It is a good place to bring kids to as there is a playground for them to play on. Parks serve as a gathering spot for communities, it is a place where we can interact with our neighbors, a place to celebrate the joy of family and friends. We need parks such as this one, we need places to remind us that it is the simple things that define us as a people and a community. Englewood Park is a great part of this community.

Parking holds about a dozen cars with a small grassy area that can hold several more as I have seen people do for parties. Although there is not a pavilion here, families do have parties here as there are many concrete tables, grills, benches and a lot of play equipment for children. For the big kids, there is enough large grassy area for football or other large group activities. What is nice, is that there is a lot of shade provided by the many large cypress that have obviously been here a long time. A sidewalk winds its way through the park. There is one water fountain, and a dog depot with bags for doggie waste. There is a porta potty, but no free standing bathroom. A nice, large shady park for an afternoon, party, or some football.

That is not necessarily a bad thing, I seen a lot of people bring their dogs here and there's also a bicycle path that looks kind of interesting. There is a decent amount of parking and while it is off the beaten path, I'm sure that is a plus for the neighborhood and the people that choose to come here. The only restroom facilities that I seen on the property was a porta-potty at the parking lot. The park also looks relatively well maintained. All in all, as an overall rating, I will give Lake Druid Park four stars. Well there are certainly bigger parks with more stunning views and more to do, Lake Druid Park does have its own appeal.

We are working on socializing her but have found the other bigger dog parks to be very overwhelming and also very messy. This dog park had the two separate fenced in areas, one specifically for small dogs. It was well grassed and had plenty of space. Even if you don't have dogs, Lake Druid park seemed like a great place to go. There was an adorable community garden, a dirt bike path, and sand volleyball. We will definitely be back!

There was a nice open space and room for multiple vendors and food trucks . They provided porter potties and hand washing stations which was nice. I will definitely be back for pickle festival next year . I also would love to attend other events too at festival park. I parked in the bealls parking plaza near by to avoid having to pay which was great.

The park itself is setup well for events. Plenty of open area for booths. They had clear entry and exit areas and security staff to handle entry. The general line was very long, but the security was professional and did their best to move things along. They had porta-potties and mobile real bathrooms in VIP at this particular event. They also had plenty of trash cans. They did need more accessible water for purchase. It was mostly at just the bar huts and those lines were very long. Not good on a hot day when you aren't allowed to bring in your water bottle. The ground is also pretty uneven in spots, so just need to be mindful of that for people with mobility issues. I would go here again for another festival.

The wetlands were created in 1991 between the Lake Davis and Lake Como neighborhoods as a stormwater treatment facility to handle the water run off. While the main purpose of the park is to clean the reclaimed water, a welcome byproduct of that is that it attracts a lot of wildlife. Wetland parks are some of my favorite kind of parks because they attract a variety of wildlife including wading birds, migrating birds, lizards, turtles, and alligators. At the entrance to the park is a community garden and Little Library. My favorite part of the park is the 0.7-mile loop trail surrounding Lake Greenwood that takes approximately 13 min to complete. This trail is great for hiking and walking. Along the way you will pass cypress trees, cross two bridges, and see a variety of birds enjoying the lake. Animals that have been spotted here include blue jays, ducks, barn owls, and red wing blackbirds. During my visit I saw a Great Blue Heron and a Great Egret along with ducks. The scenery during my walk was stunning. I saw a number of people reading, playing with their kids, and exercising. This is an ideal place to practice your photography, bird, watch, and have a picnic. This is such a wonderful natural resource for the city of Orlando and I loved my visit.
