Popped in late-ish Saturday night for a bottle of champagne. LOUD, offensive music was playing. A very big German Shepherd was lying by the front door and I had to navigate around the dog to enter. I could only see the back of the cashier as I walked in. I found the bottle of wine and took it to the counter, and saw the cashier was not wearing a mask, despite the local rules and statewide mandate. I asked, "Dude, where's your mask?" He refused to put one on. I left the wine on the counter and walked out. If the management is unaware, this is a very poorly managed store. If management is aware, they don't deserve your money, Go to the Perfect Pour liquor store instead, as I did, at 1671 S. College Ave. on the west side of the street between Stuart and Prospect. They maintained a limit on the number of people in the store, wore masks, offered hand sanitizer, and had a plexiglass barrier. Plus, their selection was much better! read more

They just lost another customer. The cashier was extremely rude, she wrongly accused other customer of stealing from this crappy store. Always acting unprofessional, running the store like it's a nightclub, not very knowledgeable about the whiskey selections. I'm just sick and tired of the same old lazy, unfriendly manner. The cashier that was helping customers (tall young guy w/ straight brown hair) decided to take a PERSONAL phone call while helping a customer and when I came up to pay he was still on the phone talking to one of his buddies about college and other personal things. Should have read reviews. This place is lame. Why would I need to ask how much the beer is here?? Because the lazy good for nothing business doesn't have prices individual labeled for each beer (six pack or other) in the coolers. So I grab a six that's clearly labeled $9.99 (for the entire row of the same brand but different "flavors") and it rings up $13.99. I told the lady working, and she proceeds to tell me that's for the other beer. Yeah??! Which f--kin' one??! A real business would comp you the price listed on a label if it weren't ridiculously off. THAT'S HOW YOU MAINTAIN CUSTOMERS! I'll never enter that place again considering there's so many other options around. Also, they have expired beer in the cooler. I shop here all the time, and everyone has been great. They recently had a problem with a customer who presented an ID that wasn't able to be accepted, and as a result, they are now getting a ton of negative reviews and had their windows and glass doors vandalized. Don't believe the negative "racist" hype. They frequently have tastings of local brews and wines, and always offer coupons. I'm a bit disappointed in their lack of selection in refrigerated wine lately, but that's a first world problem, so I'll deal. read more

This place is small on the corner of the plaza with King Soopers. I did a tasting for Upslope here and I really enjoyed the store set up. Workers are friendly, especially the chick named Anna. Maybe I'm a bit bias since we're name twins but when you're a rad gal, I can't deny it! They have an awesome selection of beer, wine, and liquors. See ya later! Never coming here again. I've come here for almost a year but for some reason as of recently I've been accused of having a fake ID twice by the same guy. The first time he had me recite my address and I went along with everything because it's not fake. The second time he asked for my date of birth and proceeded to tell me I couldn't have my license back until the next day because it was fake and I needed to retrieve it from the manager. I was not having my real ID revoked for nothing, I've never had such a struggle in all my years in this college town. Mind you I'm 23, I own a horizontal license, and this is all based on him just looking at my license. The store doesn't have any other way for clerks to check for fake IDs such as sliding it or any sort of black light. Each time he's made mention to me he has said "I'm pretty sure this is a fake ID". I was ready to go to further lengths for such a hassle. Somehow after him scanning through an ID book for a few mins with no words exchanged to me he handed me back my license and charged my products. Don't waste your time, there are better liquor stores out there and they know what an out-of-state license looks like. read more

I shop at this store all the time. Do not believe the reviews about the store being racist. I was in the store when the guy came in with the ID. I saw everything. The clerk simply told the guy that Colorado did not allow to take a voters registration card as proof of age. The voters registration card also showed a birth date where it looked like the guy was underage. The clerk was nice and told the guy he could call the police department to verify his age. The guy said no and left the store after that a girl came in and started yelling and cussing at the clerk. The clerk asked her to leave. She demanded the guys voter ID card back. The clerk then called the police because she was acting crazy. The girl then started posting on facebook for everyone to give the store a bad review because she was angry. Like Everyliquorstore, USA, they make most of their money off of cheap wine, Jack Daniels, and Bud Light. They have a few local, imported, and craft beer options, but they're more like novelty items here; definitely not representative of the local beer culture. I picked up a bomber that wasn't priced thinking it wouldn't be more than five bucks. I returned it after if rung up for ten. The cashier told me he thought my baby was a puppy or something. He was just experiencing a lapse of self-awareness and it took everything in me to not shoot back the most incisive sarcasm I could muster. read more

DO NOT SHOP HERE!! If there was a way to post with zero stars, I would do that. I do not recommend Crystal's for a couple of reasons. 1. The clerk did not even know what grenadine is or other products that other customers asked about. 2. Then, when I was checking out, he sneezed and then cussed because he hates the "damn masks." When I said there is a light at the end of the tunnel, he said F***ing chinese. I asked him to please be careful with his statements and verbalizing his opinions and he said "Last time he "f***ing checked, this was a free country and he could say whatever he liked. G**D*** Asians." I said, when you are providing customer service, that's not how you do it. He said he didn't care what I thought and I didn't have to shop there. I said, "Good, I won't and I won't be back." He didn't give a d*** what I had to say." So, I left my things on the counter and walked out. Always friendly! Always get greeted when I come in. They have an amazing loyalty program that automatically gives youlike 10% off evey purchase. Yes they may be a little more priced than places such as supermarket liquors but they're location is right on my way home from work and close enough to home I can run up there from home and not have to be gone for 30 mins. read more

I went into Crystal's liquor on a Sunday night after Googling "liquor store open near me." Nothing else was opened on my way home from a late night workout at the gym that night. So I was very excited when I found out this liquor store was opened and hightailed it over! I was in the mood for something but not sure. My husband was out working on an all night construction job and I was looking forward to a bottle of wine and a movie when I got home to keep me company. The young employee who was working that night was so informative on the wine selection. I was very impressed and was not expecting that at all. He was a great sales person and really knew a lot about the different wines that they had in stock. It was not as big as a warehouse store but they had a huge selection of wines to choose from. He helped me narrow down my choices to a few bottles. I had decided on one for my movie night (which was all I really wanted) but then a couple more for another time. So far so good. My boyfriend bought beer here last night, as he was checking out the guy asks him if he liked the way he looks, and that guys always think they can stare at him and says that he's not gay. He was just trying to pay!!! I encouraged him to call and tell the manager but who knows who he'd actually get on the phone. RUDE clerks OVERCHARGE and keep difference at the end of the night. We shopped here on October 9, 2015 in the late afternoon. We purchased 2 bottles of locally made wine that were being sampled and were on sale along with 3 other items. I paid in all cash. After we got into the car we realized they over charged us and never gave us or offered us a receipt. Within minutes of our purchase we returned to the store and asked for a receipt. A man working there (but not the original girl cashier) immediately jumped into our conversation, dismissed the girl cashier and took over. He said he couldn't produce a receipt but everything was correct because he had rung us up. We told him it was the girl cashier and that we wanted to rescan the wine. He agreed but before he scan the 2 bottles of wine he changed the price manually and said "see, it's all correct". We insisted that our entire purchase be rescanned. Three out of the 5 items purchased rang up incorrectly and the man cashier got very defensive. He abruptly opened the register and threw $25 at us and was very rude. The difference was under $25 but he realized that we were on to their cheating scam and wanted us out of the store. DO NOT SHOP at this liquor store unless you wanted to be ripped off!!! read more
