I certainly do much better with that kind of crew pushing me forward rather than going it alone. After going a few years I was even persuaded to train to do their rowing half marathon--a milestone experience for me! Classes are no larger than eight people most days, and each person gets to work at a built-up mat with a tower. So the first 30 minutes of class are traditional mat followed by some work with bands, bars, etc. It's a great 45-minute workout, and she is incredibly focused and fun at the same time. Robin was certified through the authentic Joseph Pilates group in New York, so she's the real deal. I've been with her for about a year and have been impressed with the body changes.

All the people there are super nice and easygoing, and I feel like I get better every week. The program has grown a lot since I started there, and it seems like there are new people coming in to train all the time. If you've always wanted to do MMA, this is a good place to start, even if you don't plan on fighting any time soon. Flipz is a gymnastics academy located in Columbia, Mo. I believe they offer professional and…read morerecreational gymnastic training, as well as local gymnastics meets. However, we have only been to Flipz for birthday parties, YAY! It's a great little place to have a birthday party! We even hosted my daughter's birthday party here. They offer 1 1/2 hour long parties, for 10 children, for $108 and $50 non-refundable deposit. I believe this deposit can go towards your party cost, but I can't remember for sure. The parties are 1 hour on the floor and 30 minutes in the party room. The floor includes rock climbing, a rope swing, and obstacle course, a 40 ft long trampoline, the foam pit, and balance beems. The usually have one to two staff members on hand to "supervise" the children or help if they need it. The party room isn't really a room, it's an open space, divided into two "areas" above the gymnastics floor. They have two banquet tables per "area" with enough chairs for 10-12 people. They have bleachers behind the tables for additional seating. The plus is you can bring in any food you want: pizza, sandwiches, cake, homemade, or whatever floats your boat, really. It's a rather large facility located on the north side of Columbia, towards Lake of the Woods area and their parking lot is pretty small. The facility is clean and the staff is friendly. If you are looking for an alternate option for a child's birthday party, this is a nice choice to have available.
