The location is new and sparkly, but the coaches and athletes are what made the old location - and make the new one - a welcoming place to workout! If you're not sure about trying Crossfit you can drop in for a first class for free. The sport prides itself on being scaleable to all levels - so whether you're just beginning a fitness journey or you've been lifting your whole life, you will fit in! Here, a workout is programmed each day and a coach will guide you through all of the movements and steps. All of the coaches are incredibly encouraging and excellent at helping you master the movements. The gym offers regular Crossfit classes, as well as Barbell, Mobility, and Yoga sessions. The thought of going to a crowded gym with no direction used to be enough to cement me to the couch. Plus, I had the self-confidence of a wet paper towel. All I knew was that I wanted to become healthier and learn to lift weights properly. Since starting here a little over a year ago, I have a much healthier mindset about fitness. I'm very grateful for taking a chance then, and for the supportive community I have here now!

I stopped into RVCF the day before Thanksgiving with my boyfriend who is a member. I was greeted by…read morethe owner and coach. There were a good variety of people of different fitness levels which made me feel comfortable since I just started crossfit a couple months ago (not in va). The coach of the night focused on technique and was helpful with any questions. If you haven't done crossfit before, each day is a different set of workouts. The workout of the day was broken up into three different skill levels: I chose the easiest, but you can modify it up or down as you wish! I was definitely feeling the workout the next day. At the end of the workout, we did a little cheer. Throughout the year, they do different optional competitions and team building events. The community aspect is super important when choosing a gym! I will return!

I seriously have not been excited to work out as I have at RVCF. The programming is spot on, with constant variety of movements and workouts-you can't get bored!. It's good to have that extra guidance outside the limits of your mind, pushing you you farther than you could working out on your own. Besides the fitness aspect, there is a strong sense of community. I have never felt ostracized or out of place because I am not in as awesome shape as another member or because I am slower than others or for whatever reason. My confidence is boosted every time I walk in the door because I know I will get the motivation I need to meet the goals that I want to obtain.

Everyone at this location is very friendly & encouraging. After the world shut down I was determined to get back into working out and Burn bootcamp makes it fun, but don't get it twisted, you WILL get your sweat on & feel sore (in a good way). Classes are normally limited to 36 people, though presently, I think it's limited to 12 for COVID. Masks are worn for indoor workouts, doors are opened for circulation. Come check it out and tell them I sent you :) Shoutout to Tripp, Daniel and Bimala. Very cool trainers and people who love what they do and the people they are coaching.

Earlier this year I joined F45 as a way to get back in shape, and be healthier overall. I had…read morepreviously tried things like T25 (Videos), and in the past had been a gym member (lifting weights); but none of them really kept me motivated and coming back...nor was I really very dedicated to cardio work. F45 kind of changed all that. Each session is pretty intense as far as a workout goes, but it's all about how hard you push yourself. Exercises can be slower and easy, or fast and hard (or slow and hard ;-) ) depending on how you feel, and your level of confidence. However, the trainers that are there to help you along and the team of people that you work out with that help you to get motivated make all the difference. The folks that come there are super friendly and engaging; and the trainers are personable and non-judgemental ;-) . It's a high intensity workout, and it's easy to get a lot out of it so long as you go on a regular basis. All that being said, I'm a fan of F45. There are some things that make it better (perhaps) than others: - Erika (the trainer that is usually there when I go) is super friendly and helpful; she's always greeting you with a smile on her face, and ending the day with high-fives; and during the workouts she's letting you know where you can improve - or where you can push yourself harder. - The changing exercises daily (both in terms of timing, flow, and exercises themselves) keep things from getting dull; and you're focusing on different body parts - which is also great. - There are NO TREADMILLS; it's personal - but I'm not a fan of those things at all, so the lack of them is a plus for me. I've met several nice people at the local F45, and although none of them have invited me or my family over for dinner, I remain hopeful. Seriously though - the people are great, the trainers are great, and they have these heart monitors you can strap on to see how much you are improving. I'd highly recommend you go and try it out if you're looking for something different, and engaging, in terms of high intensity interval training.
