Bria Method - Before and After!

I recently signed up for the Bria Method that opened only two weeks ago and have been really…read moreenjoying it. If you are like me and don't enjoy traditional gyms, with hoards of people and overwhelming looking equipment, this is for you. This gym offers classes that range from fast paced HIIT that include strength training, TRX and plyometrics mixed in with cardio as well as low impact classes such as Barre and yoga. I am pretty sure they have other classes that I have yet to try! Overall, for me, I find that a workout out in a group setting is better. I have taken a few different classes so far and all were great! The times are very convenient and typically they have a class almost every, hour at least in the early morning (which is most convenient for me). Some are ran concurrently in the two rooms that the gym has. The space is large, bright and clean. They have bathroom (obviously!) and even a shower, which I do not use so cannot speak to it. Your do have to remember to sign up for the classes, can't just show up. The sign up is easy through the MINDBODY app that I've used previously for other studios in the area. It's synced with my personal calendar so no excuses for missing a class. At the moment, the classes don't have too many people in them but I imagine that changing in the near future. I guess then it will be on the first come first serve basis through the app. I will definitely update my review after trying more of the classes they offer but so far I would recommend.

This is a terrific group fitness studio. Family owned and operated. Tony and his coaches do a…read moretremendous job meeting people where they are and helping them optimize their fitness level. They give great coaching and direction and will provide options to accommodate injuries or limitations. Their classes are a unique blend of strength, cardio and hiit but the foundation is weight training. Each day has a focus and flows into the next so you train evenly and don't risk overtraining any particular body part. They have a separate LIT area where they offer yoga, body pump, dance sweat and Pilates classes. Members get all of this for a price that is less than just about every group fitness studio in the area. They smartly located a bit off the beaten path but super convenient to get to from all the surrounding neighborhoods in central bucks county so your membership fee isn't going to pay for rent in an expensive shopping center. This place is a "diamond in the rough". Finally, you will see your neighbors and friends here and if you don't know anyone you will quickly be welcomed into the Bria community. No pretentiousness... just normal people trying to optimize their fitness. Give it a try you won't be sorry.

PCF remains an amazing gym despite Covid-19. Certainly it had to close for a period as mandated by…read morethe state. However upon being allowed to reopen Lee, the owner and coaches have made adjustments to ensure the safety of everyone there. I feel safer here than nearly any other place that involves being around other people (e.g. grocery store, pharmacy). Standard precautions are in place. Everyone has to sanitize their hands, get their temperature taken, and wear a mask the entire time! I've been grateful that everyone at PCF takes this seriously and as far as I've seen wears their mask the entire time. There is a huge garage door in the back which is almost always open and you can exit out the back and remove your mask if you need to take your mask off for a minute or two. Many workouts are scaled or adapted if you prefer to workout outside. The floors have taped boxes in them and you are to remain in your box while you are working out so that everyone remains spaced apart. You are able to leave to get weights and other equipment but with the understanding you will maintain physical distance from others while doing so. Also most people grab their workout equipment upon arriving so there is less reason to leave your square during the workout. Individual spray bottles and rags are in each box for you to clean ALL your equipment after the workout. Highly recommend this place if you are looking for a great workout and a place which will support you in your fitness goals regardless of what they might be.

Afterward, we methodically went through the steps of the "man maker" (consciously ignoring the term). I liked this part because it gave everyone an opportunity to get on the same page and focus on their technique. Joe went around and gave pointers to make sure that we were doing everything correctly. Finally, we had a twenty five minute AMRaP workout of man makers and 200m runs with a partner. Again, I really enjoy the partner and team-oriented nature. I find that it keeps me accountable, motivates me, and just makes the experience more fun. Bonus: I love how community-minded PCF is. On Saturdays in December they host local entrepreneurs with a pop-up shop in the gym!

Top notch gym. Great people and unlike the bizarrely left wing "Planet Fitness" this place is truly…read more"Judgement Free" (Planet Fitness tagline). I am mentioning the competition because I see great gyms like this having to compete with gimmicky places that are not at all conserved with fitness (see one of 100+ videos on YouTube about this). They clientele ranges from people who are totally out of shape to Elite athletes. The great thing about the severely out of shape clientele is that they don't stay that way for long (awesome). I heard someone talking about how being in the Gold's Gym Bridgewater environment really helped then get in shape, a place where people mind there own business but are totally willing to help if asked. The member had previously been at "Planet Fitness" and had no access to any real guidance and were (literally) fed pizza at this Walmart of Fitness (the high cost of low price). It is this conversation I had with a member that made me think to compare and contrast these businesses with VERY different motives again, look up Planet Fitness on YouTube, if it sounds like I have something against them it's because I do, I don't like seeing people getting mislead and taken advantage of. A true nurturing environment is one where people who are competitive bodybuilders/true athletes are totally willing to (if asked) to help out anyone who asks and those that are new are welcomed by the training staff and members alike, just a great vibe. I myself came in pretty out of shape and in a few months I am on my way back to being in great shape, I attribute a lot of this to the top-notch equipment and pleasant environment of this gym. The environment/energy of a place like this is extremely important because you have to A) want to be there and B) feel motivated while you are, do not underestimate this, it is a huge reason that if you want to look good, great or totally ripped you need to be comfortable and motivated in a place that is serious about your fitness.

The representative I spoke with was not transparent about the contract terms, and I didn't realize the full commitment until later. I strongly recommend asking for a copy of the contract in advance and reading it thoroughly before signing anything. Don't rely solely on what's verbally explained.
