The appointment confirmation didn't even include the provider's name, and no one told me beforehand that the provider was out of network. When I brought this up, the office simply told me it was my responsibility and refused to take any responsibility for assigning me to an out-of-network provider without letting me know. I think patients should be told this upfront so they can decide whether to proceed. I used to really like this place because of Dr. Rob, but he has since left. I had already been switching hygienists because I felt the cleanings were often rushed and not thorough ( I was in a dental hygiene program). I kept coming back mainly because I trusted Dr. Rob, but now that he's gone, I think it's time to find another dental office.

I know most people judge a dentist on how gentle, attentive and friendly they are, and Dr. O excels in all those areas, but what I really care about is skill. Can he perform a difficult root canal, or build up a broken-off tooth for a crown so it doesn't have to be pulled - that's what I care about. I'm in my 50's and plan on dying with a full set of real teeth! Dr. Ovcharenko is a genius, with the hands of a surgeon. Twice now, I've had crowns that were put on 35 years ago break off, leaving barely any tooth above the gumline. He saved me from having to have an implant both times. I recently moved cross county to the West Coast, and when a dentist there told me I needed to have my tooth pulled, I bought a plane ticket to VA to see if Dr. Ovcharenko could provide any better options. He performed a difficult root canal and set me up so that I can get a new crown instead, saving my tooth and saving me more than enough money (from not having to go to an oral surgeon for an implant) to pay for the plane trip. I can't say that I'll keep flying cross country for every filling and tooth cleaning, but when it comes to the important dental work, there is no one I trust more than Dr. Ovcharenko.

The staff truly makes this office stand out. Tonia at the front desk is incredibly helpful with scheduling and logistics and genuinely tries to make things easy for patients. On the clinical side, I worked closely with Christina, who assisted with my temporary crowns and works closely with Dr. Vakay. What really stood out to me was that after learning I was having surgery (unrelated to dental work), Christina actually reached out afterward to check on how I was doing. That kind of thoughtfulness is rare and says a lot about the people in this office. I also worked with Rose, who was equally careful, precise, and kind. Overall, this is a professional, caring team that clearly goes above and beyond for their patients. I'm very glad I found this office and would absolutely recommend them.

I did a few searches and ended up making my first appointment with Dr. Cha at C&R Dental Care. My first impression was how nice the receptionist greeted me on the phone, she helped me through everything I needed to do to schedule my new patient appointment. When I arrived they had everything setup to follow covid protocols, they had me fill out a form to ensure I understood the guidelines and made sure I wasn't sick, nor near anyone in the last 14 days. They had me wait in the car and call the office to go it. Once in, the front office staff kindly greeted me, checked my temperature and brought me back. The dental hygienist greeted me and proceeded to clean my teeth. They have a lot of new/cool technology when I visited and the office was super clean. Dr. Cha and his team were awesome! Dr. Cha was super nice and explained everything I needed to get done. He also made me feel very comfortable (I've had dentists who made me feel super horrible for getting cavities or not brushing right). It had been years since my last ever dental visit, and he was able to get all my cavities treated quickly within 2 appointments! He also recommended me to a great oral surgeon to get my wisdom teeth out (one was impacted and close to the nerve). He also does Invisalign, so I will be coming back for that soon! :) Overall, the experience was more than I could hope for. If you're looking for a great practice, with state of the art technology and a staff who cares about their patients, Dr. Cha and team wins! My visit with Dr Rohini Banavar DMD. I have travelled About…read more60 countries in the past while working for United Nations and have been to numerous Dental clinics all over the world. Dr Banavar beats all of them hands down. Let me explain as to why I feel that Dr Banavar is outstanding in providing an all round professional care. It starts when you enter her Clinic. When you walk into her Clinic you feel you have come to a very safe and a comfortable place and then you are greeted by two smart and articulate young ladies Ms.Biancha and Ms.Salina at the front desk. These two young ladies are very proficient in answering all your questions and more so guiding you correctly as to what the process would be and even explaining as to how the insurance system works and how much would be your part to bear so that there are no surprises and all this is done in an articulate and respectable manner. The best is that they are very pleasant all the while... service with a "smile". Then you are called by Dr. Banavar's assistance who guides you to the comfortable Dental Chair and all is prepared for the patient to be seen by the Doctor ... all this is done with care and respect. I have been under Dr Banavar's care for the last about 10 years. She has always cared for the patients well being and her treatment is based on 'what is best for the individual patient'... there is no 'one glove fits all'... Dr.Banavar takes time that is required to diagnose the problem and she never rushes. Dr. Banavar is very knowledgable and is very accurate in her findings and I can assure you this thru personal experiences. Going out of the way to save your teeth is her normal way to treat a patient. The few times that I have been seen by her she saved my teeth from being removed and restored them thus allowing me its proper usage. Dr.Banavar does not waste time in beating around the bush and she is very direct and clear in her approach for the best of the Patient. Dr. Banavar will always discuss the approach with the patient to make the patient aware and to make them realise the outcome. The best part is that Dr.Banavar will also let you know as to if there are any alternatives and also as to what could be the outcome if a corrective process/procedures are not done... this again is thru my personal experiences as I had delayed a procedure that was suggested by Dr.Banavar and during covid time I was stuck overseas and could not get any required attention for my issues ... it was at that time I realised "I wish I had listened to Her". Few of my friends are her patients and they too have the same opinion that "Dr.Banavar cares about the patient welfare" Dr.Banavar's treatment is based on What is the best for the patient. I am glad that I am in safe hands of Dr.Banavar.

I was referred to her thru my Dad who has always been enthusiastic about Dr. Mayer - my left molar broke in two (thanks, BubbleYum!) at work on Thursday evening and I HAD to have it fixed, the hole was open and sure to cause significant damage. My dad called Kelly's personal cellphone, she had never seen me, but was able to fit me in last minute early Friday morning. She moved around her busy schedule for me and took her time, diagnosing and fixing the tooth to perfection, and she did so swiftly so I could make a flight 2 hours away in Baltimore that afternoon. I returned for a routine check up and I have never had my teeth so thoroughly examined in my life by any other dentist (and I have had my fair share of dental and ortho work). Dr. Mayer is so knowledgable, and she's a real pro (she seems so young you'd think she just got into the biz but she works like she's a 50 year vet). She has an incredibly calm and soothing demeanor and at times I actually felt rested and unbothered when I had to have 6 cavities filled at once. The staff is friendly, prompt, and organized. Every hygienist that has worked on me has been gentle and efficient. The atmosphere is positive and upbeat. Best dental experience I have ever had. Seriously, go see her. Side note: I am familiar with dentistry on a base level as I worked an odd job at a nearby dentist for some months. I had such a terrible experience with it (admonishment/degradation from the owner, negative atmosphere, staff did not gel, patients could HEAR the owner yelling at staff in the back, etc) that I was scared off of dentists for two years (hence the six fillings ;)) Not anymore. I have such respect for Contemporary Dentistry and I am now happy to go to the office and my faith in the practice as a whole is restored because of these staff members' dedication, professionalism, and friendliness. Really, we don't realize how difficult dentistry is, looking in people's gnarly mouths every day and dealing with whatever crazy surprise comes up, but Dr. Mayer and her staff make it seem like a breeze. Make your appointment today! You won't be disappointed :)
