Energy Performance Assessors are in great demand at the moment. The law has just changed so that all rental properties and all properties on the market for sale must have an Energy Performance Certificate. The assessment itself is a tick box exercise and the people who do these are not qualified chartered surveyors (although they could be). The EPC was completed on time and met all the legal requirements. I was invoiced via the estate agent I was using and I suspect that they added a percentage on for their overheads.
