Packed with people. Play slow on first nine waiting on every hole. Opened up a bit on the back so slightly better. Greens coated with sand. Location unreasonably noisy near airport and base with planes coming and going. Then continual noise from I-95 traffic. Not a peaceful, serene or beautiful setting. Unfortunately this Savanah / Pooler area has few golf courses. Will not be returning to play Crosswinds. read more

Today's buffet was not good you guys. I can excuse the late opening and the green beans being 10 minutes late to the line due to them being short staffed. My issue is that when I asked why certain buffet items were missing I was told "they were going back to a reduced menu" when I asked if the buffet was still the same price the first time they told me there would be no discount. When I asked the other employee about the missing items I was told "oh they must have ran out very quickly so you didn't get any" this was not the case and I let her know I was one of the first people in line today and those items were not there. She backtracked and admitted to being short staffed so the items weren't out yet. Why did the employees lie and not just admit in the first place they were short staffed? When I asked this new employee for the discount after explaining all this she said sure and rang me up for a 10% discount. This was another issue since I was already receiving a 10% for being an employee of a local business. So basically she gave me the discount I was already owed and I did not actually give me a discount I asked for. read more

The location is convenient, but everything here is showing it's age. Carpet, fixtures, furniture and especially the walls in the bathrooms. Food in the restaurant is delicious and staff is very friendly. read more

Best fairways and greens in the area. Especially this time of year. Best location for anyone traveling via air-travel also. Can get a round in or hit the par-3 course before your flight since it's literally at the entrance of the airport. read more

Greens weren't in great conditions, dirty restrooms at halfway house and the clubhouse grille was not at the turn so took time away from the course to get lunch. Only plus is you could order from the golf cart screen but limited workers is still took 15+ minutes to be given the takeout. read more

Great course, 18-holes and a 9-hole Par-3 perfect for walking. Very reasonable membership prices and the pro-staff are friendly and always willing to help! Grill 19 has great food and the bar staff are very friendly and attentive. I do wish Grill 19 stayed open later on the weekends during season for Happy Hour and dinner. A low key golf club well worth the drive. read more

Wanted a challenge and the namesake did not disappoint. The greens were a little soft due to a previous rain. Tip: Watch the trees before you tee off. Today the golf course was a sponsor for kids golf or Jr. PGA tourny and it was nice to see them on the practice greens working on their fundamentals. Whenever I go to Tybee with friends we try to go to Crosswinds. Staff is always friendly and course is in good condition. They also have a pretty nice par 3. We always have a great time. Beverage cart and grill at the turn have decent choices. I'm a big fan of the cooler with bottled water at one of the holes close to the turn. It's brilliant and goes a long way on hot days. Friendly staff - upon arrival for our tee time they checked us in. On this particular day we felt we only had time for 9 holes so paid for 9. If we wanted to play more was told all we had to do is pay the extra at the turn. The course was nice and in decent shape. Not too long from the white tees. The first tee is behind the clubhouse after crossing a bridge so a little far if you plan on eating at the grill when making the turn. They have a cart girl that comes around and she caught us before finishing the round. Huge fan of the water coolers stationed with individual bottled waters. Helps on that hot Savannah day. This is my second time here and will return for sure. read more

Course was fun to play, however bring your own clubs. I was in the area for business and thought I 'd give this course a go after work as it was very near my hotel. Not crowded and quick play. Staff was attentive and courteous. Fellow players gracious and friendly. I'd give it a 5star rating but the rental clubs I used were the worst I've ever used. The least they could do is put new grips on on the clubs and clean them up. Some challenging holes and lay outs. Tee boxes are beat up but I recommend playing from the blues as they aren't so bad. I would defiantly play this course again. Best thing about the course...no houses anywhere to be seen! Very peaceful. read more

I had high expectations based on previous reviews but was greatly disappointed. We were greeted with a less than friendly staff that seemed to care less about us. They were not friendly or helpful in any way. The course (champion ) has amazing potential but is not cared for at all. Nice layout but very poorly maintained. I doubt that the bunkers had been touched in weeks. The greens were the highlight of the day. I will not be returning. read more

This course is super nice and convenient! Amy and Trey are fantastic! We put together a small tournament while in Savannah for a conference and the logistics were made super simple with the great help of their staff. Enjoyed all our time their and look forward to coming back sometime soon. read more

A beautiful and challenging course. In excellent condition. Range, practice green and practice area. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

In town for The Weekend and was able to get out for a round. Online tee times were easy and the course was a great value for $50. The greens were near perfect - rolling super smooth. Fun course too with a variety of par 3s and 5s. Would definitely come back if I was in town again read more

Nicest course I've played on by far! The grass is well kept and clean, and the scenery is priceless. An extra bonus is the cooler stations with water bottles, rather than the typical jug filled from a hose. read more

This is probably the best public golf course around Pooler. The putting green and chipping area are decent, and you can always get a tee time here. The course is very wide open, and the greens run nicely. The greens are not fast, although they roll pretty true. All in all, it is a decent course that I venture to when I can't get a buddy to get me on somewhere else. read more

It was as if I was planning my wedding with one of my best friends or a family member. She was awesome and she makes you feel like your wedding is the only wedding scheduled at the venue for the year; even though she had a wedding or an event every weekend. She never missed a beat and she never forget about a conversation she had with you. She remembered every detail and I appreciate that. My husband and I couldn't be more thrilled. Nothing like what we expected for all the rave reviews. Definitely would not consider it a top 10 for under $50 in the US. Course was in poor shape. Didn't look mowed and could have used water. They had done some edging on the cart path and just left rolls of dirt and grass. Didn't look like there was a lot of up keep. Would not go back. read more
