He was extremely patient helping me select my counters from choice of materials, layouts, prefab vs slab. Carlos is just so friendly and easy to talk to, while demonstrating his extreme expertise in everything there is to know about counters (materials, prefab vs slab, installation techniques, options). After picking out my quartz selection from his recommended supplier, Elite Stone Group, everything went like clockwork. Carlos and his team measured my kitchen, picked the counters from Elite Stone, cut to size in his warehouse, and installed to absolute perfection. Every cut, every hole, every edge was precise, and accurate. I appreciated how his team worked clean, with extreme workmanship and confidence. The end result was just absolutely stunning. I have received so many compliments on the counters from friends, family and contractors. The five star reviews Corner Stone has is for REAL. I would highly highly recommend putting complete trust in Carlos in installing your counters. As a pro tip, the counter selection is as important, if not more so, than your cabinets; recommend ALWAYs going with slab to get the least amount of seams, and matching of patterns across cuts. Doing a kitchen once and right is the approach to take. Lastly, Cornerstone pricing is excellent; comparing custom slab install prices to prefab installs offered by cabinet installers; is not apples to apples, so make sure to compare slab to slab install prices only. 5+ stars for Carlos and Corner Stone Granite Designs! I can't wait to do my wet bar with Carlos this year! Thanks Carlos for your expertise and help!

When he came over to bid on our business, he went above and beyond others and took very detailed measurements, opened the boxes where we held the new appliances and measured those, and offered advice and ideas that others did not. Once we notified him that we selected him we worked with him on all next steps of the process and his communication was excellent throughout. No issues with waiting longer than a standard industry of 24 hours. Once we paid for the 3 slabs of granite we notified him and he made arrangements to pick them up and take them to our house for fabrication. Granted, his turn around time is about 7 days, which I wish could of been shortened, but it was all worth it in the end. They brought 1,500 pounds of granite to our house, measured and fabricated it all on the spot. They did an incredible job! We had granite done on a previous house by another fabrication company, and it was a terrible job, so we know what a shotty job looks like based on that experience. The granite was level, the seams between two pieces were perfectly aligned and if you run your finger over it you won't feel the transition from one slab to the other, and lastly they caulked the seams through perfectly water tight. The guys spent 8 hours at our house and they made sure we were 100% satisfied with their work. We were! Their prices were very competitive and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone wanting granite or marble fabrication done.

On that note, let me tell you that hiring Luis to do our flooring was one of the wisest choices I made in this journey. From the first phone call, Luis has been extraordinarily adept with communication (which to me is huge!)-- he answers phone calls, returns phone calls, always responds to texts messages in a timely manner, and has always been professional and courteous (same goes for his crew). Discussing pricing was easy, and extremely reasonable. He and his crew have always been on time, and have met their timeframe deadlines (I hired them for two jobs thus far). This is not to mention how amazing their work and work ethic are! My general contractor for the bulk of our shop (separate from KR T&S) had made a comment about how in his 20+ years of being in this business has only seen one other company prep (for the floors before placing tile) as thoroughly as them. Luis was always more than willing to lend a hand in anything he could within his capacity--he introduced us to several of his own contacts for other areas of work not pertaining to tile. I was so pleased with my experience with KR T&S, that I went on to hire Luis' referral for another area of work, and I'm so happy I did. Thank you so much Luis, I am beyond happy with our floors, and will contact you for our tile/stone needs from here on out!

The entire kitchen had to be remodeled - floors, cabinets, personal property, etc. It was stressful, and when it came to redoing our kitchen, my husband and I decided we wanted to change the color scheme. We opted for black, white, and a touch of gold. We contacted Francisco and Domitilia; they visited our home as the construction was ongoing. Our contractor and Francisco spoke and collaborated on custom measurements and cabinets. I also went to his office in Whittier to review the material; he was accommodating and ensured everything was to my liking. Before moving forward, they provided us with a 3D sketch of the plan and how it would look. He made adjustments accordingly, and we decided also to have him do our laundry area. Our space is small, and we wanted to maximize it, so measurements were vital. Nonetheless, it's been a few months, and I am pleased with the outcome. Everything is exactly how I wanted, and our guests are constantly impressed with our new upgrades. I would recommend First Choice to all my friends. They are reliable, easy to work with, and very professional. Thank you!

To update my review below: I don't know who these people are…read morewho are happy with Edwin's work but I guess they got lucky. After Edwin had promised to do a walk through of the job and to arrange for my very large remnant (most of the slab) of calacatta viola marble to be returned to me, he ghosted me. I had my lawyer send him a letter because Edwin/JNA is working as an unlicensed specialty contractor and as such is subject to full disgorgement of everything I paid him and he still chooses to behave unprofessionally and will not reply or return calls so that I can get my stone back. Who behaves like this? I'll be pursuing him and his company in court I hope the time Edwin is going to lose trying to defend himself will be worth the few hours he could have taken to drive to the project to see all the issues and arrange for the return of my slab. I have renovated several houses and have never had such a bad experience with a counter fabricator. Communication with Edwin Meza, the owner, was horrible. Once he has your money he's too busy soliciting his next project. I made a down payment in April and to this day, he has not even performed a walk through to address the issues. The first indication of the poor quality of the work was when they installed the kitchen counters and I saw that, without consulting me, they had chosen two completely unmatched pieces to seam together in an obvious location when the other end of the counter would have been a much better match to the filler piece and used a piece to complete the counter run. They left me with so much damage to walls. I don't understand how they could even cause this much damage. I've included photos. Edwin, the owner, is too busy soliciting work to supervise what his workers are doing on site. One of my slabs was polished calacatta viola slab. They left it dull and honed the edges and didn't even realize it was polished when I pointed it out. I have repeatedly requested dimensions and photos of the large remnant of this calacatta viola slab from my project of which they're still in possession despite my multiple requests that it be returned to me. The calacatta viola was to have been used in two bathrooms and they managed to screw up in both as well. I had agreed with Edwin's worker Kevin that the reveal at the counter in the master bath be 3/8". Instead, the reveal is all over the place, from non-existent to 1/4". In the guest en suite, they were tasked with cutting a shower curb out of the slab. They had the measurements and they still cut one end too short and snuck in a filler piece without telling me, leaving me to discover it later when I was cleaning up. I had bought bathroom sinks and when I met with Edwin, we discussed that he would take them to the shop. He declined and just took the templates. The two guest bathrooms in the house were to have the same Kohler sink. The ADU bathroom had a smaller sink, a better fit for the smaller vanity. Wouldn't you guess it? Edwin "thought" they all had the same sink and so the sink opening for the ADU counter was cut too big and in the interest of time, I relented and let them install the larger Kohler sink in the ADU and now the larger guest vanity has a much smaller sink which infuriates me every time I look at it. The stainless steel kitchen sink in the ADU was left smeared with who knows what and has drip marks I can't get out. There is more, but this should be enough to warn unsuspecting victims to stay away. A contractor friend came by and said it's the worst fabrication job he's ever seen. Way to go, JNA!
