My best friend booked me a facial from this salon so I thought I would book myself a massage for the same morning! I saw they had a Yelp deal for the massages for $49 so I booked it! When they called to confirm my apt the day before, I let them know I'd be using my Yelp deal and I was told "oh that's really old, we don't honor that anymore. But we can offer you $10 off" I really wanted the massage so I decided to keep it. Unfortunately the massage was not worth the $89 I paid. It wasn't relaxing and I felt the massage therapist was rushing through it. The facial was great however and I was super happy with it! I was very disappointed with my experience with this place. Endless calls or texts about canceling my appointment at the last minute, or rescheduling my visit to another day or time, equipment breakdown, no worker you need, workers quitting or getting sick. Complete disrespect for the client or their needs. Lack of communication skills when working with the client at the reception desk. No apologies, only disgruntled faces. Weak instructions before and after the service. Most importantly, after going through many laser procedures and Cryoskin slimming, there are no visible results. Just wasted time and money. When I asked to speak to a manager, I was denied and one of the workers Sandhia identified herself as a manager, although I highly doubt that was true. So if you have a problem, you will not be able to speak to management to complain. All they want from a customer is to come, pay money and leave. Stay away from this place. read more

Just had my first prenatal massage with Astrid and had to immediately write this review since I was really impressed. I am currently 5 months pregnant and needed another massage this month and couldn't get in with my regular therapists so I booked it last minute with Cru Day Spa. Im glad I did! I had a great experience overall. I was greeted by friendly front desk staff and asked to fill out some forms in their tranquil room. It has such a calming and relaxing vibe overall. There was a Keurig machine for coffee and a cucumber lemon water dispenser. There was no wait for my massage and was then greeted by my massage therapist, Astrid, who really made sure she understood my needs. I asked for a relaxing massage and it truly was. She wasn't afraid to go a little deeper on my neck and upper back area since she felt some tension. She even started to massage with hot stones to help break up my muscles a little better. Overall she had a great technique. She was making sure I was comfortable throughout the whole massage by asking me if I was doing okay and if the pressure was adequate. I will definitely be back for my next prenatal massage with her. Also my husband had first had his massage with her last week and he said she was wonderful for his Swedish massage. I'm hesitant to post, because the location is nice, the front desk friendly, but the massage itself was terrible. The pillow, neck rest was broken, so I felt sore after the massage. It wasn't exactly a soothing environment due to speaker malfunctions. My husband told me his table wasn't much better. The quality overall was just poor. They left parts of a face mask on my face and let me walk out without noticing. I ended up at a supermarket looking like a crazy person. It's just those little things that let you know they weren't really paying attention and Cru Day Spa was more about image than actual quality. No one was rude, but if you feel sore after a massage, they leave grey cosmetic marks on your face, and don't take care of their own equipment? Would you want to go back? I don't. Very swanky, clean, beautiful decor. My technician was friendly, informative, and complimentary. Her hands were soft and she had a gentle touch on my face. I will be back to see her in probably 3 months, but will recommend to my friends and family. I believe her name was Simaya, or something similar (so sorry, I was so relaxed, I forgot it), and she was Indian and a joy! I got the microderm abrasion face and neck facial for an hour and fifteen minutes I believe. Totally worth the cost all, and they are familiar with African American skin changes. read more

I'm a bit confused by this place, as I bought a Groupon for "Spa Heaven" and it led me here. I'm not sure if Spa Heaven is part of Cru Day Spa or sublets from them, but they definitely use the same suite in the same strip center. When my wife and I came in, the receptionist led us to a waiting area that was nicely decked out. Things kind of went downhill from there. The "couples" massage room was basically a single bed room with two beds crammed in there, and it was much warmer than I'd ever encountered at any other massage parlor. The audio in the facility was terrible. They had some kind of jazz style music playing that kept getting interrupted by loud bursts of static, which was very jarring. My therapist stepped aside to try to fix it a couple of times, then gave up and ended up just swapping it out for something else. The massage itself was okay, nothing great, but the cramped quarters made things awkward. You could tell that the spacing gave her more ability to work on my right side than my left (since the beds were so close together), which led to a very uneven massage. It was also annoying that whenever she worked out my right arm, my hand hit the wall, which completely broke any sense of relaxation I had. My wife's bed didn't have an attached headrest, so hers was on the bed itself. She said the angle actually made things worse on her neck, and even though the therapist focused a bit extra on her neck and shoulders, she ended up leaving feeling WORSE than when she came in. The "choice of mini facials" that were advertised in the Groupon were hardly as advertised. There was no choice-- they had one option, you could opt in or opt out. Even worse, with how dark it was in the room, they had no clue if they got the mask off when they tried to remove it. They ended up touching me up with a towel after we finished to make sure all of mine was off, but when we were running an errand later in a grocery store, I noticed under the fluorescent lighting that they'd completely missed three areas of my wife's face. She was mortified that she'd been walking around with parts of a face mask still on her face. We will not be going back here again. Even if Spa Heaven is a separate entity subletting from Cru, Cru is still responsible for the tiny room for a couples massage, the terrible sound system, the uncomfortably hot room, and the poor lighting. They initially sent me to voicemail 4 times during business hours (which has never happened before)when I called to inquire about the charges. They answered when I called from a different number. If I was JUST rating the massage and masseuse (James), this would be a 5 star review. However, it seems as though there are some kinks in the experience and process that need to be worked out, so I'm deducting a star. My mother has been raving about James for a while, so I had to try him out. In the past week, I have had a 1.5 hour massage and a 2 hour massage from him. In a word: Amazing. James is the masseuse to visit. He's fantastic. He's a personal trainer in addition to being a masseuse, so he understands the body in a more complete way. He loves what he does and his positive attitude shines through. He will break down any and all knots you have and you'll feel like a million bucks. He's very intuitive and gauges the right pressure based on the client. The location is nice and clean and the ambiance is perfect for a day spa. The relaxation room and the infused water are great touches. The front desk staff is sweet and helpful, but are sometimes a bit confused with scheduling and seem a bit flustered. In the last week, both my mother and I have received confirmation calls from a slightly confused staff member. My first massage time was changed on me (from the time I made the appointment) without notice... I was only made aware when I received a reminder email. When I received the confirmation call for my 2nd massage, I wanted to verify with the staff member the time and length of my appointment. She seemed confused and put me on hold to check and make sure it was scheduled for 2 hours. I had a groupon for a 60- minute massage here. Calling in for an appointment was very simple. I just had to give a credit card number or my groupon number to reserve the spot and I had mine reserved 2 days later on a Friday afternoon. The receptionist was very friendly and upon arriving at the location for my appointment, he greeted me and took me to their "Tranquility lounge" to fill out some paperwork and drink some spa water which is water infused with lemon and orange. The receptionist was very knowledgeable about the massages and gave me information on their promotions for that week as well as answered all my questions about types of massages and prices. He also gave me a tour of their facilities which was very impressive! I have TMJ (dislocated jaw joint) which results in tight neck,shoulder and back muscles and an achy/painful jaw/facial muscles. I talked to the massage therapist and she gave me suggestions on various techniques I could purchase/add to my package for an addition price which I turned down because I didn't want to pay more but I definitely will try it next time! The massage overall was fantastic. She gave me time to change and did a full body massage which was very relaxing. She adjusted the amount of pressure when I asked for certain areas of soreness but overall, I definitely enjoyed the experience! I will definitely come back again and bring some friends for a girls date! At the end of the hour, I felt relaxed and I was given another cup of water before leaving. I bought what I thought was a $189 package for my wife's birthday. After giving the package she did not use the package because she didn't have the time. I went back to get a refund and the ladies at the counter that sold me the package told me their was no refunds on gift cards. A) I did not buy a gift card and B) no were does it say no refunds and she certainly didn't tell me no refunds. They still refuse to refund my money and it would be nice to finally find a gift for my wife. Horrible service and no regards for customer issues The fact that that respond that 3 out of 6 of my reviews tells me a lot about why 3 out of your 5 reviews are one star. We have been customers of Cru Day for over a year. The service is awesome, front desk, massage therapists, etc. Very accommodating at appointments.. Massage therapists explain and answer questions if trying a new technique or added feature with massage. The only downside is that I find a great massage therapist and they move on and so I have to find another one. Other than that, it is well worth the money and time. read more

I recently went to Cru Day Spa for their organic facial. The gown they gave me was smelling bad. The sheet had the same smell and had a brown oil stain. The facial was for 1 hr and the lady kept on talking trying to sell their services. The worst part was I told her that I had acne prone skin and she should use product which won't cause acne. After the facial my whole face broke out with acne, I never had such bad acne in years. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Worst experience!!! read more

It has everything going for it: nice location, bright and open reception area, relaxing tranquil waiting area with great tasting spa water, friendly people, and of course excellent massages (Elias is AMAZING)!!! Ok so 1st off I would like to say they actually are pretty good & I did initially like my massage & hospitality I received! But only reason for the 3 stars is because I went in for an hour massage & informed my masseuse where I was hurting. Which was neck & lower back. ALL she did was my neck for 45 minutes!!! That really upset me because I did ask her if she would still be able to massage the rest of my body which was hurting & basically why I bothered with another massage within a week... I left the experience so uncomfortable & was not even close to being satisfied! I wouldn't mind trying the place again but for now after my massage I am in much more pain then when I walked in with. The facial was a intro and it went by so fast (I may have missed that when I initially booked) My esthetician's name was Sydney I believe. She had a very soothing voice and I can't not wait to come and get another facial. My massage therapist name was Kenneth. He was very gentle yet used pressure at the right parts of the body. I didn't even realize my upper back was so tense. He got all of those knots and kinks out! The only thing g that's missing here is space. The seating in the waiting room wasn't relaxing it was cute but wasn't relaxing. In the end I'm sold. I signed up for the Cru Club. Can't wait to see them grow! read more

I enrolled in their VIP or $69 monthly membership and I cancelled because I didn't think it was worth the money I was spending. At their front desk with the receptionist, there's a description of the 3 different membership packages they offer which if you choose the 2 most expensive packages, you are supposed to receive a freebie each month-which I only received the first time I enrolled and never again. Also, when doing a facial, there are limited options and enhancements are 5-10 dollars more. And lastly, when I would change into the wrap towel before the facial-the towels looked old and didn't hold anymore because the strap part was already worn out. I had a massage with Frank. I usually go massage every 2 weeks at Massage Height. This is the first time I been here since it advertise on Groupon and relatively close to my house. The receptionist is very nice and helpful. My appointment was pushed to 20 min late because the therapist have some phone issue, is what they explained to me. Didn't want to make a big deal so I waited. Filled out paperwork like they asked, marked where I want them to concentrate on etc. Time come, Frank come, get me in a room and didn't introduce himself or his name. Ask me when is my appointment??!! I was like supposedly 25 min ago. He then mumbled something about why he is late. Then ask me to undress . I waited for him to leave but he just stand here.. then I have to remind him to leave the room, dim the light. the whole massage was mediocre. I can tell he does not know what he doing and he is lazy with his strength. He keep sitting on a stool and never get up. Everytime he need to move to another part of body, he sit and drag the stool with him. Anyways, I didn't enjoy my massage. He also forgot to do 2 of my extras like body scrub and aromatherapy. Awesome prices but the overall experience was clearly lacking. I've only gotten a handful of massages in my lifetime (more so recently since I've increased the intensity of my workouts) but I could definitely see/feel the difference. The beds were not soft or comfortable, there was no "mood" set in the room, the music kept going on and off, and the walls were paper thin so you could easily hear the noise from next door and outside the hallway. I stopped hoping for my "relaxation time" after the first 20 minutes in. The masseuse was a little rough and not as careful moving around the covers as he should've been. He also kept trying to sell me "extras" to add on during my massage since he said we had so much time to use up. In the end, I would rather pay an extra $10 if it means I could have a more comfortable experience and leave relaxed/satisfied. read more

I was excited to find this place close to my office. So I was happy to book the appointment and they had a spot for me. When I walked in the decor and set up looked very nice. There was no front desk person and when a therapist walked to the front they said I have no clue how to work this so just wait for the front desk person. So I give that one star. Then she ask me to sit in the relaxation room. Which was so small and all the seats were occupied so I stood by the aka waterfall. It was very tight space and small so I went back to the lobby. At that point I was stressed out from the overcrowding but the front desk person says it is better now to go back in and sit on the sofa. Just did not like the closet like space was not relaxing at all. Relaxation room 1 star. I saw this place on group so I got the $39 hr package where they said it is value at $79/hr. But for membership it is $49. Then there was a sign that had suggested tip amounts which was odd to me to. First time ever seeing this at a spa. I have been to hundred in my lifetime around the world so it was a bit tacky. Ok now for the good part the massage. Finally after all uncomfortable feeling Keisha was my therapist and sent me to one of the side rooms. It was clean and nice. The massage beds were very new and comfortable. So cleanliness and massage room 4 stars. Keisha was really nice and asked me what areas to work on and the pressure. She was very good and the massage was nice for my tense and stressed body. She made the knots go away. So Massage was a 5 star. When it was time to leave you can tell this place on a Saturday was a busy place. I think the therapist was hurried and churning people in and out pretty fast. It was like a massage factory. I think I felt stressed for them. This is why I average it to a 3 star experience. I am not sure I will return and here is why: My initial experience walking through the doors was friendly, the gentleman greeted me warmly and from his personality seemed to be happy at his job, one trait that is sometimes hard to find. I was booked for a facial and the facial was just ok. I've never had a facial where my neck area is not included. I had the steam machine on my face twice and while it was going the aesthetician was simply there, sitting. I felt like I was under the steam machine for a total of 20 minutes while she was just there. I paid for one of the sweet enhancements so I assumed this would take us a little over the 1 hour facial, it didn't. The reflexology is the only part of the facial I enjoyed, totally not worth it even though the total should have been $119 but I got a discount as a new customer.
