My husband and I thoroughly looked into the early education options available in Denton, and we knew we wanted something different that a daycare. The methods of Montessori education are exactly what we believe to have allowed our children to flourish so well in their young ages. These methods are not what one will see in the typical preschool. There is a priority placed on independence and self-sufficiency. Children are allowed to improve in many skills and abilities. It goes above and beyond letters and numbers and sitting in a classroom quietly, but allows a safe environment for children to grow in their daily skills, gain confidence, sustain a natural love of learning, and develop a sincere belonging in community. Countryside Montessori School has always made this possible for our children, and we keep great peace of mind in knowing our children are safely cared for as they explore. Communication is frequent. There is transparency and connectivity for parents. They prioritize each student and the students as a whole. They truly are an extension of our family experience as opposed to something completely separate. It is incredible to see my children suddenly be able to take off their diapers and actually throw them away starting at 1.5 years of age. It is overwhelming to see my son accomplish tasks like cleaning his room, putting away his toys, helping with laundry, because he spills with pride in himself. My 1.5 year old daughter cleans up spills she makes and demonstrates sincere kindness to others. There is also little better than feigning ignorance and allowing my son to proudly show me where his locker is and how to put away his possessions on his own. When I drop off and pick up my son, I am able to witness him put away his possessions, go to a task that suits his interests, but also educates and challenges him. He doesn't need an adult to hold his hand through this process, though many are also readily available should he need help. My son can hold meaningful conversations with adults in ways I have yet to see from most children older than him in my time as a teacher. This school is different from other schools, and I love this about Countryside. This is the purpose of Montessori education. It is the reason my husband and I picked this school. This ownership and pride is the most invaluable thing Countryside Montessori offers to my children. Mrs. Fuess and the faculty here are always positively involved with the kids. I have personally witness a patience and attention with these children that I am amazed at knowing how challenging it can be to work with kids(as a parent I want to study their Jedi ways!). This school may not be what every parents wants. But for those looking for something that can support their children in these ways, they are an incredible resource and school. I know they have great ideas and possibilities for the future of the school as well which I look forward to!

My daughter has been going there since she was just 3 months old and I'm so happy with how they care for her. Everyone seems happy to see her each morning and she smiles the minute she sees her teachers. The school is clean, well-organized, safe, and they plan so many fun activities for the children.

After visiting several schools nearby, we still didn't feel completely confident--until we met Ms. Anjali. From the moment we spoke with her, we were 200% sure this was the right place for our kids. Ms. Syeda is a wonderful teacher--our 2-year-old daughter felt comfortable with her from day one. Ms. Shabana is equally amazing and brings a wealth of experience to the classroom. We are constantly amazed by the new things our children are learning every day!

From classroom teachers to specials teachers to front office and everyone in between, you won't find a kinder, more supportive place. I have to give a special shout-out to Ms. Menon, one of the finest educators I've had the privilege to know. She has high expectations for students, supports them tirelessly through the learning process, and helps every single one achieve wonderful things. We can't thank her enough. And in case you're worried about kids making the transition to traditional schooling once they leave Montessori, don't. Our little one transitioned to public kindergarten seamlessly and it looks like our younger one will too.

So caring, kind and invested in our daughter and her well being. I can't say enough about the two guides in her classroom as well and how nurturing they are and dedicated to her development. I couldn't trust them more! We get regular updates via the story park app on her progress and they are quick to respond if I ever reach out with a question. We are so impressed with her development over the past 3 months. Her vocabulary has skyrocketed as well as her independence at home. The school has so many events parents can participate in and really feel a part of the Montessori journey alongside the student. We immediately felt welcomed and a part of this amazing Starwood Community!

It's a second home for him, where the adults are warm but highly professional and reliable. My son has learned how to care for his environment, for his peers, he's learned how to bake, set a table, share a meal. The faculty is communicative and our son feels so loved by not just his peers and teacher, but everyone there. The school events are always enjoyable and educational. The campus is beautiful and adheres to Montessori above and beyond the 4 other Montessori schools in the area I toured, interviewed, and considered. We trust Starwood wholeheartedly with our son's safety, well-being and education because after 4 years, we absolutely know we can.
