To start, the employees are very friendly and helpful. They are very gimmicky with their sales and…read more"this is only good for today and the price goes up" type things- but I guess that's to be expected. I frequently use this Hotworx location as it's closer to me, and with small kids I have to go at the last minute. If I have time to plan ahead- GO TO THE ONE ON 144 & CENTER. South 168th is just entirely too busy and the clientele (not all, but a lot) leave something to be desired. At this location, people will just jump in mid session even if they aren't signed up. As someone with severe social anxiety, I actively seek out sessions that I can be alone in. I've also witnessed more often than not people not wiping down their equipment after use, which is GROSS. There are a lot of "higher class" people I would imagine that go here, being on a golf course. However, they being in that entitlement that goes with that. They're more important and can do what they want. Guess what? I'm paying the same price for the membership, so I have just as many rights to comfort as you do. Anyway, I've been here since the beginning of Summer. I'll be cancelling soon, unfortunately. I really enjoy it as a concept I just had another option outside of this one that wasn't a 15 minute drive. The 144th one is great. Bigger lockers that actually fit your yoga mat, updated equipment, I've NEVER had anyone jump in on my session there, and it's quieter and you're able to get in at your desired times.

I have been a member at Khrusos for several years now (with a significant gap during and after…read moreCOVID, sadly), and I just can't recommend the place enough. It's more than a gym. It's a community . . . a family, if you don't mind me getting a little cheesy about it. The heart and soul of the place is Travis, the owner, but the other coaches are all fantastic, too. Crossfit, in general, might get a bit of a bad or even cultish rep, but that's not how it is here. The workouts ARE hard, but the vibe is 1,000% supportive and encouraging. There are ALL levels of fitness here, from Spartan racer, elite athlete types to the over 50, "what the hell happened to my body?!" types (I fall comfortably into the latter category). Scaling of the workouts is always encouraged to tailor the work you your specific level of fitness and the variety of workouts ensures that it is NEVER, ever, ever boring. Bottom line: If you're looking for a home and a place to start, restart, continue, or supplement your fitness journey, you simply can't go wrong here. You won't find better people or a better environment anywhere.

They take time to address areas of improvement and provide positive feedback when you succeed. Best of all, is the comforting and welcoming nature of everyone who goes to this gym. Upon walking in the first time, everyone introduces themselves and asks a little about you to get to know you better. This is very much a family more so than a gym.

This is the third HotWorx that I've worked out at and the second I've been a member at. I was…read morefortunate enough to become a member here before they officially opened so I became a founding member. I joined when I lived a little bit closer but stayed a member because I enjoy the convenience of being able to schedule a workout when it fits my schedule and determine what type of workout I'd like to do that day. When I first signed up here I only had a few of the workout pieces that they offer for certain classes. I was encouraged by the associate that I spoke with and set up my membership with to try HotBands and HotBuns together. She shared that she gained the most muscle doing those classes consistently. I obliged and continue to push myself even today in those classes together. I do feel stronger by pairing those classes. I also enjoy HotStretch, a newer class that is more of an active stretch class and helps me to feel much more flexible. I also workout at home and at another gym so having the option to come here to sweat it out a little more and to have designated time just for stretching has helped me with my mobility and daily life. This location has ample parking, ample bright lights when you happen to come here when it's dark. There are some great snack and restaurant businesses around as well. If you haven't tried a HotWorx workout it might be a good idea to check it out. One of the things I enjoy about the ISO workouts is that you get a seated meditation portion at the very end before finishing the class. It makes me feel centered and ready to take on the rest of the day! Another great thing about HotWorx is that they have an FX zone of free weights, TRX straps, battle ropes, a workout bench, kettle bells, and bars to do dips. So essentially, you can get full body workouts in their saunas, rowing, cycling, elliptical, ISO workouts, and free weights all in one place! This particular gym gives me a peacefulness I was unable to find elsewhere and that's one of the biggest reasons it keeps me coming back for more.
