They have two separate machines and free weight areas, two areas where you can use treadmills or ellipticals, and then the walking track that the woman who showed me around said 16 laps equal a mile. The pool is closed on Tuesday until 9:00 AM and so I stuck to working out on machines for this visit. There wasn't a lot of people there so that is a good thing to me, nothing worse for a gym than an overcrowded gym.

A nice young woman gave me a tour of the facilities and I was able to sign up for a low monthly fee. I couldn't believe what was included; Two huge lap pools, workout equipment, classes I can choose from, spin classes, and a walking track, sauna and a Jacuzzi. The jacuzzi is down at the moment but they are working on it. The locker room and bathrooms were so clean, I was very impressed. I dove in and did my first 14 laps and it felt so good. The whole fitness area was very clean. Can't wait for the next visit.

Don't even think about using the showers. They have this strange policy of the gym where chalk can only be used by purchasing an additional cost membership for the gym and then you can only utilize it in separate section of the gym lol in this other area which is also an additional cost to use. The owners and employees are unfriendly. Don't say anything, walk right by you even when greeted. The "managers" this fat beef biker looking dude who walks around with a stick up his ass and doesn't know what he doing. Been in the fitness industry 10 years and watched both him and. The owner train people and it's your classic put people on machines and count their reps type of trainer mentality. I feel like I need three showers after leaving this place from how unsanitary it is. Don't recommend.

Most of the time the on duty person is just in the office- not taking heavy weights off the equipment some guy did not unload or anything other than office work. Certain times of the day this gym can be very full and getting the equipment you want to be a struggle. I've been trying to go off hours because I have flexibility in my schedule, but there definitely seems to be more and more people here. Don't get me wrong the convenience of being able to go whenever you want and the location of this gym in Oak Ridge make it super convenient and easy.
