In the middle of the project he informed me that I would need to have a driveway extension done for which he grossly overcharged me according to several concrete experts that came to review the aftermath of his work. Naturally he charged me extra for the extension which was not on our original contract. Presently the extension to the driveway is crumbling away because of how badly it was done. The Slab also failed to meet the specifications outlined in our original contract. Not only is the slab uneven and not level; but it was also short by nearly one foot which makes it unusable for my purposes. Mr. Stanley was given more than 30 days to correct the flaws but he came out a handful of times and did some patchwork repairs and grinding in a poor attempt to level out the slab. In over a month he came for a grand total of about 4 hours. Mr. Howard Stanley made a myriad of excuses for not being able to come and make the necessary repairs. He failed to meet most of the contract and claims now that he has no money to refund me. Mr. Stanley demanded full payment even though the work was obviously not completed. I paid Mr. Stanley in good faith expecting to have a professional slab; unfortunately I ended up with a pile of rubble and some lame apology from Mr. Stanley. I saved for months in order to be able to afford to have this done and Mr. Stanley took advantage of me and did a terrible job. I have been forced to hire a Lawyer in order to make this right. I have made a complaint with the state Board against him. I am bewildered how someone who does such terrible work can stay in business. Reading other reviews I can see that this is a pattern. I would not recommend Elite Concrete or any other company that Howard Stanley hides behind.

After getting quotes from four different companies, Metropolitan Fence stood out immediately. Richy spent time asking detailed questions, whereas other companies just measured and left. Their quote was right in the middle--not the absolute cheapest, which actually gave me peace of mind about the quality. What really set them apart was the installation process. Richy is completely hands-on. Metropolitan Fence doesn't just sell you a project and sub it out; Richy did the upfront measurements and was onsite working alongside his crew every single day. Whenever an installation question came up, he contacted me immediately with options, weighing the pros and cons of each. He is a true professional who genuinely cares about quality and customer service. I have absolutely no hesitation recommending Metropolitan Fence to anyone.

Mark Dolan responded promptly to my inquiry and gave me an estimate within a few days of my initial call. He was friendly and knowledgeable and, since his estimate was reasonable, we hired him for the job and were placed on his schedule within a week or two. His crew arrived on time and worked diligently throughout the day, almost completing the project in one day. They returned the following morning to finish up before lunch. They removed the old fence and took care of the disposal. What they installed was a 5 foot semi-private fence with two gates, one a single entry, the other a double gate for vehicle passage. After completion, the crew cleaned up quite thoroughly. This fence is much better quality than the one that preceded it, a world of difference. We could tell the old fence had been built by a novice, but it became starkly evident after our new fence was finished. The hinges and gate latches are examples of the superior quality and finish of this fence. It has now been two months since the fence was installed, and we still couldn't be any more pleased! Thanks, Mark, for a job well done!

After the initial agreement, Michael disappeared, avoided my calls and emails, and made excuses and straight up lied about things. His brother worked hard but eventually disappeared as well. What disappointed me most was that they use a company name that should come with trustworthy, honest people and work.
