So before making the call I searched yelp reviews on this company....26 1 star reviews ...and every review was around 4-5 paragraphs long complaining about the horrible customer service and not paying claims.....I will stick with Wawanesa Insurance..now called W Insurance I have been with them for over 20 years with my Home and Auto....They pick up the phone when you call..They are very competent...I had 2 claims on my home and 1 on my auto in those 20 years...they respond very very quick and settle the claim promptly... Sure there are 1 star reviews on this company (can't please everyone) but you can see that they reply to your review. This is a great company they have been in business for 130 years..and sure every year I get a small increase on my policies because the cost to replace my home goes up and so does my car.......have you been to the gas station lately or the super market? But still they are less expensive than most every other insurance company out there.. Btw you may not get auto insurance if you are a crappy driver with accidents and tickets...that's why they can keep their rates fair...I will never switch from Wawanesa..now W insurance. Don't be fooled by the promises of lower rate companies...the real test is if you have to file a claim.......good luck with that.

Absolutely evil. A…read morewater-filled pothole that opened during heavy rain in the Malibu mountains, right in the middle of a one-lane road, is now somehow the driver's fault? No, it's not--unless the insurance company misrepresents what happened by reporting that my husband simply drove his car into a deep hole. I just discovered that my new vehicle insurance is going up almost $200 because of how this incident was reported. My current insurance company told me that if it had been reported as pothole damage, my rate wouldn't be going up. But because of the way Wawanesa reported it, I'm now paying for this and will stay in my records for years. Stay away from both Wawanesa car and home insurance. I hope whoever made the decision to report it this way realizes one day how much their actions can affect people's lives. I hope she has many sleepless nights over it, because if she can sleep well knowing what she did, it only shows how evil she truly is.

As we began moving our policies elsewhere we found several errors including being under-insured, improperly covered and in my opinion general incompetence by their agents. We have finally moved our nearly two dozen business, personal and auto policies to other companies that actually want our business and can properly manage our needs.
