I've been coming here for years and have finally seen one too many examples of appallingly bad…read moreconduct from the lifeguards. In my time coming here I've seen a lifeguard laugh at a disorientated, dehydrated old man asking for water and tell him to go buy some from the vending machine. I had to deal with it. I've seen people in the showers with all the drain covers off so anyone could stick their foot in the large, wide holes and break their ankle. Just a week ago I pointed out that the lanes were set up going in the wrong direction and that the children in the lane next to the adult fast lane could get injured by clashing arms . The lifeguard threw his arms up angrily and more or less said he didn't care. The swimming coach of the children dealt with it. When I later explained to the lifeguard why the lane directions alternate he stared in the other direction with his arms crossed saying "alright mate, alright mate" repeatedly like a sulking thirteen year old. The swimming lessons are very good and the teachers very professional - possibly the staff are from a different company. Other than that I'm stuck in a membership with this centre and have no desire whatsoever to have to keep dealing with the minority of rude, immature lifeguards.

I Cancelled the membership the day afterwards and two years later discovered they had issued a County Court Judgement against me! Parkwood Leisure, who own the centres are not nice people to deal with, they are insensative and hide behind 'guidelines' so please please please tread very carefully.

This was the dirtiest swimming pool I have ever been in, in the UK and abroad. Up the stairs to the…read moreflumes there was thick brown sludge on every stair and around the pool area grey sludge. I had been told by a few people there had been recent refurbishments, but the slides were discoloured and ancient looking...pretty sure they are the same slides from when I went here as a kid over 25 years ago. I would never go back and especially wouldn't take children here.

Reading the reviews below seems most people have had a pretty bad experience here. So to try and…read moreput them in context. The pool is in the centre of Bromley right next to a rather impressive shopping centre. It is in the middle of some major building works they are adding bowling and soft play not sure if they are improving the pool or the changing rooms. The entrance area and reception are are in the middle of works so not much room for queuing we walked straight in when we arrived but the queues were long when we left. The showers were fine the changing rooms not great and the pool is strictly family leisure. Nowhere to swim lengths here and nowhere to dive. But as a busy if small family pool its fine. Bubble beds, a rather good wall waterfall, a large water jet, tipping bucket all were working. The wave machine is a bit tame to be honest. There is a separate toddler pool. The only real reason to visit is the slides be aware though these are the only slides I know that operate a height rule. 1.4m to ride Kraken and 1.1m for The Buccaneer. So Kraken first an exhilarating fast slide my 8 year old managed to slip past the height mark and was impressed seriously fast a great slide. The Buccaneer is more leisurely but still a solid slide. They both snake above the main pool worth a visit but probably just the once for the experience. I would recommend travelling a couple of stops further out of town if your kids are keen swimmers to the pool at Swanley
