Prices are comparable to other grocery stores in the area and at our Home city of Louisville, Kentucky. Something very nice about this grocery store is that staff members always offer to transport your groceries to your car and load it into the vehicle for you. This is such a nice touch and very much appreciated. We have always had excellent service at this grocery store.

Meijer has a large selection of pretty much anything you might want at competitive prices in line with other grocery stores. We still travel a few times a year and saw the sign for this Meijer location on our way through Owensboro while heading up North to visit my wife's family. It is one of our regular stops to stock up on non-perishable items on the way home, and we still find it to be a great place to shop. They have a large fresh produce section with quality items, and the meat and seafood departments are big and good. We try to pack a cooler with us to pick items up on the way home when it is functional to do so. My wife loves to browse the health and beauty section, but she never fails to find ladies' clothing items on clearance or special and picks up new items on virtually every visit we make. But, the best aspect of shopping at Meijer is the helpfulness and friendliness of the staff. On our last visit, we used the self-checkout lanes, and I was having difficulty using my MPerks card. I hit the button for assistance, and the lady who arrived to help took full ownership of the problem. While I told her it was not a problem and probably a temporary glitch she called two other staff members to help find a resolution for us and make it right. That is service that is above and beyond any other store we visit. Our only problem with Meijer is that they do not have a store in Dawsonville, GA, or anywhere closer to us than Bowling Green, KY. If for no other reason, we continue to patronize Meijer due to their wonderful customer service and their great staff.

Yay! This store is…read morehuge and has a giant parking lot. They have pretty much every department (garden center, cell phone services, tire & lube, etc.). They also have a grocery section, well-stocked enough to compete with any supermarket. I like the speedy self-checkout and the benches placed randomly throughout the store to rest your feet (or wait for any shopping companions to browse at their leisure). The staff is pretty friendly and the store itself is well-kept and clean.

I spoke to 10 associates this morning and only 1 spoke back. The older associates are the worst which I found oddly unusual. Had a terrific grocery pickup experience at this Walmart last week. I had a huge order for a week…read moreof house-sitting nearby and my car was loaded with personal belongings, my dog and I! I popped the liftgate in back and hopped out when I saw the person coming over. He was able to get all the bags in the open space, neatly, and even set aside my bread and eggs to put up front with me. Every piece of food was nicely chosen, properly wrapped and bagged. He was polite and quick. Great job, WAL-MART pickup!

Eh... I was working…read morefor a few weeks at the Cannelton Dam and this was the closest place to pick up food for lunch. They have a deli but they don't have rolls. My friend tried to order turkey and provolone and the lady responded, "Provolone? We don't gots no fancy cheese. This is America. We gots American cheese." Now if that's not disgustingly hillbilly-ish, I don't know what is. It's silly too, because they have pre-sliced packaged provolone cheese in the dairy case. They charge you for your sandwich based on the weight of the meat so it'll be different every time. Also, my other friend asked how much each deli meat was per pound and the lady responded, "I don't know," in a really nasty way, as if that was the stupidest question a person could ask. Classy, right? The prices of everything else (chips, pickles, candy) is decent. You can also fill up on gas here and get cigars, cigarettes, and the like. It's convenient, but I think I'm just a bit too snobby for this place.
