They refuse to issue any refund, leaving us with a major financial loss and scrambling to rebuild essential parts of the wedding at the last minute. The stress and emotional toll this puts on our family is overwhelming, and it is entirely due to the way this business chooses to handle its closure. We are now desperately hoping that other vendors in the community will step forward with support or discounted services to help salvage my daughter's day. book this venue if you want to get SCAMMED. it appears they have double booked multiple weddings, probably trying to collect enough money to save themselves from bankruptcy, only to fail & leave multiple brides, grooms, family, friends WITHOUT a venue that was all inclusive, whose weddings are coming up in a few days, week, weeks, WITHOUT A REFUND. not only is this VERY short notice, these couples were notified ONLY VIA EMAIL. as a wedding business, they know how many months of planning, sweat, and tears go into having a wedding. to have your special day ripped out from under you after all that. they are in the business of providing the happiest day of your life and instead they have left these couples with the worst. these couples are now out THOUSANDS of dollars and they probably have emotional trauma as well! not to mention the business has turned off the comments on their Instagram! absolutely cruel. read more

My brother and his fiancee were married at Cross Creek Ranch over the Thanksgiving holiday. I was a member of the wedding party - which means I saw two versions of Cross Creek - one on the rehearsal day and the other on the day of the wedding. When I stepped onto the property for rehearsal day, I was impressed by how beautiful it was. The facilities, outdoor venue areas, etc. are immaculate. I felt like I was transported to a completely different area due to the fact it is so secluded and pristine. At the rehearsal, I met Valerie Anderson (Wedding Specialist). I found her to be amazingly approachable, informative and enjoyable to be around. She clearly cares about making sure every detail is covered. As for the wedding day - The ceremony and reception were perfect. Everything was organized and flowed smoothly. The reception area facilitated great conversation and dancing too! The outdoor grounds also provided areas for group interaction before and after dinner. Words really can't do it justice, but you can't go wrong by choosing Cross Creek Ranch. So yeah, this place is top notch. Legit wedding (and anything) venue. Very picturesque and the pictures attached to this business from the countless photographers can attest to that. Walking up to it, you can't really appreciate it. It does feel like a ranch. It says so in the name. However, getting just to the entrance and a couple steps in and you can quickly see the appeal. The area our friends got married in was very very cute and great for pictures. It probably can fit more people (I think they invited 100?) but probably not much more. The swings are AWESOME. Seriously great to take pictures of. The actual barn? Very well done. So much opportunity there to design and decorate. At this wedding it was done very well. Nicely lit. They had corn hole outside and a fire pit. The staff was great and lively. This one person, Quinton, was my favorite. This whole thing works! Cross Creek Ranch truly is the most amazing venue for a wedding on the planet!! If you start with the expertise assembled for our wedding that would be enough for top honors, but wait there's more. The grounds were brought to life with our story book vision just like a fairy tale by this cast of super natural people. Every member chimed in to create a dream atmosphere while making us feel important and comfortable through the entire process. Margo was an absolute Rockstar!! She was on point from our first dealings with her and as it came to just two weeks out gave us everything she had. She took every call, text and if I would have had a carrier pigeon she would have waited for it. Countless, dilegent, focused, reliable, witty, energetic, and 100 of other positive descritive words for this Gem. I'm not sure why or how we won the lottery with having her as our liaison for the most perfect wedding ever but we will sure take it and be ever so thankful. Going back to the venue and the other members are just as apealing. Every small detail was either discussed or miraculously just done during the process of our special day. We had chosen the Enchanted Forest however there are many other locations on the property to have your wedding. The forest was prepared to the exact detail but actually better and I'm not even sure that's possible. The entire assembly of flowers, colors and just life was thrown into this in a sort of whimsical fashion. To say we were blown away would be a travesty as it was so much better. The entire day was stress free and what you expect from a wedding but never seem to achieve. We were actually able to enjoy and just bask in the reason for this major event. I know I'm not giving Cross Creek the justice it deserves, if I was having another Child it would be Cross Creek Allison. So in closing, If you want to be amazed for an entire year and are getting married then choose The Cross Creek Ranch for your wedding venue. I just had my wedding on July 18th, 2020 and I was just so grateful to have worked with such a marvelous group of people at Cross Creek Ranch from beginning to end. The team at Cross Creek Ranch was there for me at any moment, especially when it came to COVID-19, the team was all hands on deck to be there and accomplish anything that needed done so that my husband and I could have the wedding of our dreams. It was a bumpy ride for a moment, but Cross Creek honestly made it as stress free as possible during this hectic and uncertain time, that when the big day came, we all were able to forget about the outside world. I am truly thankful to Valerie, my lead coordinator, who has honestly become a part of my family. She went above and beyond to make me feel so special and that this was my "princess day" and nothing was going to get in the way of that. My husband described her perfectly; she is an actual fairy godmother! Any bride would be so lucky to have her be there for them to help plan their own "princess days". Each team member, Lindsay, Annika, and Brenda were all so amazing and made our day so special. They genuinely cared for us and wanted to be there for whatever we needed. Each one of them played such intricate roles throughout the day that goes beyond words of thanks and gratitude. I was able to focus on those around me and not even for one second stress about what was to come. Went to a wedding there a couple of weeks ago. The setting was so pretty for the ceremony, out in the country under the canopy of a huge tree. Several yards away is the outdoor area for cocktails & steps away from that, the large barn where the reception was. There were a little over 100 people & plenty of space. Food was excellent! All of the staff are super friendly & so organized! The wedding planner went over everything with the wedding party at the rehearsal in detail, so nothing was overlooked. S'mores & games outside followed by a sparkler send off. What a fun, relaxing, beautiful wedding it was. Highly recommend this location! read more

Dishonest. Unapologetic. Heartbreak. These are the words that come to mind when I think about my experience with CCR. I still can't believe that this has happened, as I carefully chose the venue. Where it went mostly wrong was with the flowers. I initially met with my florist, Jana from Events in Bloom, who I was very happy with and trusted. I didn't have all of the details ready when I initially met with her, and made sure to send her pictures and more details at a later date. When I showed up to CCR on my wedding day, while it was pretty, I felt that I was crashing someone else's wedding. The color scheme of the flowers, the way the bouquets were arranged, the color ribbon they used to tie the bouquets, the color of the flowers in the boutonnières was wrong. Everything was wrong. I never got my flower girl's wreath to wear on her head, which I had mentioned at two separate meetings. But here's the best part, the florist I had met with wasn't the florist that did my wedding. It was a completely different florist. CCR never brought this to my attention, and from what I'm starting to understand, they didn't tell ANY of their brides. CCR decided to go with a florist called Alta Fleura earlier in 2018. There was surely plenty of time to notify me and schedule a meeting with my new florist. This would have been fine with me, vendors change. I fully believe that if I had been given the opportunity to meet with the new florist, I would have gotten the wedding that I had been envisioning. CCR failed to give me this chance, and is even now trying to make it seem like these two florists work together on weddings on a regular basis. I spoke personally with my original florist, and they cut ties with her. When you spend the amount of money, time, and energy planning the wedding you've dreamed of for your entire life down to every little detail, you should get what you want. The most hurtful part is they they say "I'm sorry" in their emails and then start listing how it was essentially our fault that we didn't get what we wanted. Apparently I should have said that everything with the flowers was wrong when I showed up at CCR and there was maybe less than 30 minutes left to fix everything. Because they could redo all of the flower arrangements, make a wreath for my flower girl, make new boutonnières, change the bouquets, etc. in that amount of time, right? CCR isn't sorry, they're sorry they didn't get away with pulling a fast one. Do they truly care about the fact that I burst into tears on numerous occasions about how unfair this was, and that even almost a month later I still can't talk out loud about my wedding, or even write this review without crying? I really don't think so. Save yourself and your significant other the heartbreak, and choose any other vendor. read more

An Amazing Place! This is an amazing venue for ANY kind of celebration, big or small. Looking at all the reviews from those who have held events here - reading the glowing praises of the staff and especially of the owners, Sean & Bonnie McSharry, and I couldn't agree more. They are truly wonderful, kind, caring people. I have been fortunate to attend a couple of events at Cross Creek Ranch and even had a private tour with one of the owners where I could watch the staff in action setting up to make some lucky couple's dream come true. I overheard them talking about making the event extra special for the bride, making sure the setup, flowers, tables etc.. were exactly what she wanted and adding those amazing little touches that would make a huge a difference. I can't wait for my 25th anniversary and to renew my vows - guess where the party will be! read more

Went on a tour of this venue and it truly is quite beautiful. I was excited about potentially booking this venue and wanted my fiancé and parents to see it as well. When we arrived we were informed that we would be taking a tour with another group. Although this is not a major concern, I had scheduled an appointment ahead of time and would have liked for my family and I to have had the opportunity to tour the space alone. Additionally, this meant that now our group was too big to use the golf cart and we would now have to walk the entire tour. We walked for an hour and a half. We did not know we would be walking so much and my parents grew quite tired by the end of the tour. We also had not worn shoes that facilitated long walks. Our group also included a 10 month old baby who grew fuzzy by the end of the hour and a half tour. My biggest concern however was at the end of the tour when we went back to the office. Our tour guide left my family and I waiting in a room while she went and helped the other group that had toured with us first. I am not certain how the decision was made of which group she would help and which group would simply wait, but it was impossible not to take it personally that we were the ones who were made to wait. The other group was interested in a larger more expensive wedding, while my fiancé and I were interested in hosting a smaller more intimate wedding. Another thing that is difficult to mention but felt poignant in the decision of who would receive service and who would wait was the fact the other group was white and we were Latino. Overall, although I loved the venue and would have liked to have my wedding there, I could not remove the bad impression that was left on my fiancé, my parents, and myself. I encourage Cross Creek Ranch to not double book appointments and make sure that each bride-to-be feels seen, heard, and valued during tours. read more

BAIT & SWITCH! The owner was very misleading when touring us on her property about what was included in the largest wedding package. During our tour she told us "flowers are included" but she didn't mention they were SILK FAKE FLOWERS! She also said we can have "alcohol" at the wedding but she didn't tell us no liquor. She was extremely misleading and thankfully we asked specific questions before signing the contract or we would have been very disappointed and stuck paying for an expensive wedding with fake flowers. read more

I am a wedding photographer and just did a wedding at the smaller venue. I wasn't expecting much, but I was really wowed. Their staff was fabulous. They walked around with walkie-talkie microphones so they were able to coordinate every part of the event, and everything happened according to the timetable (a first for me!) The grounds are just lovely--a photographer's dream--so the wedding photos are beautiful. I see some of the negative comments in other reviews, but having worked a number of weddings, I can say without hesitation that this place was my favorite. What some are calling "dated" I see as adorably quaint. It's like getting married in a cute bed and breakfast. If that's not your thing, go to a fancy (and sterile) hotel! read more

Our son and daughter-in-law's wedding was held at Cross Creek on 9/22/18. It was an absolutely perfect day in every way. From the moment we arrived to the very end of our special evening, we were welcomed in and made to feel like it was our Ranch. Every small detail was taken care of and the staff was delightful. Nothing seemed impossible for them to handle. Our son and daughter-in-law were out of state during the wedding planning and the staff was so accommodating. The staff worked closely with them on every detail and was able to accomplish this by working with the couple's travel schedule. They responded to each and every question from the families and returned every call. Nothing seemed to be a problem for them to accomplish. They guided us through our decorating choices and shared their experiences to help us make decisions for a beautiful day. The vendors were easy to work with and were top notch. From the rehearsal to the ceremony to the reception everything was wonderful. We were completely relaxed because the Ranch's team had everything under control and timed perfectly. As we closed our evening and wished our happy couple farewell, we knew they had a wedding that was everything they wanted and we could not have asked for more. Went to a friend's wedding at Cross Creek Ranch on a Sunday afternoon in April. It was a very hot day. I had read so many good reviews about it that I couldn't wait to attend. There was a woman named "Becky" who was like a wedding planner that was very knowledgeable and friendly. She really kept things moving and seemed to be doing a great job for the bridal party and guests. The staff was friendly. I thought the location was quaint and rustic, certainly not "stunning" ..... My friend had 60 guests so she had the smaller venue, (B&B area) and it was "tight". When we were all told to gather for the cake cutting in the small lobby of the B&B it felt like sardines in a can. The food was okay. The roast was good, but the vegetables were hard. After 8:00 p.m. WATCH OUT, the mosquitos will eat you alive! The venue has potential but it's dated. The floor of the B&B is hideous and does not go with the rest of the decor. The gazebo where the ceremony takes place is old and could use a new coat of paint. It would have looked a lot better with more flowers covering it up. The place could stand a good cleaning. read more
