At Crow Creek Park for my oldest daughter's cross country meet. This park has every sport you can think of! It is pretty big and parking is plentiful but it gets crowded based on the current events. Great place near central Bettendorf (along Devils Glen Road) to take a leisurely scenic walk. Very spacious, great for kite flying. Nice wide, paved trails as well that surround a former rock quarry. Diverse activities include a cool skate park, several baseball diamonds, very popular floor hockey, swings & slides for the youngsters, and a couple fenced dog parks to run both large and small dogs. Nice picnic area as well! Bettendorf parks are monitored by volunteer Park Ambassadors who help maintain a secure and enjoyable experience. read more

I live over an hour from this wonderful park, but try to get here once a month. Some of its amenities include: Dog park, skate and bike park, cross country trail, recreation trail, adult and youth softball, baseball and soccer fields, playground areas, six picnic shelters, a creek and a "catch and release" fishing pond. (watch your dog's paws for fish hooks on the bank) The main reason I love this park is the dog park which is divided into three sections. One section for "small dogs" and two sections that they rotate use of so the grass doesn't get wore down and too muddy. The land slopes for great water run off, but does get muddy sometimes. A huge plus is they have benches and trees. The two water fountains have water spigots with attached bowls for dog's use. This spring they fenced off a "small dog" section, but patrons still take their little ones into the other sections to socialize them, because they trust the dog owners are watching over their dogs well. There is friendly adult social time with great advice on area dog places, but always with a watchful eye on their dog responsibilities. I feel comfortable taking my dog here. Crow Creek Park is huge and there are lots of things to do, but so far I've only been to the dog park. It's excellent! Other dogs and their owners are almost always present as long as it's not actively precipitating. There are two sides and the city alternates which side open in the interest of preserving the grass and keeping things clean. Both sides are big enough to accommodate the heavy traffic the dog park attracts. Oddly, balls aren't allowed here making it against the rules to play fetch with your dog, though this seems to be a rule many are willing to break. This is about as nice a fenced in dog park as I've ever visited and if you haven't been, I recommend it. Your dog will (probably) love the opportunity for socialization and it's fun to chat with people who also consider their pet family. read more

Dog park is excellent, as are the trails and ball fields. Playground is new and fun - except for the "slide" It's strange and hard for little ones to navigate. But we still have a blast. The skate park section is always busy too. read more

Best park around for kids sports.

I can only review on the Dog Park not the other facilities. I brought my 3 dogs to this dog park I live in the Chicago area and was there on vacation I could not find out to much of the dog park other then it has separate areas. When we arrived we noticed all the dogs in the one section they did not force us to separate the big dogs from the small. Yeah! The people were nice the dogs were friendly, of course you always have that one dog who the parents think the dog is dog friendly but it constantly tries to hump every dog in the park and plays a little to rough and not fixed. I dont know if there is a rule on spayed/neutered dogs but it was not enforced. There are no doggy police around to watch what is going on. There are trash cans and doggy bags at the park to pick up after your dog if you do not bring any. Its on a big hill so your dog will get plenty of exercise if they like to run. I loved it here and wish we had a big one in my area :) I will be back if I ever go to the QC area again. read more

Are you a white person? No? I'm no racist but I can tell you it's probably a good idea to stay clear from this park. Old, shriveled rich white men in suspenders and nipple-high trousers who drive BMWs and Rovers seem to gain an odd sense of physical empowerment when they walk their 80 lb. German shepherds around a park. You are likely to hear wonderful phrases such as, "Hey you punk kids, quit yelling and screaming! I'm the one that's supposed to be yelling and screaming!" Or my personal favorite, "I remember the good old days when this was a sundown town and your kind of people...blah blah blah." You get the gist. Frankly, the only thing that suspenders should be holding up on an 85 year old man is his nutsack, not his confidence. Other than that the skatepark is a waste. Congrats, Bettendorf, you want kids to "be themselves" yet you don't understand where all your white, upper middle class drug addicts are coming from. Why take lives when you can make lives? I say destroy the skate park and build something people of all ages can benefit from like a museum commemorating the most successful and influential business man of all time: Tom Brady. We could call it "Bettendorf's Brady Bonanza." Also, I feel something should be said about a man I saw on the trails who resembled an older Adolf Hitler giving a stack of unknown documents to a man that largely resembled Mike Pence (Trump's sidekick in his quest to take over Gotham). And what's with all the baseball fields? Youth baseball in middle America is similar to the education system is middle America: teaching kids to set their goals too high and thinking that anything can be achieved with hard work and dedication, not your last name and the amount of money you have. Anyway, I saw a hot chick wearing a John Lennon t-shirt smoking a cigarette while walking the trails. That is the kind of America I envision and for that, 4 stars. read more

I really like this dog park. They have a small dog part separate for shy and smaller dogs. This was great for my dogs because they are very shy and are nervous to play with larger dogs. At the small dog park they always have a great time and you start seeing a lot of regular people there. read more
