While we would have been completely understanding of that, the outright lie by the electrician and lack of communication was unacceptable. I would not trust a company this unprofessional. *** In response to the owner, It's funny that our phone was "out of service" given that the technician was able to call that morning to speak with us and we were able to make multiple outbound calls to said technician only to be ignored. It doesn't excuse the outright lie by that technician to leave the worksite without without having the decency to explain why the work couldn't be done to our face. We had to reach out to the secondary company to be told that it couldn't be done. This response is the first we've even heard of what the "unsafe" conditions were. How are we supposed to correct it if we aren't communicated to? Available during winter storm. Professional…read more I am writing this on January 27, 2026. This is the first day we got above freezing since January 23, 2026. When we woke on January 24, our heater downstairs was not running. My husband tried to troubleshoot, but he could not get the system to turn on. I called our usual HVAC company, but could not get anyone to return my call. A man on our town Facebook page offered his services for anyone having an emergency during the winter storm we were having. I reached out to him, and he basically walked me through the things my husband had already tried. He told me that was the extent of his knowledge and I needed to call an HVAC company. I told him I tried but got no return call. He gave me the number for Frontline HVAC, and told me he had already called them and they were expecting my call. I made the call, which was answered immediately. The scheduling coordinator told me she would get someone out to the house (the storm was predicted to get worse that night with a low temperature of 12F.) She called me back within five minutes to tell me she had found a service tech who was going to come help us. David Hart called me about ten minutes later to say the technician could not get out of his driveway. He (Mr. Hart) said he was coming personally as soon as one of the supervisors could come with him. They arrived within the hour. Within 20 minutes, Mr. Hart came to tell us the unit could not be repaired that day. Some type of rodent had chewed through the wires to the outdoor system and fried the whole control board. Mr. Hart clearly explained all of our options, and we decided we were not going to throw good money after bad in trying to repair an 18-year-old system. He gave us three estimates for a new system, described the pros and very few cons of each system. Within ten minutes, we selected our new system, and he promised it would be installed on Tuesday (today). He also told us that since the system being replaced had evidence of mold growth, he was going to schedule a crew to come clean our ducts. Additionally, he promised a separate service call to do a maintenance check on our much smaller second unit that heats and cools our second story. He explained everything so clearly, we did not have any questions. We were so grateful he and his team member came out in a bad winter storm to help us. This morning, his crew arrived promptly, worked diligently all day, and our new system is working perfectly. Our downstairs warmed up to a comfortable 70 degrees (from the lower 60s) within 30 minutes!! We normally ran our old, inefficient system between 68 and 70 (and up to 72 when the grandchildren are here). I have turned this unit to go up to 75 because I am tired of being so cold. If you have any trouble with your HVAC system, on a typical or day or even in the midst of a terrible winter storm, call Frontline HVAC. They will respond promptly and have one of their very knowledgeable and skilled personnel help you as soon as possible. David Hart and his crew saved us during this January 2026 winter storm.

Everything seemed ok, until they came to remove their fans/dehumidifiers equipment-- then never answered their phone and never calling back, even rejecting calls from the insurance adjuster. Because of this, the insurance contracted another water/mold remediation company to finish the job. Five months later, I received a call out of the blue by this SurfPro company location. First words out of her mouth was arrogant and demanding-- that I owe them $xx,xxx because they could not contact my insurance company (5 months delay ... my phone is on file with them, so why didn't call me months earlier?) I gave them my agent's office number and received call back that my insurance found my policy and no claims have been filed on my policy. They called back while I was talking to the adjuster in charge of the claim. When I made the call 3-way, SurfPro hung up rudely saying she will not talk to my insurance in a 3-way call where there is a witness to the conversation. SurfPro refused to call back the adjuster to solve this problem, but instead said SurfPro is finished with insurance claim, and will be sending a Demand Letter threatening court lawsuit if I personally dont forget insurance and pay their invoice out of my personal funds. I repeated the claims number three times, and SurfPro told me to shut-up, they they know how to file a claim to insurance. After I called for Insurance legal department, the insurance adjuster called them because they refused to call the adjuster (like just after they left with equipment), and suddenly everything became ok -- telling him that they had the wrong claim number after verifying the number as being correct with me several times!!! SO VERY DISHONEST (Insurance has no record of SurfPro ever calling about my policy claims -- all calls are logged into computer and audio recorded to be attached to the computerized report). SO VERY RUDE. Trying to manipulate me using threats of court lawsuit because they never submitted a claim to begin with, faking having a wrong claim number after three times verifying it with me!!!

They have been a pleasure to work with and extremely professional. I've requested their service three times since we moved in. Once for an assessment, once fir a problem and today to move forward with two of their recommendations. Their crew were great guys, polite, respectful and very neat and clean. Every area that they had to walk on was covered and vacuumed when they left. We had a crew of four and all were excellent. The main point of contact for us is Cory. He does all the tech evaluation, assesses the problem and fixes on site unless it needs equipment that needs to be ordered and replaced. Cory checked in three times today, once in person. I recommend highly and plan on using them going forward. If I could rate 6 stars, I would.

More than once he's walked me through the steps to either reset or further diagnose the problem. Recently the heater went out and I was tired of messing with the company we'd originally purchased and had install the 5 ton 16 SEER Trane (nothing can stop a Trane right ... well until it just conks out four months after the 10 year warranty expires) unit. In the past Matt had suggested we call the original seller/installer or someone licensed to service Trane. Now this event came round and I refused to deal with the blankety blank company, so the husband called a company in Arlington. The service call went excellently, the office staff calling in to alert me of the expected timeline for the service agent. The service agent was kind, courteous and thorough. He even called a senior skilled person getting confirmation of the diagnosis to ensure all was correct. I'd highly recommend that company. However, I wanted a second opinion from someone I trusted. Matt agreed to come over and examine our system. By this time we'd been without heat for a week and thankfully the cold was gone for a few days. After about an hour Matt came back in and walked me through the problems and why we had no heat and eventually no cooling too. We went outside and he showed me the problem with the outside unit, I declined to climb into the attic ... I'd take his word on that part. I explained about the estimate from the Arlington based company, and he went through it. He told me that the estimate of work and the pricing from said company was fair and about what he'd expected for a replacement Trane system. I then asked him what would he do if he were to install a new unit. He explained, then came up with a price for a different brand (same as what he put in his moma's house), same tonnage and SEER. A bit over a week later Matt and his crew showed up early one morning, pulled out the old stuff and installed all new. By lunchtime they'd cleaned up the place, loaded up the old stuff into the back of their vehicles and were on their way out. Why'd I go with Matt Hunt? Because he told us the Arlington company quoted a fair price for the labor and materials. Because he's worked on our appliances for ten'ish years. He's local. He quickly connects when I reach out to him. He'll take care of us (the appliances). His way of doing business speaks of integrity.
