Upon walking in, I was greeted by a nice woman who explained the recreation center to me. There are 2 swimming pools, one inside and one outside. They actually have water aerobics here! There's a walking track upstairs so there's a place to go when the weather outside is too hot too windy or too rainy to walk. They have a beautiful gym with a lot of equipment. They have a book share shelf. You can take a book or leave a book or both! They have lots of exercise classes and dance classes, including country and ballroom. They have yoga and more. This center is not just for young people or old people or children or men or women, it's for everybody! I saw so many different types of people, it was just a wonderful place to be. Everyone was so kind and the energy was so upbeat. As of the day that I am writing this review, the price is $30 a month. They do have programs for older people called Silver Sneakers, so even the old people can stay in shape! This is not a place to bring your dog. There are too many good things to say about this place. It doesn't state that anywhere on their website and I was going here for a few months since I moved to Georgetown. One day as I was getting ready to work out, the manager rudely came over and hit me with a "tomorrow is your last day here". No explanation or anything. The gym itself is mid. There is 1 squat rack, albeit no one really uses it because of the fitness goals of gym-goers to this location, but the gym can get crowded real quick even if there's only 4 people in there. If there's a class going on, forget about it and just come back later. I do have to say that the staff other than the manager which I only had the pleasure of interacting with that one day are really friendly and it's too bad it didn't work out. Hopefully one of them takes over as manager of this location so no one gets treated as disrespectfully as I did.
