Unfortunately we have had three family members over the years that required hospice care and each time Crossroads took care of them. We couldn't have been happier with the quality of care and compassionate team. Recently, they cared for my brother during his final days and made a difficult situation easier. They were professional, proactive, responsive and caring. We had a positive experience with everyone - their administrators, nurses and aides. I especially want to call out the wonderful care that Gabby and Tiffany - our night aides - provided to our brother at Louisville Gardens. They partnered with the nursing home staff there and gave us peace of mind our brother would be looked after well. read more

I wish I had time to do my research about this place. I would have never guessed they were this bad. They did not come when they said. I waited hours for them to show up. Never did..not even a phone call. I only met 1 weekend nurse and my brother passed away 2 and a half weeks after diagnosis. Hardly ever received a phone call back. My brother was not supposed to be alone when he passed. I was promise round the clock care. He was seen a few hours before he passed and they left him alone. I didn't even receive a phone call ..that I asked for...so I could be with him as he passed. I vant even put onto words how upset I am. read more

Do Not use this agency. The nurse my 95 yr old mom had was deplorable!!! I thought hospice staff was suppose to be caring empathetic people who dealt with the needs of the patient and family. The nurse called me and told me that I use my moms call light when my mom doesn't even it... When the nurse came on the day of my moms transfer to a new facility she said i had the call-light on and my mom didn't have to use the restroom. And, she's a nurse for hospice!! I told her if my mom tells me she has to use the restroom, Guess what! I'm pressing the call light. And, she's suppose to be a advocate for the patients and families. What a joke so I terminated them. I hope one day she's in hospice and needs to go to the restroom and no-one comes to her assistance. read more

these people suck. they are liars. we called in advance about this and they confirmed they will treat non terminal patients, but that's a lie. they advertise hospice and palliative care but turn down a fully disabled girl and say they can't treat her because she doesn't have a terminal diagnosis... a terminal diagnosis is hospice and not palliative care. you guys are a fucking disgrace. how do you sleep at night? we will not pay you and i personally will spread the word far and wide about your sham money grabbing bullshit. read more

Horrible! Horrible! They were to provide care for my brother as he was dying from prostate cancer. We ended up in the hospital where we finally just fired this company for lack of care and was able to get him care through the hosiptal's hospice. I witnessed 60 hours of agony and pain that my brother endured before he passed away. HORRIBLE! read more

This is such an amazing company, they truly cared so much for my grandma, and our family. Kyra is one of the best humans I have ever meet in my life, she worked a 12 hour shift, at the end of her shift is when my grandma started the dying process and she stay with us the whole time. She hugged and comforted us in our most vulnerable time. She is truly just an amazing person, and the thought of doing that without her is horrific. Keep it up girl, you left an impression on my family that will last forever. read more

I wish I never would've called them that night a nurse came at midnight. I was concerned because I had just gave my mom a breathing treatment and I heard congestion or rattling in her chest. A different nurse came out that I had never met before. She told me she was dying she insisted she go to bed and doubled her medication's she didn't give me a chance to call my brother and sister to be with me My mom wanted to sit in her chair did not want to go to bed but she insisted she go to bed and take the medication's. This nurse should've allowed me to call my family to be with me instead she was gone by 1 AM left me to deal with my mom and told me to get some sleep how do you get some sleep when your mom is dying!!! My daughter who is a hospice nurse in PA helped me over the phone I had to clean my mom's mouth out she had a fever and I had to put suppository up her but I was not trained didn't know what I was doing. I am traumatized by what I have experienced they should never have left me if she was dying and they should've allowed my brother and sister to be with me instead of rushing her to bed all they wanted to do was medicate her and put her to sleep. She passed away at 10:43 the next morning and we never had a chance to tell her we loved her one last time becuz they rushed her death. read more

The nurses that came to our house to care for my dad were nothing short of amazing. Amber and Rebecca were both very compassionate (as we're all the nurses), knowledgeable, and caring. However, we were told we would hear from a case manager with 2 days of Dad signing up with hospice. He was on hospice for about 3 weeks and we never did hear from a case manager. We also couldn't get the proper drain bag for his peg tube. They tried to get it but couldn't find the proper one. We also were told a social worker would be trying to arrange our "gift of a day" and we never received any phone calls regarding that. I understand that some families may want it to be this way, but them calling us only 3 hours after the funeral home took Dad's body to come and get there equipment was way too soon for us. It was like there equipment was so vital to them that they had to get it now before Dad's body was even cold. read more

I do not recommend this place to anyone. This place is a joke. I got told that the only way he could come home from a nursing home was to put him on Palliative care. Which made no since when he dont take pain meds. All they talk about is how bad off he was and absolutely just down right negative about someone showing improvements. Next thing i know they are telling me they put him on pain meds. Their goal is to get as many people they can on there program and then tell the family how bad they are and next thing you know they have them on pain meds. I got my love one away from these people. The doctors that he sees says there was no reason for him to be on pain medication when he is not complaining of any pain. They was also calling his oncologist telling them that he no longer wanted treatment. We went to his appointment and the doctor said that someone had called them and told them he no longer wanted treatment. The doctor said that his treatment was doing what is is supposed to be doing and recommended staying on it. They have no business interfering in peoples care. Its all about money. Stay away from this place unless you just want to give up on your loved ones. read more

My husband and I can't say enough good things about the staff at Crossroads in Green, Ohio. They cared for our 95 y/o father for a little over 6 months. From the routine care each week to the middle of the night and weekend care due to emergent medical issues/falls, they were no more than a phone call away, They were concerned not only for our dad's comfort but also our needs for both physical and emotional support. In the final 24 hours, the staff were on-site to handle everything from the medication management to calls to facilitate his comfortable death and transition to the funeral home. Having talked with friends who have used other hospice services in our area, I can honestly say that the staff here truly went the extra mile, even coming to the visitation at the funeral home. read more

Not even sure where to begin.It was our family's understanding that after we received a diagnosis for our loved one that keeping them comfortable was our main goal and this place agreed with us.Apparently these people are Gods or at least have a God Complex because I never noticed them take any additional means of care to keep them comfortable.Everything was on THEIR terms and when medicine was prescribed we continuously had to make several phone calls to get it and again they acted like Gods in that manner making a DYING person wait.Not to mention the fact we never received the "gift for a day" even though we went through the process to get it and were told they would make it happen.Nurses are know it alls and extremely pushy and you can apply that double to the social workers and chaplains.Now that our loved one has passed they offer bereavement for a year.I think I may need grief counseling for the rest of my life( but not from Crossroads) due to what I had to watch from this business.They pretend to get to know you and care but all I felt was confusion that Medicare paid for this service and they were not what they advertised to be. read more
