Citotel de Provence isn't one of the more charming hotels in the region, but what it lacks in ambience, more than makes up for it in service.
Although we weren't thrilled about staying in the area near the train station, CDP was one of the few hotels in town that had a family room, as most of the more charming hotels required that we book 2 rooms or squeeze in a rollaway bed into a small space.
Therefore, we were happy to find and book a room with 3 beds at CDP, and even more so when we arrived in Orange late in the evening after a daylong road trip to be greeted by a friendly and welcoming reception.
After traveling through many parts of France, we've come to appreciate the hospitality of the inn keepers, which is not to be taken for granted, and especially after an exhausting drive, we were grateful that the owners made every effort to accommodate our needs, like finding a covered parking in their garage for our car.
We really appreciated their hospitality and will definitely keep CDP in mind the next time we're in Orange. read more
