Now, the mall is a skeleton of its former self with a few large stores and restaurants (Von Maur, Yonkers, Hu Hot & Old Chicago) holding up an empty carcass where a variety of interesting stores used to be. The final nail in the coffin was when Scheel's left for greener pastures. The mall went through a renovation a few years back where they replaced the dated looking tile with more modern aesthetics. I find some great deals on clearance (bought 97 cent clearance boxers for my 11 year old today). I recommend trying on clothes before leaving the store because I find they typically run small. Like most stores they lack staff so you get very little interaction while shopping. But I'm not typically one to need help. Just noting that during my visit tonight no one offered any greeting or assistance while I shopped with my boys. The associate at the register was very friendly and efficient. (Plain black pants, plain jeans, plain white bins, etc.) Store has purses, men's, children's, women's, plus clothing. Blankets and rugs. Bedding. Bathroom decor. Wall decor. Children's toys. Workout gear. Fragrances. Furniture including chairs/ottomans. Laundry room supplies. Lots of one-copy items - especially in the decor section. TJ Maxx tends to have a couple copies of each home decor item, but here at Ross, it's mostly a single-copy item in both the clothing and the decor sections. Everything was a nightmare of mess when I came, though. I'm not holding it against them as their parking lot was full and I'm sure they're still dealing with the novelty of being new. Noticeably long line waiting to check-out. Again, possibly due to the grand opening. Walked by a lot of staff and was never greeted. Again, possibly staff is just stressed with the extra-busy days. All of a sudden 2x is in the big and y'all section of the racks? And you have about 10 shirts to pick from. Also the selection of xl is slim and has a bunch of junk clothes to offer here.
