I have been a customer for 2 years. Today, and I might add I am paid in full, I was denied access through the code pad. Everything correct. There is no one on premise or a the central location to assist customers. All you can do is leave voice mails or send an email hoping for a response. Two years ago, there were staff on premise and actual maintenance to the property. No more. My recommendation is to sell your things before moving it into this facility. read more

BEWARE of this place! We have been with the Zeeland location for YEARS and recently they got rid of the woman who worked there and replaced her with a kiosk. The BEST thing about the kiosk is that the room it lives in ALWAYS smells like rotting animal carcass covered with potpourri. Recently, we went to rent a small indoor unit for our summer items that won't fit in our house. We used the kiosk, picked a unit in a hallway and paid our money. The payment immediately cleared our bank, and we received an email confirmation of the rental. It was good through the month. We went to the unit to make sure it would be big enough, and went on our way. Yesterday (with more than a week left on our month) we drove all our stuff to the rental, and there was someone else's lock on our door! We went to the kiosk to see what we could figure out, and there is no record of our rental!!! As mentioned, there isn't a human there to assist with issues, and the phone number listed NEVER gets answered. Nobody ever returns our calls either (this isn't the first time we've had to call). So, we are out the monthly rental fee (and the $10 "setup fee.... whatever THAT'S for) and we have nowhere to store our stuff!! Shady and not trying to have good customer service!!! All they care about is getting your money! I was unable to get a functioning access code from their kiosk. On the day of rental, my partner and I both looked at the number and attempted to enter the passcode unsuccessfully numerous times. Nobody answered the phone when I clicked on the "talk to a person" tab at the kiosk. Nobody answered the posted telephone numbers posted in the office. No people there at all. When I checked my account on the kiosk after failing to get in the gate, it stated that my passcode was 0* (obviously wrong). Cross Creek did not give me anything for my money, no contract was completed. They refuse to refund the charge on my credit card. I spoke to them numerous times on the phone, catching them in lie after lie about how their "system" did not fail. What a joke. Stay away from these guys. ABSOLUTELY NO! The management is a joke! I had a great first year at this facility. CoVid hit, the company changed its billing system and I was LOCKED OUT of the building for 30 days! The gate code was changed on me and I couldn't go in to get my belongings. The phone number posted on the door doesn't have a voicemail set up. The email response is not prompt on weekends. Even if someone is sitting in the office during the open office hours they have the blinds shut and will not answer a knock. The kiosk in the lobby to pay rent is not working and the phone number to call for help is not in service. DO NOT STORE THINGS HERE! read more

I stored a trailer outside here Pros: Nice clean grounds, good location, average pricing. Cons: 1. Limited access times 7a-10p, more important if you store RV, trailers, etc. vs. just "stuff." 2. Zero staff on site [they're cheaping out and declaring it a "self service location"], 3. The beam that's supposed to release gate to exit never worked with my Tundra pickup so I had to get out and push the backup button every time, 4. There is no emergency # to call if equipment fails any time other than 9a-5p M-F -- and during working hours you have to call other facility as there's no one on site here anymore. Greed will run this place into the ground. Just pray you don't get locked out on a weekend you want to do something, or locked in anytime that's not 9-5 M-F. No 911 # is unconscionable -- that's an insane dependence on mechanical and software working 100%. On their own site they show 4.9 stars on 26 "testimonials" -- meaning they scrubbed the results. When I moved out they never asked why, or if there had been any problems, nor customer suggestions for improvement. That says they don't care about customer feedback. I get it that at storage places people are always moving . . . but how hard is it to ask for feedback? You might learn something, if you care. read more
