Clarks offer one of the most comfortable shoes for me. Now as long as I can find some pair(s)…read morewhich are in the style I like, I'm in business. Outlet stores offer buy one pair and get 1/2 off on the second pair (of equal or lesser value) deal. If you can find two pairs you really like, it might make it worthwhile to purchase your shoes here. My wife and I sometimes have good luck finding one pair each (of similar value) to take a full advantage of their offer. Even then, it translates into about 25% off per pair of already reduced outlet prices. If the second pair is a lot less than the first, you really don't receive a good deal. Additional 10% military discount is a plus any day. Happy hunting.

Then you get the 3rd degree, name, phone, card, etc. in the name of preventing theft. Come-on, real stores don't do this. And it's not like we were asking for cash back, just for the charges to go back on our friend's card. Of course the automaton behind the counter keeps repeating that all of this is precautions against theft, but we're asking for the money to go back on the card, like all other real stores do. Then she says we need the credit card, so we get our friend to send us a picture of the card. In the 5 seconds it took to do that, she bumped us to the back of the line to take the only other customer. When we give her our friend's credit card details, she finds more things she needs. After about 25 minutes, and her checking the shoes in the box 3 times (uh, they didn't change in the 5 minutes since you last did the same thing..), we just continue to get frustrated. Eventually, she offers us store credit (uh, wasn't the whole precautionary logic about the 3rd degree to prevent theft and now you just gave us store credit without "vetting" us). After this nightmare, the problem was over and our friend has store credit and we can luckily never set foot in this store again.

This time it was a pitstop on the way back from Ren Fest. A place to eat and get off the road. And for Kid K to shop. I told her it would probably be busy since it was an outlet mall on a Saturday. It was not. Hardly anyone there. Half the stores were gone, empty, and a fair number of those still there were not open. We went to Carter's, TJ Maxx, BBW, and Pottery Barn. All huge, all with lots of interesting items. Most not at great prices, but a few real deals. Service at each was friendly. Not super easy to find each store, though there are signs at the end of each row. Easiest way to get around was to look at Yelp and see where each store was. No food to speak of in the mall. Fast food and a few other places out at the road. Restrooms were clean. And amusing (see pic.) The outlet down 71 slowly withered and died. This doesn't look that bad. Yet. It'll probably be years before I'm back, and I am not betting on it being open then...

Even the Nike store! Sunglasses store is open, has quite extensive selection of sun glasses, i love one of the Gucci glasses, but the price is not less than on line, i don't see an outlet price
