Good radio station catering to audiences who enjoyed songs from the late 90s 'til the present…read more Very frequent rotation though on current Top 40 hits, but I guess that's the point of charting songs based on airplay. My concern though is how selective the songs they play. Not much country (not sure if they even played Morgan Wallen's Last Night with 16 weeks at Billboard #1 at its belt). Never played Kendrick Lamar's Not Like Us which was big in 2024, although being about Canadian Drake is obviously a reason.

TheHazeFM is a great online radio station that is doing things in internet radio that have yet to be done in southern Ontario (dare I say Ontario or even Canada). Station owner Peter Whitaker and his staff are putting an A+ in Adult Contemporary in Mississauga. However unlike other regional radio stations, with the HazeFM you don't need to be from Mississauga to enjoy. Whether sitting at you computer in Newmarket OR walking the streets of Unionville (Markham) all you need do is open their website up on your browser and the sweet sounds of the HAZE surround you! However, Adult Contemporary isn't for everyone (this I know). Not to worry, with an array of different Disc Jockeys on staff, each show can and does have a different sound to it - take for example their SugarNSpice show hosted by Stephanie McKenzie (@Steviejoxo on twitter). No matter your flavour TheHazeFM certainly has become "The Voice of Mississauga," and I plan on tuning in more often to help support local radio - I recommend you do the same!

We were either listening to CHFI 98.1 or CHUM FM. I associate CHFI whenever I visit my dentist these days. I listen to CHUM FM mostly in the mornings. Growing up, it was the Roger, Rick, and Marilyn show in the morning. Rick Hodge resigned. Roger and Marilyn continued until Roger retired. Darren B. Lamb joined the morning crew, but also resigned. Jamar and Marilyn were great, but he moved to the afternoon drive with Josie Dye. It's now Marilyn and David, which has also been great. Marilyn seemed like a permanent fixture and beacon of light for nearly forty years. She announced this morning that she'll be leaving the radio station and the morning program this summer. She has had a wonderful career. I'll miss her voice in the morning. After forty years, I can see that she wants to sleep in and do something different! I love listening to Ruby Carr when she starts her show at 9 am. I normally have a bunch of meetings throughout the morning, so I normally catch bits of her show. I also like Azalea Hart. She does nights. Sometimes, she's works weekends. Some format changes have been weird. There used to be a sixty-second news break. It has disappeared. There's What's Trending? It's not the same, though. It has more of an entertainment spin than news. Traffic reports continue, which I appreciate when I head into work on Wednesdays. I don't mind the music that this station airs. Sure, some songs are played ad nauseam. Eventually, it'll stop. I typically stream this station on my phone. Otherwise, if I'm in my car, the FM channel has this station as a favourite. (95)
