Must try! Life changer!…read more It has been 4 months since I joined the CrossFit X family and I LOVE it. I had done CrossFit in my late 20's/early 30's then took a break and did other types of exercise (running, hot yoga, traditional gym, Carolyn Gilvan YouTube workout programs)... 10 years and 2 kids later I was starting to feel old and out of shape at 41. I had a ski injury and my PT recommended CrossFit at another local gym. I visited that gym, felt super intimidated and did not join. A few years later a friend invited me to CrossFit X and from day 1 I felt so welcomed. For the first few months I did Cam Hashemi's classes only. He is an awesome coach!! And helped me get through the difficult stage of getting back to it. Now I am feeling stronger, happier, I have more energy, and my home life is improved. Yes, I have lost some weight (7lbs), but mostly I look and feel better. My husband was so inspired, he also joined. And our kids age 3 and 6) sometimes accompany us. The 9am class is my favorite, lots of inspiring moms. I hope you give this gym a try or drop by of a workout when in town.

Oddly enough, my home gym owner knew some folks at Kulshan CrossFit and got me in contact with Colby, the gym owner. He was so helpful in coordinating some times to come in and do the workouts since it isn't your typical class drop in. I went to the gym and met Ashley, who was coaching the 8:30am class and was extremely accommodating and even cheered me on while I was off to the side just trying to complete the quarterfinals workouts so I could enjoy my vacation. She offered up some tips to help me on my power cleans which I really appreciated. Furthermore, she went as far as offering to show me some breakfast spots around Bellingham as she found me outside trying to search for a nearby cafe! I gladly accepted her offer and she gave me a ride to the Bagelry and gave me a quick overview of the city as it was my second time there. This experience at Kulshan is why I love CrossFit. They truly went out of their way to make me feel comfortable in their space and I got such a great sense of community at Kulshan. Ashley even offered to let me play whatever music I wanted during my workout so I wouldn't have to wear headphones! It really made me feel included and I feel like I have a gym away from home to come to when I come back to Bellingham! I would highly recommend checking this place out!

Ok so it's almost the end of April and summer is coming so I will let you in on my secret but…read moreplease don't take my time slot ok? ;) It's been over a year and I am still working out at FGT, twice a week for 60 minutes with my husband. For the past 5 months, we have been training exclusively with Christian. He brings maturity and experience far beyond his years. He plans each workout in advance and tracks our progress. Each workout is different and never boring! He pushes us hard but is also careful and checks in as for example, I had an injury (non gym related) and he is always watching to make sure I don't hurt myself. He combines muscle, balance, cardio and flexibility in his workouts. He corrects our form (so we don't get hurt). He is hands on throughout the session and constantly encourages us. We have had significant results since training with Christian. Our efforts are optimized for time that we spend training. Some of the benefits we have reaped from training with Christian include; loss of body fat, increased lean muscle mass, improved flexibility, improved endurance, better coordination and balance, consistency (he has never cancelled on us!), motivation and so much more. I also go to 30 minute fit which is included in the package of training sessions we purchased. I almost always go at the times when there is a trainer in the room as I want to be corrected if I am not doing something right. (Again I don't want to get injured and I want success sooner than later...) it usually takes me a few more minutes than 30 but it's fast and a great, quick workout. They have different packages available but just know that this is NOT anything like the gyms down the street. Not at all! When you walk in the door, you are recognized and you will recognize the others. Crowded here means maybe 3 people in the 30 minute fit room? Seriously it's very small, there is no drama, no fashion show..no cold stare downs or whatever is going on in those other gyms ;) It's small. It's friendly. People are genuine. Hard work = results and you will have all the support you need right here.

I was completely nervous but just threw myself in it and I've loved 30 min fit ever since..being a mom of toddler twins i don't have much time for myself so this group training worked perfect for my schedule! I go in the evening with Melissa as my trainer at that time of day, shes helped motivate me and make me feel more confident in myself while showing me proper ways to do the circuit..im glad I made the leap and will push myself to stay consistent.. Starting with the service, It did take me a couple weeks to get a personal trainer but they did end up reaching back to me and now I work with a trainer. They have multiple there and although I have not met everyone, the ones I have are very nice. One drawback is it's kind of difficult to cancel the membership, you have to go in person and talk to someone about it. The quality of the machines are normal, it's definitely a cardio focused area but there are plenty of strength machines and a good amount of free weights. They also have nice locker rooms, showers, and restrooms! The atmosphere is more calm and mind your business on the slower hours but during busier hours less calm. It does seem to be busy most of the time but you can still find a machine. During rush hour it does get pretty difficult to find machines. Overall I would recommend if you need a gym!

It had to be in my name for the billing purposes and even though I never used it in the 24 hours I had it, they won't transfer it into his name. I have to cancel, lost my money and but a membership in his name even though he's a minor. All of his friends use their parents memberships and my son pays the visitor fee to go with them. But they won't let him use the top membership I just bought him. Discrimination much? My son's friend are white and he's not. Absolute WORST customer service of any gym we've ever been to. No accountability, they just give you a GMAIL address to email your complaint to and take your money. Do not do business with this scam of a business. ​
