So i decided to join her one day as her plus one. First off, know that you have to drive all the way to the back of the plaza to find it. But there's plenty of parking. The studio is run by two nice trainers: Sally and Jordan. They are very open and all about helping you. They tell you their story and listen to yours. It's all about setting goals and appreciating the little accomplishments. First thing when you walk in is that it's one big room. Not little alcoves here and there. Just a huge mat for you to get sweaty on. I did notice there's not one mirror- which is quite interesting. There is complementary child care and very nice locker rooms. They are like to do one on one meetings to check in with you every other week. Their hours are a bit wonky so check the class schedule each week before coming in. But what I like most about this place is that if you can't do a conventional push up, they find another way to get your body to work the same muscles. My advice? Come try it out!

We were taught an array of moves on the pole and then moved onto a full chair dance routine. The women in our party ranged in age from their early 20's to late 50's -- and everyone had a blast! I can't say enough good things about our experience. As for the regular classes, I took a class here about a year ago and really enjoyed myself. Unfortunately, I don't live in the area or else Sweat Like A Girl would be my full-time workout studio.

I attended my first class at Sweat Like A Girl about two years ago. I was still pretty new to…read moreexercise with a ton of weight to lose, and very little idea where to get started. I quickly became tired of the elliptical, tired of the treadmill, and the only thing I knew for sure was that if my workouts continued to feel like chores, I'd never stick with them. I tried the Fight Club class after checking out classes at a few other gyms, and I was instantly hooked. It was first time I realized I could have a good time working out. It took me a while to try out some of the other classes, but now, SuperGirl is my favorite. It's always something different, but consistently keeps me working hard. But the really surprising thing was, it didn't take me long to feel comfortable there. Heather, the owner of the gym who also happens to be the main instructor for many classes, is equally a motivator, an entertainer, and a hardcore fitness instructor. I start out each class feeling scared for the intensity i know is about to be inflicted upon my body, and psyched, in the same was anybody is before they are about to do something they know is going to be completely fun and rewarding. Any class with Heather usually includes a stand-up routine at no extra charge. And not surprisingly, smiling and laughing a lot while you're sweating like crazy, definitely takes the pressure off. Actually, all the instructors are pretty cool, care about your success, and will give you a great workout. I've met a lot of people at this gym, and the pervasive attitude is one of support, non-judgement, and willingness to help each other out. The whole environment is pretty cool, and rare. There's something for everybody, whether your idea of fitness involves flipping tires, interval training, running, dancing, pole, or kicking and punching. And the price is definitely right.

I am writing this review to formally document ongoing mismanagement, lack of accountability,…read moreimproper billing practices, and unprofessional conduct at the Crunch Fitness Pottstown, PA location. Nearly one year ago, I was explicitly informed by the former General Manager (Cam) and an employee known as "Bunny" that I would be issued a refund for three out of five personal training sessions I purchased. This refund was promised due to the club's failure to notify or communicate with me when my assigned personal trainer was terminated. Despite this clear agreement, no refund was ever issued. Over the past year, I have made repeated attempts to resolve this issue and have been consistently ignored, redirected, or avoided by staff and management. Most recently, the current General Manager claimed there was "no documentation" of the original refund agreement. I requested escalation to the Regional Manager at that time. It has now been two weeks with no follow-up or communication, further demonstrating a systemic lack of professionalism and accountability. Rather than resolving the matter, the newer General Manager Paulie attempted to persuade me to "donate" my unused training sessions back to the company so other members could use them. This suggestion was inappropriate, unethical, and unacceptable, particularly given that these were paid services and the refund obligation remains outstanding. This proposal appeared designed to benefit internal staffing issues rather than honor commitments made to a paying member. To further compound this issue, I canceled my membership today and was forced to pay an additional $31.99 for another month before my cancellation could be processed. This resulted in yet another charge that I should not have been required to pay and adds to the growing amount of money being wrongfully retained by this company. This experience has significantly increased my frustration and reinforces a clear pattern of poor billing practices and disregard for member concerns. Beyond these financial issues, the overall operation of this location is deeply concerning. The facility is frequently dirty, poorly maintained, and contains machines that are regularly broken or out of service. Employees routinely congregate, socialize, and remain on their phones instead of maintaining the gym or assisting members. Groups of individuals -- sometimes including staff -- occupy workout machines without using them, preventing other members from accessing equipment. Additionally, I personally overheard multiple personal trainers openly complaining about their compensation and dissatisfaction with pay inside the locker room, in front of members. This behavior is highly unprofessional and reflects poor leadership and a lack of workplace standards. This location demonstrates a clear and ongoing pattern of: - Failure to honor financial commitments - Improper and questionable billing practices - Lack of documentation and accountability - Ignoring escalation requests - Unprofessional staff conduct - Inadequate facility maintenance I am requesting immediate corporate review and resolution, including reimbursement of all wrongfully charged amounts, confirmation that my membership has been fully canceled without further charges, and an investigation into the management practices at this location. This situation has gone unresolved for far too long and should never require this level of escalation.

They welcomed the effort but didn't push too hard for exercising. There weren't any obstacle course elements in the class. We were allowed to stay after and ask some ninja warrior potential experts on a few techniques of the obstacles. It was nice to celebrate little victories- kind of like the non-single Matt Nathanson song of the same phrase . This place has obstacle course equipment with more of an adult look but kids are also welcome and encouraged as they probably bring most of the funding to the gym too. Outside had some equipment as well as part of the 30 min circuit training. Some people might not like the younger kids or the dogs that were around. The kids around were in line and well behaved and one of the dogs seemed jealous of not enough attention and started to get in my way of my running path. It was a bit comical for me. Oh a temporary break lol. Some of the staff keep the place well cleaned and maintained. This was probably a 4 star experience for me but the community element here helps me bump it to a 5

I have lost 30lbs on my weight loss journey and Purenergy has been a huge part of that! For less than the cost of that massive gym in King of Prussia and way more variety than the "Citrus Concept" down the street, you can enjoy similar class offerings, free babysitting 8:30a-12pm Monday to Friday, and twice the ambiance! I find myself in Yoga a few days a week - the studio is beautiful and the mild heat is welcome in these bitterly cold winter months! I recommend Kristy's Wall class for a great deep stretch and Sarah's Power Flow for the ultimate mind/body stress relief! As part of my New Years Resolution, I am trying more of the fitness classes here, and thus far have taken Lisa's Tabata and Michelle's Burn class - both high-intensity interval training guaranteed to ramp up your energy! You'll also find pilates, barre, aerial, spinning, and martial arts classes here - ensuring you'll never get stuck in a rut! I'd personally love to see more Pilates or core based classes in the evening, but realize that has everything to do with instructor availability and member interest! :) Beyond the class offerings at Purenergy you'll find a welcoming atmosphere, clean locker rooms, and fresh towels for the sweat you're guaranteed to break! Drop in for a class - you'll be a member before you know it!
