This place should get zero stars. It's rare to come across such blatant theft. I dropped off my…read moreboots in early December, as the soles were no longer glued well. There are shoes piled up everywhere, in no apparent order. I was told I would get a text when my shoes were ready. I waited a month, but then it was the holidays and I figured I'd check in early in the New Year. When i called in early January, he had no idea which boots were mine even though I had a (worthless) ticket stub with a number on it. After 10 minutes of asking me details of what my boots look like, he said he found them and they weren't fixed, but he'd text me when they were ready. The next week I called, and he texted back "sick day." I texted two days later to see if he was open, but no response. I went in a week later to just try to get my boots back. At this point, I knew they wouldn't be fixed. Once we found my boots among the huge piles of shoes, he proceeds to immediately start using the blow dryer tool and making small talk, without giving me any chance to just take the unfixed boots back. They very clearly had not been reglued; there had been no glue reapplied. He handed them to me and demanded $20. I was shocked. I took the boots, and immediately saw that the soles were still not attached. Annoyed, I showed him. He immediately started yelling at me that I could go to Victoria if I didn't like how he did it. My husband was with me and was appalled as well. The man never intended to properly fix my boots. He just wanted my $20. Such blatant theft. If only I had checked the reviews before I'd been to this shop, or gone with my gut feeling when walking into this shop with mountains of boots and shoes piled up.

He would tell me to leave my husband and come be with him, that he would take much better care of me. I only returned because he was half a block from my work, and he did such an amazing job on my shoes. After my divorce I went back one more time; when he noticed I was no longer wearing my ring, he proceeded to invite me to move onto his boat with him and bring my kids, saying he would be the best daddy to my kids, and that I could call him Daddy too if I wanted. He's a major creep! After speaking to several other women I know, they too have experienced this gross behaviour and refuse to go anywhere near his shop.

Had the worst experience with Cardino's in Duncan. Will never shop at Cardino's again. I purchased…read morea pair of Bluntstone boots which had a defect in the heel. Asked them if there was a remedy of sort. They put a patch on "one" of the boots. Prior to going to Cardino's, I had previously taken boots to a cobbler to repair. The boot cobbler said that there needed to be a patch on "both boots" otherwise it would feel "un-even". The cobbler suggested that should return to the shoe store I purchased the boots, because Bluntsone had a very good reputation and that Cardino's may be able to deal with the issue. I took the boots to Cardinos in October 2025 and they said they would deal with it. I return in November to pick up the "repaired boots" and they had put a patch on only one of the boots, and replied with "that's the best we can do". Went home and wore boots, within 30 minutes had a huge blister. Contacted Cardino's to let them know and they said to bring in the boots once again. I did so and never heard back. I contacted them in February 2026 and they said to pick up the boots. They had sat in their back room all this time, and said "that's the best we can do", which was nothing. Left the boots there for 2 days and went back to get my boots and they told me "we have disposed of them". When I asked what did they mean by "dispose of them meant, she replied with " I had abandoned them, and that they did not have to tell me how they disposed of them". I truly believe that Cardino's is un unprofessional, dishonest shoe store and that I shall continue to share this terrible experience with this horribly run shoe store. poo poo Cardino's

Nice shoes, but... Please read on…read more.. I thought this was great store. What happened? I received the worst customer service of my life when I questioned my receipt. Actually, up until the purchase, I received the bare minimum service. I actually felt like I was in the saleswomen's way while they did inventory on a Saturday afternoon. When I questioned the receipt I was treated like I was trying to get a bigger discount. Or something for free. NOT the case. Their discount offer was applied incorrectly, in my mind. But fine. That's how they do business. The way I was treated was another matter. I left feeling personally HUMILIATED. I was honestly stunned and upset by it. Shop here at your own risk. It might ruin your day. It certainly ruined mine.

Clean and tidy every time I have been there. The proprietor helped me when I thought a top was $32 and it actually said $82--she phoned the consigner and asked if they would take the lower price, and they agreed. She knows her stock very well and can help with ideas if you want, or leave you alone if you prefer that. Highly recommended.

But around a year and a half ago it became very difficult to collect the money that I was owed. I would have to call and e-mail several times over weeks and months before I was paid for the clothes they sold. About six months ago I was asked to pick up some clothes of mine that hadn't sold. After picking up the clothes, I noticed that some of the items had been damaged while in the care of Bella by Brianna. Multiple items had their tags ripped off the garments, which also ripped a bunch of the stitching and left holes in the seams. That was the last straw for me. I asked for my remaining unsold items to be returned and for my account to be closed. Brianne returned some items that had been dropped off recently. Including one shoe out of a pair :/ What am I going to do with one shoe!?! Brianne informed me that she would not be returning any of my other items because "anything past a 3 month period becomes property of the store". I signed a contract when I started consigning with her that did in fact state that items that had been at the store longer than 90 days become property of the store. Brianne assured me that was just to protect them in case of theft or other loss of items. I never imagined she would use that clause to justify not returning my items while also not giving me money for them when they sold. I picked up the items she was willing to return to me. While at the store, I saw other items of mine that were on display to be sold. In total, Brianne accepted 92 items of mine for consignment. 25 items sold, which I received ~$160 for. She returned 25 items. SHE REFUSED TO RETURN 42 UNSOLD ITEMS. Do yourself a favour and consign your items at more reputable store.
