I am verrrry picky about massages and am working remotely in LA for a month. Got a recommendation for a massage and was told that Celio was the masseuse's masseuse. I am so glad I went. Celio doesn't follow the normal massage pattern, but starts with the areas that throw the other parts out of whack. He was honest and real about the tightness and gnarly areas and pressure he would need to use to work it out. He went in. After two years of working on some issues related to a torn patellar tendon, he resolved some pain I'd been having in my knees caused by my IT band and some unexplained bruising! And, if that was not enough, he gifted me with a travel roller so that I can keep things moving while I'm here. Let me start by saying, I've been dealing with severe sciatic pain, so my sessions with Celio haven't been the relaxing spa like massages. I know it has to be a different type of massage to work through my extremely tight muscles and ligaments. It's more like physical therapy (and psychotherapy ). That being said, he's amazing and I'm confident that once my sciatica is under control, I'll get to have that relaxing massage. Celio is so knowledgeable and caring! He's also very respectful, as a woman, that's very important to me. *** it's also important for me to mention that his studio is located behind his home and you must wait at front gate till he's done with other client and he'll let you in. I recommend txting him when you arrive. I mention this because some people may be put off at first or have concerns that he's not a legitimate business and possibly a psycho killer. I assure you, he's not dangerous :) If I hadn't read so many positive reviews, I may have been sketched out on my first appointment. Ive had massages before but CELO was hands down the best! I came in feeling incredibly sore and tired and after he was done, I felt significantly better. He really took his time in the areas that needed more work and was very respectful the whole time. He was incredibly cautious and vigilant about covid procedures and I felt very safe. he knew exactly where I needed more work done and afterwards he let me know recommendations and exercises for my back which I have found super helpful. He never once applied too much pressure but also made me feel very comfortable telling him when it was too much in one area, something I have struggled with with other massages. I have been going to PT for over a year now for frozen shoulder. Although the shoulder can now move, I still had a lot of pain in my arm muscles. Unfortunately Physiotherapists don't do proper massage. I decided to find a good Deep Tissue Masseuse to help speed things up. After working with Celio, I am now almost pain free and he is working to resolve my stiff neck too. I got SUCH a good massage! Celio is incredible and is so attentive to your needs. I had a knot in my back that had been bothering me for weeks and he really dug in there to relieve the tension. My massages (2) that I've had with Celio have been possibly the most therapeutic massages I've had in my life, and I have had MANY. He's got great energy and really assesses your body and spinal alignment before getting started, he seems to have such a vast knowledge of the body and is very careful not to exasperate any pre-existing issues.
