The classes I have taken (both in person and online) are right up there with the big, well known studios like Barry's BC, Orange Theory and Equinox. Of course, every instructor and every gym have their own style, but these instructors always set you up for a killer workout, you just have to put in the work. What sets Reck above the rest is the ownership. Find a gym where the owners know every member and take the time to personally respond to any inquiry or question within a few hours. These days, with so many options out there, quality and service is imperative. I can assure you, you will find both here!

Yoga Sakti is much more than a yoga studio--it's a school for learning and deepening your practice…read more Whether you're a beginner or an experienced yogi, you'll leave every class with a greater understanding of both your body and the asanas. I've been practicing yoga for over 23 years and have visited many studios along the East Coast. Without question, Yoga Sakti is the place where I've learned the most. The depth of knowledge, quality of instruction, and focus on education make it a truly exceptional place to practice and grow.

What really works for me is the wide range of class times, that work nicely with my work schedule and on weekends. Besides the workouts being on point, I've never belonged to a gym before where the instructors so genuinely care about their clients. I look forward to spending my mornings there and you feel so good when you leave after a class. After only a few sessions I boosted my subscription to the unlimited monthly. Ignore the previous reviewer who complained about needing to come early for the first session. It's stated explicitly several times when you register for your first (free!) class that you need to arrive early. They need to orient you to the space, the equipment, sign paperwork, etc. I'm sure there are liability issues making this not just their practice but a necessary policy. Anyone who would fault a business owner for that is clearly pretty self-important. Do yourself a favor and give OrangeTheory Swampscott a try!

HORRIBLE BUSINESS PRACTICE…read more It was supposed to be my first class and I was genuinely excited to try it out but they didn't let me in the class. They have a very strict policy that you must arrive at least 30 minutes before the class starts. I arrived 23 minutes before. They said it is corporate policy and denied me access. No one ever told me before it was a strict 30 minutes or I would not get access in. To be a stickler over 7 minutes and turn down someone new is just rude. I am NEVER going back. By the way, I have friends who are OTF instructors at another location and they said that would never happen at their location because they allow new clients in up to 20 minutes before. SO this strict corporate policy is BS. The folks at this location have no sense of how to treat clients. While the first class is free you could not pay me to go back there.

There's a reason Lift Positive won Best Personal Training for 2020!…read more Rob, the owner, is absolutely fantastic. He really takes the time to get to know you, and creates a personalized training plan to catapult you toward your goals. As an engineer, I love how the system is structured such that your workout is quantifiable and it's easy to track progress. As a busy working human, I really feel like I'm maximizing my time and getting the best workout each hour-long session. I really like the concept of semi-personal training because let's be honest, you don't really need someone staring at you watching you do reps for 3600 seconds straight. Having a few other people there (up to 4 total per session) helps build a sense of community while still providing the attention and guidance you need. As someone who had been on and off the workout train for a bit, I've dealt with gymtimidation at a lot of other gyms, but not this one. The name rings true as this is definitely the most positive and friendly gym environment I've been in! I've never once felt judged here, not even for my weird taste in music. What I value about this personal training experience is that Rob is so encouraging, he makes you want to do better for yourself. I've hit a lot of personal records here, and I've lifted weights that I didn't think I could. At the same time, he will never make you do something that you're not comfortable with. If ever I feel like an exercise wasn't working my body quite right, Rob gives me pointers as to how to adjust the exercise to my body. He's also full of nutrition tips--a one-stop shop for holistic life advice! After just a couple weeks I feel much stronger than when I first started, and I'm equipped with new knowledge and exercises. Maybe most importantly, this experience gives me a new sense of (and appreciation for) discipline which is sure to help me maintain my forward momentum and reach my goals. Also, Rob has a dog named Rufus who hangs around sometimes and is super affectionate and fun. I probably should have just led with that.

There is a community here that I didn't know was possible to have at a gym. This place has strength training, weights, fitness classes, and some semi-private personal training. I have been super impressed with the owner, Rob. I have followed him here, after following him through multiple places he has worked at before opening up this place. Over the past 7 years, Rob has been the most dedicated trainer and human being I have ever met. From making me run with the treadmill OFF for 30sec intervals, to more Farmer's Walks than I thought were humanly possible, to getting me to the point where I could do more pull-ups than half the guys that walked by me(and yes, they were obviously unassisted). He made me realize that I was strong, and powerful, and he actually kept me motivated. I have completely fallen off my game the past 3 years, and I cannot wait to get back at it. When he opened this joint up-I RAN my butt in there...and you should too. I have limitations at the moment due to some spine stuff, but Rob is going to work with me as soon as I get restrictions from my PT's and doctors. He will meet you where you are at. If you want to go to a subpar gym and give yourself a pat on the back for going on the treadmill for 30min-be my guest-I've been that chick and it doesn't feel good. If you want to feel like you just kicked a**, then check this place out. I ASSURE YOU- you will not be disappointed.

I am lifting the heaviest weights and completing the most reps ever all because of the training I have been getting at BeFit! Not too mention I have lost 6lbs and 8.25 inches in 6 weeks, going to BeFit boot camp 3-4 days a week. I look forward to every workout, it is always new and challenging! I have been at BeFit for 10 weeks now. I'm a mom of soon to be 2 year old twins and I completely let myself go. I went to Coach Holly feeling very defeated, letting her know I quit everything I try typically (gyms, bootcamps, running, etc.). After my consultation, I knew it was the right fit. I commited to 3x a week and by week 3 I was noticing HUGE success. I'm getting stronger, fitter and healthier. Coach Holly and Coach Jane are extremely motivating and make you work hard and refuse to let you quit......tough love, exactly what I need. There are times I think I cannot do another rep, etc. and they support they give is amazing, it keeps me going. Every class is great and I look forward to going, not once have I wanted to skip. That says a lot. especially with my past history of quitting things. I can't even imagine my life without BeFit now. I'm on a road to a new healthy, stronger me for myself and my family. I've lost 6 inches already and have gained muscle. The weight is now starting to come off because I'm really working hard at my eating habits too. They have several programs you can try, I just signed up for a BeFit 30 Day weight loss program, I'm pumped. There are nutrition classes, running classes for beginners and marathoners. If you email Coach Holly or Coach Jane with any questions or concerns, they get back you you very quickly. I can't emphasize enough how dedicated they are as coaches and how they sincerely care about each and every clients well being and success. If you are looking for a change and to get healthy, I promise you will not be disappointed at BeFit. Try a free class, guarantee you will be hooked and will sign up!
