The staff is consistently gracious and accommodating, which really sets them apart from other restaurants that seem to dread large parties. Even on a busy Friday night, we were seated in under thirty minutes. Our waiter was friendly, attentive, and handled multiple tables with ease. He stayed on top of our orders and refills, and he took allergies seriously, checking with the kitchen to make sure certain dishes were safe. That level of care is always appreciated. As always, the food was excellent. I usually go for the crabcakes, but this time I tried the special, a crowned salmon, and it was so tasty. They truly do seafood well here, and the portions are always hearty. Every experience here is consistently great. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the manager even stopped by our table to check in, which was a nice touch. I always recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Williamsburg.

Want to go back and try more of their delicious food! It's not overly large inside so coming at an off time (right at 4) we were able to get a seat but I bet it can get busy! The restaurant was fairly empty, with only three other tables occupied, so we were surprised by the length of the wait. Our two canned Sapporos didn't arrive until about 30 minutes after ordering. The shrimp sandwich took approximately 45 minutes, and the Vang rolls arrived after about an hour. After waiting an hour, we were informed that the garlic shrimp for our garlic noodles was unavailable, despite it being part of our original order. Unfortunately, the Vang rolls were so salty that we couldn't finish them. Throughout the meal, our water glasses were never refilled, and there was little communication about the delays or unavailable menu items. After roughly 90 minutes of waiting, multiple delays, and learning that several items were unavailable, we decided to pay for what we had received the two Sapporos, the shrimp sandwich, and the Vang rolls, which came to about $70. Perhaps we visited on an off night, but the combination of the slow service, poor communication, unavailable menu items, and disappointing food quality made for a frustrating experience. Based on this visit, I don't see myself returning. +1 Vibe +0 Taste +0 Presentation +0 Service +0 Value

On that note she was very attentive and kept checking on us and kept our sweet teas full. Sorry no pictures today. And trust me, it lives up to the name. Lee Lee's Comfort Cuisine is tucked on 43rd & Jefferson, right near Chik-A-Sea on 44th. I had the pleasure of visiting & talking with the owners -- beautiful people with amazing energy & welcoming spirits. The 1st time I went, I ordered the Salisbury steak (or chop steak -- call it what you want). It was two PCs of meat for $19.99 and came with two sides & a piece of cornbread. I chose the mac & cheese, sweet potatoes, & added a side of green beans. Baby... listen -- the Salisbury steak had substance! Not that soft, fluffy stuff like Piccadilly's. It was meaty, juicy, & seasoned just right. The sweet potatoes were sweet but not too sweet, & the mac and cheese was creamy, cheesy, & made with love. Now the green beans? I was shocked -- no pork in them, but they were still full of flavor! You'd swear somebody grandma put her foot in 'em. They made me want 2nds! I told my people about it, & the very next day I was back -- got pork chops for my mom, Salisbury steak for my sister, and fried chicken for my friend. And just like b4, everything hit. One day I tried to stop by Piccadilly's for their 2 for $30 deal, but the line was out the door. I ended up back at Lee Lee's, and I was so glad I did. That day, she had roasted chicken with cream of mushroom sauce & some fried fish. She switches it up & even asks her customers what they'd like to see on the weekend menu. She's open every day except Tuesday -- yes, even Sundays & Mondays. She also has a sit-down area, & the place is clean, smells good, & feels welcoming. This used to be Roadside Café, & the vibe is still homey, just fresher. Please go support this young woman & her family. Her food is amazing, the prices are more than reasonable, & the customer service is top-tier. From the owners to the folks walking in, the whole place just feels like community. You won't be disappointed -- it's a must-try. It's a True Taste of Love & Flavor on Jefferson Avenue.

In 2023, they closed their original location of Shore Drive and set sights on a new local which was expanded. They have finally reopened and we got a chance to stop in to see how they were doing. Let's check it out shall we? We were seated a minute after walking in. There were a few people dining inside on this cloudy day. The decor is nice resembling a type of restaurant you may see in New Orleans. Right when I was looking through the menu, I ran into Chef Moe who greeted me with a handshake. It has been years since we last saw each other but the vibes came right back since Sophia and I were long-standing customers. We couldn't talk long since he was busy, but it was great to run into him again smiling from ear to ear seeing me there. Great people indeed. How was the food you might ask? Pretty damn good. We both ordered their fried catfish meals with sides (mine came with fries and sweet cornbread and Sophia's with mashed potatoes and gravy and mac-and-cheese). The fish was seasoned perfectly and was huge. It was big enough to cover a football field (just kidding). The fries, as always, tasted great and the cornbread was delish. The both of us ended up taking home leftovers where the food didn't lose any taste from before. It was so refreshing to stop by after so many years. And it was wonderful seeing Chef Moe continue to bring good vibes to the Norfolk community through his cooking. You know we'll be back soon. Till next time :)
