I moved to the area about a year ago and had not been in to get my teeth cleaned since moving here. I was used to going every six months so decided I needed to get in somewhere for routine cleaning. I called them on Tuesday and was surprised to hear they had appointments available the very next day. Some of the other local dentists I had contacted were booking appointments two months out. I arrived on time went through "routine" full mouth x-ray, was moved to a room went through a "routine" full mouth 3-D imaging scan from the dental hygienist. The dentist then came in the room spent about 15 seconds, looking at my photos on the screen never once even looked in my mouth and told me I needed three crowns and a bunch of other dental work. I was then ushered upfront to the business office and was told the total cost for the work I needed to have done was slightly over $7000. I declined and was told that was my only option or I could decline treatment which I did. I was there for over two hours and didn't even get the routine cleaning that I had scheduled an appointment for. I now have an appointment with a highly recommended local dentist about two months out, but I'm happy to wait. This place just really seemed like a total scam to me.

I had went to their office the day before my surgery and spoke with the office manager requesting…read moreto change from the expensive anesthesia where they use the IV and administer drugs to make you relax and sleep. I had said I wanted to change because I did not think my insurance would pay for it. It was about $500. The office manager assured me that insurance should pay for IV. At the cost of approx $500. Low and behold 2 months later, they did not pay it. said that to me at the time because she did not want to have to reschedule the surgery because I wanted the less expensive option. Those surgeries using the other option had to be done on a different day she said. I feel ripped off over this because she assured me my insurance would cover the expense. Now, two months later I find out insurance did not pay a dime of it.

I have to say that I had a great experience with this practice and especially Dr. Travis Kern and…read morehis assistant.....the front desk was efficient and had gotten pre-approval from insurance well in advance of my appointment....Dr. Kern was exceptional.....I especially liked that he told me what he was going to do step-by-step in detail; told me what he was doing while he was doing it ; and told me what he did afterward....this approach gave me great comfort with the whole procedure....the one demerit is that I was sent an email almost the day after asking me to review the practice/doctor....I still had sutures and wasn't completely healed.....what if I posted an immediate positive review only to have complications a couple of days later and ender up in the ER?....the automated system should be reprogrammed to wait a couple of weeks before sending out review requests.....
