Tip: Stream this station using the iHeartRadio app…read more I have listened to CHUM 104.5 for what feels like eons. When I was learning how to drive in my dad's car, the radio was on. We were either listening to CHFI 98.1 or CHUM FM. I associate CHFI whenever I visit my dentist these days. I listen to CHUM FM mostly in the mornings. Growing up, it was the Roger, Rick, and Marilyn show in the morning. Rick Hodge resigned. Roger and Marilyn continued until Roger retired. Darren B. Lamb joined the morning crew, but also resigned. Jamar and Marilyn were great, but he moved to the afternoon drive with Josie Dye. It's now Marilyn and David, which has also been great. Marilyn seemed like a permanent fixture and beacon of light for nearly forty years. She announced this morning that she'll be leaving the radio station and the morning program this summer. She has had a wonderful career. I'll miss her voice in the morning. After forty years, I can see that she wants to sleep in and do something different! I love listening to Ruby Carr when she starts her show at 9 am. I normally have a bunch of meetings throughout the morning, so I normally catch bits of her show. I also like Azalea Hart. She does nights. Sometimes, she's works weekends. Some format changes have been weird. There used to be a sixty-second news break. It has disappeared. There's What's Trending? It's not the same, though. It has more of an entertainment spin than news. Traffic reports continue, which I appreciate when I head into work on Wednesdays. I don't mind the music that this station airs. Sure, some songs are played ad nauseam. Eventually, it'll stop. I typically stream this station on my phone. Otherwise, if I'm in my car, the FM channel has this station as a favourite. (95)

I find that George Noory commands the night and blankets most good radio stations in Canada and in the US. I find the show exagerates issues alot and I think they could be made up i don,t know. What ever happened to Art bells new show called Midnight in the Desert? It didin,t have a long run on radio which I think its the result of George Noory. I think he is responsible for Art not being on the air.The weekend shows I don,t like maybe I might tune into Roy Green from 2 to 5pm but i usually don,t. The station has a pretty good signal but once past London Ont it gets weaker.I don,t know how far north and south and east it reaches.Anyways I get sometimes upset listening to Coast to Coast and wonder how they get there subjects and the people behind them. I have googled the shows guests and I do get reasonable results on those people. How creditable are they? I don,t know. So if you want to be disturbed this is the place and the station to listen to.

He becomes unhinged and insults the opinions of Canadians who don't agree with his far right attitude. His temperament and anger gives me anxiety just listening. Too bad they got rid of 3 amazing women and put Mulroney in the mix. I feel like I am listening to Fox news. We are done. Rather listen to Audio books.

I'm a huge fan of their Monday to Friday drive to work and back to work shows. I love new and old…read moreCanadian rock/indie music so I was overjoyed to find that they play a ton of bands and singer-songwriter types from Canada and all over the world. They also play a pretty eclectic mix of old funk, classic rock, retro 80s and other stuff, which is majorly expanding my musical IQ. Unlike a certain other radio station that has been playing the same 500 songs on repeat for the past 15 years, heavy rotation at this station means playing a song once in the morning and once in the afternoon for about a month or so. Then it's on to the next new song. Bonus: they play tracks from the whole album, not just the singles. I don't actually listen to any of the other shows (I prefer to listen to CBC radio 1 than their classical shows) so I can't speak to how good they are. Frankly, I love that the station has such a great range in music they play, so that someday when I get over the trauma of childhood piano lessons, I will have a good station in which to enjoy classical music.

I avoid, or let's say, can't stand the pop-rock and news banter they have forced on us. I will…read morelisten to Tempo, but the oft repeated classical play list and breathy banter of the hostess puts it strictly in the background. Tempo is followed by Tom Allen at 1 PM, and we get one good hour of intelligent classical programming, like a combo of Goth and Kerr in the old days, before he sneaks in some light pop music and sets the stage for 8 hours of pop-rock with inane stale news comments. So, there is one good hour of classical programming, and a fairly interesting night line up of jazz and Signal until midnight. The rest of the programming is expensively produced drivel with declining ratings. Too bad we have to pay for it. edit April 4 2015. CBC 2 has improved their Saturday and Sunday offerings, with Pietro, Kathryn Duncan, and others, so I am upgrading from 1* to 3*. I hear that their ratings have tanked since the pop/rock formula came in. They could possibly regain their stature if they dropped commercialized pop format with stupid news comments that are stale by the time they get to air.
