I found her on Groupon and I contacted her first to see if she would prefer that I pay her directly if she would honor the Groupon rate and she was grateful for that gesture ( tip: bc Groupon takes a 50% cut from the already discounted price offered on the site, a lot of service people will honor the price and much rathe that you pay them the full cost directly.) I got the Groupon, which I think was my first mistake. My hair turned out alright, but it's more of a partial balayage than a full. As others have mentioned, my long hair was $55 extra - it would make more sense to have two different Groupon options for long and short hair so the pricing is transparent to the customer right off the bat. My appointment was double booked with someone else, so I was with Cayley for almost six hours. Not sure if she just does this to Groupon customers or what. With all the waiting around, I wish I had known to leave an entire day open for my hair (I have light brown hair that has been balayaged plenty of times, so it's not like it was a significant transformation or anything.). I could tell she was very rushed, and she spent about five minutes on the haircut part of my package, adding some random layers in. Parking was another $15, and I tipped over $50 because in the poor lighting I thought she had done a good job. She didn't thank me or anything for my patience, for double booking me, or the tip. Minor, but it kind of rubbed me the wrong way at the end of the day. In daylight, where the balayage starts is really choppy and unblended, and there are huge chunks of my hair that went untouched. Pretty disappointed with the outcome, and at the end of the day I spent almost as much as I would have paid without the Groupon. I visited family two days later and my sister told me my "color has lasted a long time" - she thought that this was my same color from 8 months ago. Based on my experience, I don't feel that Cayley is bad - I just think she was extremely short on time, which affected my result. read more

I picked up the Groupon offer considering the reviews it got there and on Yelp. We had quite a fough time coordinating considering hers and mine busy work hours but she was sweet to text and call me one day to accomodate me on her schedule. She said she usually doesnt take an appointment beyond 6 but she accomodated me for a 7pm. I felt she was really sweet about it. Her studio is a cute spot near the Hollywood walk of fame. We got quite chatty while she did wonders to my hair post shampooing and conditioning it. Very down to earth and friendly. She gave a good styling to my frizzy long hair. Im gonna return back. She answered my message and I was so excited to schedule my shampoo, condition and hair cut with her. She has the cutest studio and keeps it very clean. She introduced her self and quickly offered me something to drink, she is honestly the sweetest person!. She is easy to talk to and really listens to what you want. My haircut is beautiful and my hair is so soft from the hair treatment she used. She really takes her time making sure everything is perfect. As the ratings suggest, Cayley is amazing! Her salon is located inside Salon Republic. I bought a balayage + cut through Groupon. We had a consultation first and she really took the time to figure out what I wanted with my hair and I was able to trust her fully. She is also super personable and not a typical scissor-happy/product-pushing stylist. Color: Cayley explained the coloring process thoroughly (balayage vs. highlights) before doing anything. I have dark hair and I was worried about orange hair, but she did a great job blending everything with my existing highlights to make it look very natural and not so brassy. Toner was also included in the price, which is essential. I've been to some salons where they charge extra for toner. Cayley is a color expert and is very knowledgeable. Cut: She also fixed a bad haircut that I previously got done at a different salon. She added more volume and layers. Loved the blowout and my hair smelled so good afterward. Parking: The only downside is paying for parking (same structure as the Arclight theatre). It can get pricey even w/ validation especially if you stay longer than 3 hours (I paid $14). Setting up an appointment was a little weird, I texted and called and no answer for several days, which made me a lil upset because I wanted to book an appointment right after I purchased it, but had to wait. After finally getting a hold, we scheduled an appointment. I didn't wash my hair that day thinking i'd get a champu y condish, but she asked to cut my hair dry. My hair is a little tricky, so whatever it takes for the stylist to feel comfortable cutting it, makes me feel better too. And she's not the first hairstylist to cut my hair dry. The end result was undeniably nice, the technique in which she cuts hair is good, and she even gave it a light curl. I wanted a new look, something that's different but not too crazy. I have been a brunette for a couple years and it was time for a change. I was referred to Cayley by a friend who told me that she's great at color. I was a little hesitant at first since with color it can go 50/50 and it all depends on your hair and how well the color sets in. Anyway, I made my apt at her super cute studio. I like that it's just one room and no one around to keep bothering her as you know most hair salons can be distracting and what should only take an hour or two can take up two three or four with all the distractions. She was great! She gave me a balayage since I wanted a change but didn't want to come into the studio too often - I have zero patience. My hair came out so cute! She gave me a trim too obviously just so I have a fresh cut to go with my new do.
