This is a great place. I'm a novice shotgunner. They offer lessons. Most instructors offer lessons…read morearound $100 / hour. Everyone seemed very welcoming. Definitely much easier to get started than golf. You can do skeet, trap, or sporting clays here. The courses are challenging for me. You can bring your own cart or rent a golf cart. Never tried it, but I guess Wed evenings you can get a fairly large steak for $20. If you have any interest in shotgun sports, then I would suggest checking it out.

What a lovely facility in Jacksonville to shoot "birds"! I had the wonderful opportunity to…read moreparticipate in an event here and was amazed at the facilities. Ample parking, inside the building was spacious and well set up for a lunch buffet. The restrooms were clean and convenient and having the store onsite provides ability to purchase ammo and other needs for your shooting comfort. The staff were knowledgeable and friendly and before the competition started with a safety briefing and explanation of the rules. I was particularly impressed with the golf-course style course where we were provided a golf cart to navigate the north and south courses to accommodate our very large gathering! Our groups first station had a malfunction in the throwing machine and they very promptly had staff out to attempt to fix it. I did not get to try out the trap range as it wasn't a part of our experience but overall I'm really impressed with the facilities and staff. I'm looking forward to coming back in the future!

A well run facility that has something for everyone. I just stopped by to sight in my new Ar9 SBR…read moreand was impressed by the size of the place. Staff was friendly and left you alone once you got checked in. A steel plate on my lane came down and within 5 mins, someone pulled up to replace it. So points for being on top of things. Lots of lanes to shoot handgun/rifle and they had some lanes reserved for mag dumps and rapid fire. Kinda wish I had a giggle switch, but it would have been a short visit as I only had 300 rounds. I will be back the next time I'm in the area.

As a loyal member for the past 2 years, I will seriously think twice before renewing my membership…read morenext year. In fact, two of my friends have already decided not to renew theirs. There is an older gentleman in management who seems completely unhappy and shows zero hospitality or appreciation toward loyal members. The overall staff seems to have changed a lot recently too, and honestly, I can understand why they wouldn't want to stay in that kind of work environment. Even with a membership, the club has become overcrowded, oversaturated, and disorganized. It's clear this stems from management not valuing the loyal members who invest in the facility. I will be looking for another club--even if it's a bit further away--that can offer a much better experience and atmosphere. Disappointing.

On Target Sports - My daughter after some great tips from Jonathan on the range

My Ruger LCP II .22 caliber pistol really messed up and jammed badly. I got help from Jonathan, a…read morerange supervisor, who saw my ammo and suggested it wasn't right. I learned that .22 Long is not the same as .22 Long Rifle. Less grains and slightly shorter. Those bullets were jamming my gun. Looking forward to shooting with right bullets.

OTS is serviceable, but there are better experiences to be had at other ranges…read more The range itself, * The target system is very nice and modern, as is the ventilation. * Being able to staple targets is a plus. * The sound concussion is wild, .223/5.56 sounds as loud as .308s I've stood next to at other indoor ranges. Of all the places I've shot, I absolutely have to double up on hearing protection here. They really should invest in putting up sound deadening foam on the walls. As for the staff, * Some are friendly and genuinely good people, then a few are straight up standoffish. * Atmosphere in general can be somewhat unwelcoming. * The RSO's are inconsistent, one guy was perfectly fine with me practicing emergency reloads then the next time I came I was told I'm not allowed too by someone else. * You need to be a paying member just to qualify for practicing draws from concealment. I understand walking someone through safe drawing practices before giving the green light. However, other ranges will allow you to do this and work with you on safe technique, free of charge. * Way too excessive on ammunition check, once I brought in factory new sealed boxes of Fiocchi 5.56 55gr m193 ball and 9mm 115gr fmj they opened and ran a magnet through all of them. Final thoughts, This happens to be the closest indoor range to me, but I'd rather drive farther at the cost of my convenience in exchange for a better experience.
