This place was really nice, the staff was wonderful, the setup was great, the parking was convenient, and the service orchestrated well. Once again, the staff was just top-notch from greating guests at the entrance to orchestrating the service like clockwork, providing water, etc. Now, I don't have any ties to the state of Delaware, so there would be no reason for me to be memorialized at this place when I go, but I did make it clear to a family member that if something happened to me, I would like the service to be held at a similar type funeral home. If you are looking for a funeral home and are considering Spicer-Mullikin, I would not hesitate and I am sorry for your loss.

The older gentleman was rude and belligerent. Because my husband passed away at home suddenly, we did not have a doctor to sign the death certificate, this man said to my son and myself that he was taking the BODY anywhere until we had a doctor sign off on my husband. He kept saying to us DO YOU HEAR ME. We were on the phone with Perry Point to get them to sign the DC which take a wait to get anyone there. He said I am leaving, I said you are going to just leave my husband in the bedroom dead, his reply was have someone come and take him to Baltimore (I guess he was talking about the morgue) and he left my son and I with my dead husband. I called Foard's in Rising Sun they came out right away and handle getting the death certificate signed, they were amazing. I wanted the community to hear just how Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home P.A. treated my son and I at the worst time in our lives. Treated us with told disrespect and rude beyond anything I have ever experienced. Please save yourself from their torcher and do not allow them to do this to your family. If they did this to us, they have done it before and will do again. My son told a few people about our experience and he said they hear similar stories about Patterson.

What a lovely place to remember those who served our country. The cemetery is decorated already for Memorial Day. The flags stretch on for what seems like miles. Very moving.
