Amma (?) was wonderful! She didn't try to up charge or sell us anything. I got a citrus pedicure with regular polish, French dip manicure, and my mom got the citrus pedicure with gel polish. The total ended up coming to $150 together before tip and we felt that was fair and that our nails looked great! They offer 1 free alcoholic drink (or soda, water, etc) while getting your nails done, and they have massage pedicure chairs. We made an appointment in the middle of the day on Tuesday (right after new year's holiday) and it was very very busy. Happy to see local businesses thriving, but a word of caution if you are looking to get in quick, you may need to be flexible or get lucky with a less busy time.

My nails started lifting and chipping after only one week, which has never happened to me before they usually last 4 weeks. When I reached out to have them fixed, I was told I would need to pay again. I understand things can happen, but when nails don't even last a week, I would expect some kind of accommodation or accountability--especially as a returning customer. Sadly, this experience has made me reconsider coming back.

My artist was a little rude when we didn't upgrade, but very kind about the color and the pedicure was overall very nice. Every single one of them was continued to be asked over and over if they wanted gel polish. After saying no twice, they finally said yes, feeling the pressure from adult running this business. Their total at checkout came to $56. I understand they eventually agreed to gel polish instead of regular polish, but no salon should continue to badger kids to upsell. Be warned if you come here!! I also called the manager to discuss and he admitted he would be upset if this was his child. Hmm.

I have went to a different location in Kansas City, and they did my nails just fine. But this location really messed up my nails. they also did not tell me what they would be charging me until they were about to charge my card. Without a tip, the total came to $73 and I paid $83.. I asked for an orange color with two French tip nails on each hand, and a very simple, minimalist star design only on the nails that had French tips. The first photo that I have shown in this review is the design that I wanted on the French tips, and the rest of the pictures are what I ended up leaving with... on top of the design issue, my cuticles are very swollen as you can probably see in the pictures because of the drill used for my nails. I also have a couple of blood nicks from the drill. overall, I really did not like this experience and I do not plan on coming back. Today especially, it was very disappointing to have this happen, because I have felt very bad lately and just wanted to do something nice for myself. now, I am out $83 and have to go spend another $30 at least to fix my nails. I assume that a partial or full refund isn't an option, although that would be ideal. I am a full-time college student so money does not come easily to me...

If that were the case I would've just done it myself. *sighs* The chairs weren't massage chairs or if it was- they hid the remote for it really well and didn't tell me.

I believe the technician mentioned they charge extra for each color used in the design, so that's something to keep in mind if you're getting nail art. I should've asked beforehand. It also took about 2 1/2 hours which I also wasn't expecting. The salon was also very busy and crowded.
