This was recommended for A quick dessert after drinks and dinner. The smell of the cones lured me. I skipped the ice cream and only got the crispy cone with cookie butter. The cone was warm and had a light cinnamon sprinkle. I'd get the whole sch-bang next time. Counter service was friendly and there are tables to sit and enjoy your treat.

We were in town today on our way to the northeast. Before dinner we walked around main Street and saw this place. After dinner we decided to give this place a try for dessert and it did not disappoint. They have about five or six popular cones so I went with the berry cheesesteak cone. It had vanilla ice cream, raspberry drizzle, strawberries, cheesecake bites, blueberry jam, and a standard cone. It looked and tasted great. My husband had vanilla ice cream with Nutella drizzle and Nutella inside a standard cone. He also loved his selection. Service was quick and friendly.

The place is located in the heart of Columbia. A few steps away from the state house. It's in a great space for foot traffic and if you want to scroll the street with a dessert. Very trendy spot. Service was friendly. This was my first time here and the nice lady at the register exercised her patience while I grasp the concept of what this place was about lol! The ice cream was ok. It's just regular ice cream with suggested toppings or you can create your own. The cone is where I have the problem. I was not the target audience for the cone. It didn't have a flavor to me, and because it's fried....the oil/grease just gives it a weird taste to pair with ice cream. And it was hard. I guess that's why it's named "crispy" cone, LOL! If they can somehow make the cone into an elephant ear (you know those big fried pastries you get from the county fair) maybe it will have a better taste and texture. If you're reading this, give this experience a try for yourself. Maybe you will like it. I believe there is an option to get the ice cream without the cone. For 2 "crispy cones" we paid just a little over $20.00. I don't think I will be back unless they improve the recipe of the cone, since that is whats driving up the cost of this desert. But try it for yourself. Good luck.

Well to start, cones should be crispy... ordered 2 different flavors. Both were soft and tasteless Pistachio soft serve or ice creams didn't taste like pistachio. The vanilla ice cream even McDonald vanilla soft serve taste much better. So the name of the place is a misrepresentation. The girls were nice and attentive. I would not waste my money in this business. Not worthy

So delicious! We got here at 9 pm on a Sunday and at 9:15 the line was out the door, so definitely plan on timing. They have a ton of options and create the entire cone right in front of you. It's pricey, but worth it. The cones are made of dough, almost like a donut but I personally don't like donuts and still loved this cone. It was also filling! There are only a few tables in there that filled up quick as well, so if planning to eat there, keep that in mind. I think it could feel more homey and more interaction with staff, but ice cream came out quick.

I've been dying to try crispy cones and wanted to make it on their grand opening, but I'm glad I finally made it. They're located at the beginning of Main Street pretty easy to find upon answering the restaurant. It was clean and welcoming, and the staff was friendly. The bathrooms were extremely clean as well. I was super excited to finally get to try this tasty treat each week. They rotate new flavor combinations, and then they also have traditional items. I went with the strawberry pie and it was absolutely delicious.

I don't get the hype of this place. It's fairly new so I'm sure they're still working out the kinks. I think signage should be up high. There was numerous times customers had to tell those walking in the difference between order counter and pickup line. Ice cream itself was ok the cone I wasn't a fan of flavorless. I'd probably just get in a cup if I returned.

Decided to try this establishment for the first. The atmosphere was nice and the interior was superb. However, the product was very average. I suggest getting a better serving tray besides the plastic cone cup. We couldn't enjoy the crispy cone because trying not to make a mess. You do get wet hand wipes. The concept is nice just need some tweaking..

I wanted to love this place and while I do like the concept, i just did not enjoy the product. Tbis is kid of Temu Marble Slab. There is ample space for sitting and enjoying a cone or cup of ice cream and there are handy kiosks that you can use to order if you do not need a live cashier but the price will hit you big time. I ordered your tipical vanilla cone in a crispy (more doughy) sugared cone with two toppings, cookie dough and oreo cookie with a Nutella drizzle. The cost was around $11.50! A family of 4 can easily spend $40 to $50. Let's talk about the product. The cone was not a crispy cone, in fact, it has more of a cinnamon bun like, doughy texture. Not bad if you like that sort of thing but I prefer a good old crispy, fresh, cake cone or waffle cone. The ice cream was not really creamy and tastes more like an ice-milk than ice cream. Very light but not that creamy, flavorful taste I was looking for. Lastly the toppings were sprinkled in and the Nutella drizzle was picture perfect, but it did not have the taste of Nutella. It was more like a milk chocolate Hershey's syrup. It's a nice little place to have Main Street, but with the lack of parking and other options nearby, I don't see this being a regular spot for me. And I love ice cream!

Im in love with crispy cones! I ate mine too fast that I didn't get a photo of my cones. The soft serve is heaven and the cones are to die for. We got a strawberry and banana cone for my niece and the fruit was so fresh! The staff is so friendly and helpful when it came making a decision. Will definitely be back for another cone!

Chocolate with Cookie Dough, Nutella, and Caramel...but looks can be deceiving.

Seems like if you call yourself "Crispy Cones," your cones would be, um, crispy. I'm pretty sure that the concept is inspired by Eastern European chimney cakes, where the dough is wrapped around a metal mold and roasted over a charcoal fire. With those, they get crispy and caramelized on the outside but are still cooked through on the inside. The cones here, however, are not that. Because they are baked instead of roasted, I don't think they get hot enough in the time they are in the oven to actually cook through. My cone was completely doughy and undercooked on the inside. This texture was then made worse by coating the inside with a filling (mine was Nutella), and then adding mediocre soft-serve ice cream (chocolate, vanilla, or swirl were the only options). The staff preparing the cones were very attentive to detail, so I'll give them that. But they individually placed each one of my cookie dough nuggets on the cone. That's a lot of time to take on one cone. The one thing they got right for this combination was the caramel drizzle. Hard to mess that up. To add to the experience, these cones are pretty expensive. $10 each for a doughy mess. Would not recommend.

This would have honestly been a 1 had the restaurant not been as clean as it was, the aesthetic was as nice as it was and the customer service from the workers I came into contact with. The cashier was pleasant, the young man dressing the ice cream cones was nice and personable and the lady who was rolling cones and replacing spoons was pleasant. A few draw backs was when you walk in there is no direction or signage visible letting you know where to order and where to pickup. So when you walk in you end up standing in the long line to place an order but that's the pickup line and you don't know unless someone is nice enough to tell you. After you place your order it took about 15-20 minutes to get your soft served ice cream cone. Very chaotic. Sanitation violation, no one was wearing hair nets while prepping these food items. Long hair hanging down in their faces nearly touching the cones and ingredients. Also the lady rolling the cones was doing it by hand with no gloves on and she had her wedding ring on. Image how much dirt, grime, bacteria etc is under that ring and on her hands. Now every cone she made is contaminated and is a erved to the public. Ironically she put on gloves to refill the spoons. Very unsanitary. Now let's get to the meat and potatoes of the review. I waited 15-20 minutes for my order and when I got it all of my toppings had fallen off and on to the floor by the time I made it to my table. I watched everybody's topping fall off of their cone often staining their clothes. There has got to be a better way. I did ask for replacement toppings and the accommodated me. The ice cream was decent, The cone was tasteless and the texture was horrible. I honestly would not recommend to my family and friends. It is overpriced and overhyped. It was also a nightmare to find parking which no fault of their own. The max capacity was 49 customers and they exceeded that by double atleast. Approximately $10 per cone.

A nice clean place. Seating inside and service was very nice. You order and wait a few minutes for your Oder. Great place for family or friends.

This is a unique ice cream cone. The cone itself is airy and delicious. The ice cream and topping combinations are fun.

The big factor for her was that it was a dessert that was clean and she could get a dessert that didn't make her feel terrible afterwards! We were welcomed by the friendliest gentleman, who turned out to be the owner! He explained all of the different bar options to us and allowed us time to pick. My sister told me she had the pistachio and loved it, so I just had to get it since it was likely my only time visiting. I chose to dip it in dark chocolate and coat with chopped pistachios. The bar had the consistency of a fudgesicle and the toppings were just the right amount to add a crunch. The bar itself was not overly sweet which made it very delightful. My sister tried the plain coffee and said it was very good and not overly sweet. Her mother in law got the Raspberry dipped in dark chocolate and coated with chopped almonds. The store itself is very clean and the artwork is captivating. There's a little wall for photo ops as well. There's also one bathroom available in the back. I spoke to the owner and he was very friendly. We connected over Columbus, OH as he works for a company there and I live there. I hope I've convinced him to open a store in Columbus because I think it would do really well! You can tell he takes great pride in his store and truly enjoys this venture. The attention to detail as he dips the bars caught my eye - it truly is a work of art. It would be easy to just dip and dunk and serve but he drizzles the tray, dips to create angles, carefully adds toppings, then drizzles more to top it off. Definitely work a visit!
