Our old dog struggled in his last months. they were so kind and attentive the many times we took him in. When it was his time, and we took him in to have him put down, the Vets and the staff were so gentle and kind to our dog, and to us. Several months later, one of our kitties got terribly sick. She spent several days at the clinic and they went above and beyond trying to figure out what was wrong. I thought she was probably not going to live but they saved her life. They are very reasonably priced. I cant say enough good things about this clinic.

Being an older dog we hesitated to sedate him. While in Spearfish we contacted Dr Holcomb, DVM and were very pleased. She diagnosed his "cyst" as a large skin tag, performed a local and removed it with a few stitches and a follow up visit (med included) Less than $150. (Remember prices will vary with rising costs). We used her several times during our stay here in Spearfish and had routine yearly shots done for both dogs. Prices were so extremely reasonable I had to question if being charged for one dog or two. Aside from pricing she is a wonderful, no nonsense matter of fact Vet with expert knowledge and common sense approach to pet care. HIGHLY recommend her and would come back in a heartbeat.

After 3 days of travel, Apollo had gotten so stressed being thrown into the car and hotel rooms that he had a urinary blockage. This can be fatal in male cats if not caught early. Luckily we were hyper aware of his litterbox usage because it was in the car and noticed within 24 hours. That morning we took him to Animal Medical Center in Gillette and Dr. Hull was our vet. She was AMAZING. Answered every single question, gave us options, her recommendation and gave the best care to our boy. We took him back to the hotel that afternoon and decided to stay the night to let him chill out. We called Dr. Hull to ask one more question when she OFFERED to come in early the next morning to check him out again before we hit the road. AND comped it. And I think one of the things that stands out SO much, is the 3-5 follow up calls we have received to check on him. We are now about 1,000 miles from Gillette and even knowing that we likely will not return to this vet because we live in the Midwest now, they have STILL repeatedly called to check on our cat. She is the ONLY person I can count on to always answer and to always give me direct, knowledgeable advice. No nonsense! She goes far above and beyond and deeply cares for animals. Tonight I had an issue with my cat after normal, clinic hours and she was the only one that answered my call. She gave me advice on what to do and even called me back awhile later to check up on how everything was going.
