Thank you "Le Crillon", you hosted us and our entourage of two kids beautifully.
The welcome was warm and personal. The rooms were most charming, with special themes in every one of them. The surrounding was most lovely, definitely medieval, artisan, and countryside.
But what we really recommend is the cuisine. Do not miss the chef Edward Cristaudo's menus, one 3-course, the other 6-course. Basically you chose the courses you desire from the general menu ... and off you go into the delicious world of Michelin-star like cuisine. Fresh produce, local inspiration and more classical French influences make for a marvelous and most enjoyable meal experience.
Wines are most reasonably priced (as is the menu) and are well-discovered amongst the best local producers (there are other, non-regional wines on the menu, though)
All of our connoisseur taste buds were delighted. The very competent, friendly and personal service was delightful AND classy, but never pretentious. Just a delightful break from the often stuffy Michelin-star service, without giving up the culinary quality, innovation and taste.
We will certainly return to "Le Crillon". read more
