To start with, he answered my request on a Sunday. When we set an appointment he showed up and was on time (I think even a touch early, which I am a fan of!), he was the ONLY contractor that showed up on time when I got quotes. After the meeting I had a quote by the end of the day. Again, the fastest to get the quote out. His price ended up being the most reasonable so we went for it. They were neat, clean and tidy the entire time, making sure to keep as low an impact on the day to day living as possible. I also loved that it was the owner and one other person. My backyard wasn't full of random people wandering around the yard and there weren't trucks lining the entire block. They took their time, paid a LOT of attention to detail, worked steadily and were very thorough over the 4 days they were here. Believe me you don't want a rushed job. I was sent a contract to sign and signed it. I should have read the contract with a fine tooth comb. There is a clause in there that allows them to change the final price if they feel they need to. They did not tell me it was going to be more money prior to performing the work or even at the time they felt it was going to be more involved. It wasn't until I got the final invoice that they added $500 to a $1600 estimate. In addition I had to have the just about redo the entire job due to poor workmanship. The skeleton of the fence was done terribly. The cuts looked like a child did them. The had to send a separate crew the next day to start over. I imagine this is why the determined to add $500 to the cost of the of the job. Bottom line buyer beware. This is a predatory type contract. They even wanted me to sign a document that gave them the ability to debit my account as soon as the job was done. Thankfully I didn't allow that. In the end I elected to pay the money on the advice of my attorney. I do not recommend them due to this predatory contract they use.
