The food here is really good. If you like actual spicy food, this is the place for you. Try the goat biryani or spicy and amazing. We also really enjoy their other dishes, I don't think I've had anything I didn't like here. The restaurant itself is small and kind of a hole in the wall, but it's clean and the staff were nice. They serve on disposable dishes, but I don't think that's a big deal. The one thing that keeps them from getting a five star rating is that they don't have naan, at least when you order on DoorDash. A must visit if you are in the area. Not only was the food incredibly cheap for the generous serving sizes, but it truly is delicious as well. We were greeted by a kind, helpful man with a moustache who sat us, gave us menus, recommendations and explained the ordering process. He continuously got us refills of water, despite it being a self service water station, was attentive and caring throughout the meal, and overall showed fantastic hospitality through the meal. The food was delicious. As someone who eats at Indian restaurants frequently I was delighted to have an authentic meal and experience. The spice level was perfect (medium spice) and the chicken was tender. The butter chicken was superb, tender, juicy, spicy, and incredibly flavorful. The Mango Lassi is head to head with the best I've had, cold, heavy on the mango flavor, and a perfect pairing with the meal, especially during the hot weather. The restaurant itself was clean, had indoor seating, and an incredibly kind and peaceful ambience with Telugu music to set the perfect vibe. Overall I would say this is one of the best small restaurants one could visit while in the area. Mid. That about sums it up. I had a hankering for Indian food while working on base earlier today, so I put in a timed order at Crossroads for 11:45 this morning. I was delayed slightly getting out the door and left at 11:55. When I arrived, my order still wasn't ready, and I ended up waiting until around 12:15. The restaurant was fairly busy, so I gave them the benefit of the doubt and took my curry in good faith. My chicken tikka masala? All heat, little flavor. And, where nearly every other Indian place around us has customizable spice levels, Crossroads did not. I was also a bit shocked to see a giant chunk of green pepper in my sauce, which left a kind of raw pepper flavor in the food. My rice was fine, but the bread was a real disappointment. Thin, greasy, and genuinely underwhelming, the roti was literally the opposite of what I love about Indian bread. My serving size was big enough for me to have leftovers tomorrow, but after thinking it over, I went ahead and tossed them. It just wasn't worth it. With so many other fantastic Indian places around Dayton, I just don't see a reason to go to Crossroads. Hit up Jeet/Amar, Maharajah, or Gulzar's instead. read more

A local owned business run by a Indian family. The hospitality and service was good. The place had decent tables. It's a bit far away from the town but it's worth the drive. All the dishes were excellent and reminded me of home a lot. Their Cut Mirchi was amazing. Spicy, hot and flavorful. I would go here every time I crave for it. Take out | Dinner | $10-20 Dark, dingy, doesn't follow instructions that I needed " no spice" due to medical condition that makes spicy food and I not to get along. Lady at counter assured it would be " no spice." After 20 promised minutes turned into an hour, she said "5 more mins please as this is a special request". I told her rice takes 20 mins to cook and chicken about the same so it would be 40 mins max. I then told her 5 mins or I'm getting a refund. Discovered when I got home that the chicken was beyond jalapeño with seeds hot. They left in the hot spices ( black strings) and covered it up. They don't honor requests and they make excuses. Mirror in dinning room wasn' t clean and health inspectors need to make a surprise visit based on what I saw in the kitchen from the open side window. Smells like sewer, but location makes a great police hideout for those distracted while at the light. Avoid if you want to save your taste buds and not get sick. read more

We recently ordered food from Biryani & Grill in Fairborn. A little background- I love Indian, Nepalese and middle eastern food and have ate it in varying regions. So to see Indian available in Ohio both makes me cautious and excited. Overall we were impressed!! The food was tasty and cooked well. Lots of fresh ingredients and the spice levels were correct for what we ordered. Be careful though if you can't handle spice start mild and work your way up. This spice is different than mexican food or hot wings. It can affect people differently. The staff were kind and joyful as well as offered a military discount. The rice was perfectly cooked and the appetizer was spot on. Our mains were butter chicken and chicken tikka marsla and tasted really good with plenty of chicken in the sauce They didnt have papadums and their garlic Naan tasted like it might of been store bought but had takeout so not sure if that affected the texture being wrapped in foil for the drive home. If we were in overseas we'd call it a good village curry. We will eat there again and hopefully dine-in next time. read more

Hubby and I stopped at Crossroads Biryani and Grill one weekday afternoon after work. We were able to order easily Chipotle style, building our individual Bowls with different meats, vegetables, and sauces. The food was good, although it left few options for me for sauces without dairy due to the yogurt in everything. I also tried really hard to get a bowl that wasn't spicy, and I failed. I know I have restrictions, though, and hubby enjoyed it a lot more than I did. I would recommend Crossroads but not for someone with dairy issues and not for someone who doesn't enjoy the spicy. Also, after purchase, service is almost nonexistent. Then, as the afternoon turned to evening, they got really busy, and it was hard to even move around in the small restaurant to leave. This was hands down the best food I have had during my two week trip in Ohio. The food was super flavorful and rich. I personally love spicy food and ordered the spiciest version of the dish they had and they certainly delivered. Not to mention the hosts were exceedingly graceful and generous. Now occupying the site where Crossroads BBQ used to sit, this tiny place is the newest jewel in the Fairborn area's cuisine crown. Do you like Indian food? Do you like reasonable prices, polite service, and good options for takeout? Then you really need to stop by. A friend and I visited for dinner and had no competition for the tables in the small dining room. We ordered a biryani, butter chicken, samosas, naan, and one soda (there's no fountain here; soda will come in cans) and all that food rang up under $16. The portions were generous! They leave to-go containers at the plastic flatware station for a good reason. My butter chicken was velvety and delicious, the chicken chunks perfectly tender. The rice was flavorful and just the right texture. The samosas were weighty, served with two tasty dipping sauces, and the garlic naan smelled a-maaaaazing. Getting in and out of the parking lot can be tricky. Do it slowly to avoid damage to your car! It's well worth some care though to get tasty food like this. read more

The only reason they get a 1 star is because the food is decent. But as a business, they are the worst. They have no idea how to keep customers. They have no consistency. It's clear they are just a family business they have no relationship/ business skills and are quite new at this. The food is descent but the quantity- not enough for even 1 person. And charge at will whatever they please only because they are fairly new and there is nothing decent in Dayton Although, there have been several mishaps over the course of my visits, the mishaps keep getting worst and more frequent. I'd much drive to West Chester / Mason area for better quality, customer service, better food and larger quantity, After ordering 2 small entrees and 1 pitiful appetizer for $60 and finished paying, I asked for some chutneys which I was told was in the bag and I should've gotten with my appetizer anyway. It's a ready to make chapati, which you they will get 20 or 30 pack from any India grocery store. When I am paying a $1 for a single chapati, I expect it to be good. Unfortunately, they did not have naan, which was a huge bummer. BUT the food made up for it!! I love spicy and asked for my dish to be Spicy (one down from extra spicy). Wish I would have asked for extra spicy. The flavors and spices used were wonderful and unique. The chicken vindaloo sauce was absolutely delectable! One criticism... Just had lunch and it was AMAZING! Found myself going "mmmm" with every bite. I had the Hyd Chicken Dum Biryani (mild) and my son had Butter Chicken Masala (medium). It was my first time trying a Biryani and I will have it again for sure! I had a generous serving of flavorful rice with bone in chicken that was to die for! It was served with 2 cups of sauce, a hot red sauce and a yogurt sauce. I came home with enough leftovers for dinner. My son always gets the Butter Chicken Masala and raves over the flavor and sauce (never any leftovers). The staff was very friendly and helpful. It is a small, cozy place and they serve in takeout style containers but have self service paper plates and plastic utensils. We also got their Chapati and Malabar Parata. The breads looked very similar and were both delicious, though different (Chapati was flatter and crisper, the Parata was layered and luscious). We will be back! read more
