The Crown is one of the loveliest pubs in the area, in fact it's not much like any other pub I've been to, I'm always reminded of visiting my gran's farm when I go there. Open fire, stone floors - it's just cozy. The beer's good too, a selection of real ales with regular guests to keep you interested.
I was really chuffed to see that it had reopened, so had to give it a go. Unfortunately, the food isn't as outstanding as it used to be (change of hands), but it is good, and you no longer need to take out a second mortgage to be able to afford to eat here.
It's slightly off the beaten track, but well worth a visit. read more
