I reached out again to the surrounding crossfits to see what pricing is like now--as things are constantly changing with the pandemic --to see if it is something we now can afford. As young new parents we have to be extra careful with our spending and weigh all our choices. I am not sure what type of business they run where they think it is acceptable to mess with people by saying the price is $300 dollars more than it is. It seems to me they either are extremely unprofessional or were trying to extort money out of a new customer. I did CrossFit for many years when l was training and still an elite athlete before an injury took the option of CrossFit away from me. I was very excited when I learned of your gym in the area because I have always wanted my husband to get into it. I understand it is important for him to come in, see the facilities, and learn more about CrossFit other than what I have told him. I also have no doubt as a former division one athlete and cross-trainer that he would safely pick up CrossFit and enjoy it just as much as I did. But if the cost was too much for us, there would be no point in him coming to see the facilities in the first place. It was disheartening receiving their inappropriate messages that have turned us off of your gym. Do not use this gym--as they will try to extort up to $600 extra a month from you!

Long version - Please continue reading: First of all, this is my second time trying CrossFit (2018) after being really inspired by one of my girlfriend's facebook story/posts. She's amazing!!! I stayed away from CrossFit because I didn't think it was a good match for me. I decided to give it another shot after speaking to her. Cleanliness: I'm a clean freak. I'm neurotic. I know, I'm crazy but hey! It's the pandemic. This gym is super clean and their bathroom is super clean (yes, I checked and I approve of how clean it is). There are a few lockers in there which I haven't used. I just put my stuff against the wall and wait for the fun class to begin. After the equipments are used, each members wipe it down with Saniwipes (yes, I checked this as well). All the barbells, dumbbells, kettlebells, jump rope, rowing machine, bike, etc EVERYTHING is cleaned after use! I love it! Staff: I've only took classes lead by these Coaches: James, Mike, Jesse. This review is based off of them. I always ask questions. Sometimes, questions bother people and they get annoyed. These three coaches are amazing! They're super friendly and was answering all of the questions that I have. They're super friendly and very motivating. Any injuries you may have, please speak to them! They were able to modify certain workouts for me and really paid attention to my form (along with the others). You could see the passion in them when they speak about the workouts. They explain every workout, movement, and form. They go over this before it starts. Class: You will sweat. Your hearts going to pound. HARD! Your heart's going to feel like it's about to pop out of your mouth. Okay, okay..That's IF you're unhealthy like me and it's been years since you've worked out. Everyone works out really hard and are super motivational! You will be sore for the next 3 days! After 3 classes, I felt healthier, had more stamina, was able to shovel snow without a problem (no, really...). I seriously had WAYYYYY more energy than expected and of course, I was in good spirits! Exercise really makes a difference in your mood and I will proudly say Peak180 is now my new happy place! Oh! I need to mention... they have whiteboards! So if you have a lot on your mind like me, grab one. Write down what you need to do. It'll make your life easier when your brain decides to sleep as you tear your muscle fibers. Members: A bunch of amazing people! They're welcoming, friendly, and a bunch of beasts! Watching them work out as I did really kept me going. I didn't want to give up even though my body felt like jello. Parking: There's PLENTY of parking in the back. Work out, grab some coffee at Mongo's afterwards (if they're still open) Location: Enter the lot, drive all the way to the back, make a left and you'll see this wonderful place! Love this place. Today is my 1 year anniversary at Invasion…read moreand the transformation is significant. I am not a body builder by any mean. I was unable to do a single pull-up when I started. Today I can do 10 (on a good day :) ), but I did absolutely got in so much better shape. The coaches are great, very personable, knowledgeable and helpful. the classes are not too big and are always different (which makes it so much more interesting than a gym). I was terrified to start, but once you get over it and go for it, you will be glad you did, I know I am... They will scale it for you depending on your abilities. I still don't work on the max recommended weight, but who cares? I got so much better and I work with the coaches to match the perfect weight and workouts for me. Think about it this way, you come for an hour, work out like crazy and you leave. one hour, no more... which I think is the best. They have classes all day, until late at night, which differentiates them from all the other cross fits in the area and was why I started at Invasion and not the other places. Only later I understood how great the coaches and the place is. Oh, and they teach you how to eat better, which contributes to your workout abilities and your weight. The only "bad" thing is, I have to spend all this money on new clothes because of all the weight I lost... Try it, it will change the way you think about working out...

He has been coaching long before crossfit existed. His experience is way beyond something you can get in a weekend level 1 certification. In my time there I have come a long way from being very uncoordinated and out of shape to a decent athlete. Chris and all the coaches are still teaching me everyday. And the members are also amazing people. You can always find someone your skill level to workout with.

So the next day I shambled into Bastion School of Fitness. Upon first entering I noticed the equipment and facility itself was very clean and looked exceptionally well kept. There was a class going on in one corner of the building that looked especially intense. I was excited to start my fitness journey here. I walked to the front desk and was greeted by a friendly face who helped me through the details of packages, and signed me up for an introductory private lesson with the head coach. A 1 on 1 session to gauge my physical ability and to set a goal for myself. I was thrilled. I had my private session with James Carino. At first he seemed like a nice guy but something felt off, I just wasn't sure exactly what. He took me to a room in the back that he said was designated for "special clients". We would start with squats to get the blood flowing. He would walk around me gazing up and down my body, especially focused on my "gluteus maximus". At first I thought he was examining my form. Then I thought maybe he was judging my body, which I would understand being a 290lb man. But no, this was a different look, it was a look of longing. He then placed his hands upon my hips and approached me from behind whispering "lets get deeper" as he guided me towards the floor. The rest of that night was blur of passion, but the next day my glutes were pretty sore, so overall good workout.

I took…read moreone month membership, for myself and my sons. and I told Tom that I will see for a month and if I can continue I will let you know. at the time of signing he assured me that they don't have any hidden fees or cancellation charges, there is no contract I can stop any time. he made me sign a form saying that is only for credit card payment. My membership expires 12/11/2021 and I informed him that I cannot afford it and I won't continue, he replies saying that you have to give a 30 days notice and you will be charged for the next month . when I told him that this is what we discussed and agreed he sent me a copy of that form saying this is the contract you signed and it says here that you need to give 30 days notice, I told him you made me sign that assuring me it's only for the credit card payment and I already told you that I will see for a month. He still charged my card, he is not a man of his words. we never even got the 30 minutes free session coz he was always busy and I had told him that you let me know when you're available so all 3 of us will do the session together so you don't have to remove time separately for each one of us, he never bothered to advise. and then he pulls this trick. I am very disappointed and suggest you take everything in writing from this man as he is not a man of his words.

It's always clean, someone is always willing to help and as someone that was intimidated by the gym culture, that was a pleasant surprise. It's very deceiving in size by looking at it from the outside. It's actually very big! Two levels and I also enjoy the recovery room with sauna and massage chair.
