The places were loud and the music was not cohesive to the ambiance. We luckily found the Harrison Speakeasy and we had such a wonderful time. It's open late and really gives the speakeasy vibes that so many "speakeasies" are lacking these days. The music was great. The DJ was very impressive and played a nice array of music. Seamlessly mixing old and new salsa and more. The drinks - we finally had some good drinks here! I was so happy after the previous bars we had been to. The only downside here was that we got there and were having such a good time, then it closed and we were left wanting more. It was such a nice time and I really appreciated the opportunity to visit during our trip!

It was a bit funny seeing another country's interpretation of "American culture" but I think Harrison nailed it - from the New York newspaper menus to the classy interior to the expertly made cocktails. I could not decide on the cocktail menu, so the bartender asked me what my preferences were. She whipped up a mint banana drink and it was SO AMAZINGLY GOOD. Like one of the best cocktails of my life. AND it was only $6!! (Granted, all the cocktails in Buenos Aires are $6 USD) During my visit to Buenos Aires I also tried two of the "world's top 50" bars: Tres Monos and Floreria Atlantico. Honestly, I think Harrison has them both beat in terms of ambiance and beverage. Wonderful experience and I will definitely come back the next time I'm in town.

The tea did its job, warmed me up, settled things down. But sitting there watching plates fly by, especially their famous burger, I couldn't help but feel like I missed out. Guess I'll have to come back when I'm at full strength and give it the fair shot it deserves. Some meals aren't meant to be judged halfway.

Pony Line is located inside the Four Seasons Buenos Aires. It serves at the hotel's main lounge,…read morethus is open only at night. ATMOSPHERE: Located just off the lobby, it's a small space with lounges, high tops and bar seating. It' s not a dance club by any means. The crowd was younger-local and the vibe felt like an upscale social event, making for easy conversation with not too loud DJ music. Decor is warm and contemporary. MENU: Bar-style apps, charcuterie, sandwiches, burgers, salads, pizzas, desserts. While we didn't eat, my spouse and I were looking for a night cap. Because we were guests of the hotel, we didn't have to pay a cover charge. Being that it was a Saturday night, the place was filled but not overly crowded, meaning no seats were available but no one was standing around either. We were told we'd get a spot ASAP but instead of waiting, we decided to walk across the street to the row of restaurants that are under the freeway overpass. Personally, I like to explore the city and not just stay in the hotel anyway. As expected while walking by the place on a Sunday night, it was completely empty! Oh well. OVERALL: Maybe next time we'll get to experience the food and drinks. So, it's a 3-star for now.
