The 6k gallon koi pond was too much work and so expensive. After filling it in, I asked Allyson Sheehan from Cross Creek to create a landscaping proposal that included lighting. The proposal was returned in just a few days. We scheduled the work, and the project finished today. I am ecstatic with the results. I placed an online order for flowers for a funeral from a site call Flowers by Nora. Apparently this is not a real florist and the arrangement came from Cross Creek. Our friend in Calif sent us flowers which came from Cross Creek Florist. We called to thank her and she was surprised the flowers arrived so soon. She said she ordered them just over an hour ago. We sent her a picture of the flowers and she said, "they look exactly like the picture I ordered." We were so pleased we went to the business to thank them. While there I spoke with a florist named Josh. I showed him the picture and he said, "Yes, I made that arrangement." I thank him profusely. We had just lost a pet of 18 years the day before and the flowers were sent to console us in our grief. We had Cross Creek Landscape Company design and implement a landscape plan in Mosaic. I can't say enough good things about Austin and the crew that worked on our project. They built a beautiful pergola, installed a stone patio and planted all the trees, shrubs and plants that our designer (Ally - also great to work with) picked out for our yard. They were on-time every day, worked hard all day long, and left everything clean and put away each evening when they were done. BEST project we've had done in a long time. What can I say? We are big about supporting local, and I will forever tell people to buy their plants here. My dad and myself have been doing some renovations around dads house......last year we lost my mom to cancer and her and my Dad bought their first home together just 5 months before my mom would pass away this year we are trying to do things around the house mom and dad has discussed after purchasing their home. My wife and I visited Cross Creek on Courthouse Road this morning, 3/5/25. We asked for help from Alex Rose. After hearing my wife was unable to walk down to where the plants she wanted, Alex directed us to where to park, closer to the hydrangeas Mrs Taylor wanted. Alex went to the plants and hauled them, 3 seven gallon and 2 three gallon up to the parking lot. She than helped me get the plants in our car. Cross Creek Nursery is so poorly managed that it makes me wonder if they are intentionally trying to go out of business. Cross Creek Nursery strung me along for 2 months on an order of 28 shrubs. One of their employees (Jane) convinced me to cancel my order at Strange's and place it with Cross Creek Nursery instead. She quoted me 28 units at $29.99 each plus $15 per plant for delivery and installation. I accepted. When the shrubs finally arrived at Cross Creek, Jane didn't call me like she said she would. I followed up yesterday and found they had been delivered a week ago. I went to Cross Creek yesterday, had to hunt down my order, and found they tagged the shrubs I ordered for someone else. Poorly managed. We resolved that issue but then came the whopper; Cross Creek wouldn't honor the price Jane quoted me. Instead they jacked up the installation price by over 3x! I called Jane this morning and she chose to LIE about the price she quoted me. Cross Creek doesn't deserve to be in business for wasting customers' time, not returning phone calls, being poorly managed, not honoring prices they quote, and LYING. My project is delayed by 2 months because of Cross Creek and I'm taking my biz elsewhere. I've never be back to Cross Creek and will share with 10k followers here in RVA to avoid them like the plague. read more

This review is for the lawn maintenance service. Last year they did our treatments; we have fescue in front and zoysia in back, they said sure no problem. They used a weed killer that killed the zoysia; last spring I had lush thick zoysia grass and this year it's a weed patch because they used the wrong chemicals and killed it off. After one of the treatments last year it all turned white. Seems like they decide on the same lawn treatment for everyone, even if it's just wrong for your yard. At $1200 a year I expected a lot better. The management said anything on the phone to make me happy but then did not follow up. The guys doing the applications were fine but the management on the phone made promises that were not kept. My back yard is a mess now. read more

We plan on planting a privacy hedge and trees at the rear of our property. I showed up on Saturday not sure of what to do and a very helpful young lady (Taylor) guided us around the garden center and showed us exactly what we needed. We wound up with 20+ Ligustrum recurves and a couple of Holly's. Checking out and setting up delivery was easy and straight forward. I ordered flowers for Valentine's Day for my sister through Teleflora. They outsourced it to this local florist. Upon receiving the arrangement, my sister sent me a photo of it. I was shocked to see how horrible it looked! I apologized to her and told her that these were not the flowers I picked out for her. For one, the flowers I ordered had red roses in the name of the arrangement and in the description, and the arrangement she received had none at all. Secondly, the arrangement was missing a lot of "oomph" to it and looked nothing like the photo online. It had a lot of empty space and the flowers were placed in an unorganized and unprofessional way. It looked like an amateur threw this together last minute! I honestly could have done a much better job had I gone to a grocery store and purchased flowers on my own to put together. I called them to tell them about my disappointment and they were really apologetic about it and said that they will resend a new arrangement the following day. I was guaranteed that it will look similar to the arrangement I had originally picked out online. I was worried that they weren't going to follow through with this (based on the previous Yelper's review). However, my sister did receive a new arrangement the next day except that it looked just as bad as the first one, if not worse. I called yet again after my sister received the second arrangement not to ask for another resend but to share my continued disappointment with the second arrangement sent. I was so embarrassed to have a make-up arrangement delivered to her work looking just as bad as the first arrangement, and was definitely not looking to have another disappointing arrangement sent to her a third time. I spoke to a different person this time and he was very apologetic about it and said he would look into it. I emailed him photos of both arrangements my sister received and a screenshot of how the arrangement was supposed to receive, I never heard back. If you're ordering flowers through Teleflora or FTD (according to the other Yelper's review) - DO NOT SELECT THIS FLORIST, you will be disappointed. Went to get plants that were on sale. Researched what I wanted and found it was on sale. After picking all the plants out and getting to the register I was told that sale was over. I told them I just saw the add on their web page. Went ahead and looked it up on my phone and it was still showing on sale. Was told then that the sale went off that morning and the person that handled the postings must not be in. While putting the plants back they said they would honor the sale on some of the plants but not all. At that point I was done. Not worth it when another greenhouse down the street had the items I needed on sale. Very disappointing. read more

My husband ordered flowers for me for Valentines Day thru Avasflowers online and it was outsourced to this florist. After the order was bought and paid for $90 worth he received an email saying the flowers wouldn't be delivered on Valentines Day. He tried to cancel online and thought he had until yesterday when a delivery guy showed up at our office with this wilted bouquet. I think you may have missed the point we would have paid the higher price but it was the insistances by your salesperson that we had to used pesticides to use your services that stopped us from hiring you. We have used cross creek for trees & plants several times and have always been happy with the quality and service. This morning, I had the most pleasant experience at the nursery. I was solo with my one year old (in a stroller) and three year old. Not only did one young man advise me on what to purchase for my planter and then proceed to carry the plants to my car-but also, on two other occasions, I was offered help to carry plants/load the plants into my vehicle. Running errands with two little ones in tow can be difficult and I was so grateful for the staff's kindness this morning! read more
