Cricket's system is very outdated, switching from Verizon was a major pain for us. We saw online…read morethat we should be able to keep our numbers but that was not an option at all. Calculated an immediate savings for our family of five of nearly $300 a month vs Verizon however that was nearly a decade ago and times have changed. I have noticed the price differences for unlimited everything between carriers is seriously reduced. Cricket is still a decent carrier, offering good service with a top value compared to all other options. Going on 10 years with Cricket now, here is my verdict: Best wireless option for North America and doesn't dumb down to consumers or act like a snob like Verizon. Prices and coverage are fair, probably the only network with this balance. There is zero difference between what I notice currently everyday being with others on other networks. Every network has random dead spots, have yet to be with anyone on AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, or others that consistently keeps more coverage than I do. My sister has gone to Montreal and was glad to get great service and data at no additional costs or tweaks to our plan. The online account experience is smooth and intuitive for maintaining, tracking, and adjusting each part of our family plan. I am not happy with a five line limit. This is probably the biggest issue with Cricket. There's also no business or professional options offering faster speeds, enhanced 5G WIFI hotspots, or international coverage. I really want to see Cricket maintain its head ahead of the others in the next couple years as competition continues to evolve and bring in smarter better values options.

Sometimes I'm very happy to update a review, and today is one of those times…read more I've been considering upgrading my cel phone and wanted to check out the larger sizes in person so I could see if one would be right for me. I'm horrible at deciding between 2 options if they are close, and the two phones I was considering are very similar. This location is closest to home, so I gave it another try. I went in and browsed for a bit, trying to find the models I wanted to see. Everyone was busy, but they acknowledged me and said someone would be with me ASAP. Very nice! I had a lot of questions, and Joshua was very patient with me and answered everything. He brought out a couple of phones that were similar to what I was asking about. We talked about android versus apple and how the systems were similar and different. He also pulled up a current promotion that would help me out. In the end, he helped me make a decision, but they didn't have the phone I wanted in stock. Based on my experience there, I would definitely go back. In theory, that would be enough to help me give them 5 stars. There were just a few minor points that knocked off that store. They aren't major, but worth noting. --Lots of phones on display aren't working models, but I'm sure they have some available to bring out. --1 or 2 phones might not be marked correctly. The phone I wanted to see had a sign for another phone by it, so that was confusing. --They don't always stock a full line. This is the second time I have wanted to purchase a phone only to find they didn't stock it. They can order it and have it there quickly, but I like to do everything in one visit when possible. If you stop in and spend some time with someone, try to make sure that person gets your sale. They work on commission, so it makes a difference. I didn't give Joshua my sale because I'm an impatient old cuss, so please give him yours!

Then he said the back was damaged. Took it out of the Otter Box and the only damage was a little bit of wear on the top from the case. Basically, Deacon lied to me! Also while I was in there, he and a fellow employee started bad mouthing all the past female employees and stated that they didn't want anymore women working in the store. I ended up settling on the $150 to have straight cash, but wish I could've gotten a little more for such a collectible item. I loved the assortment and variety, but it is a little bit on the pricey side. There's a little bit of everything in the shop, and chances are, if you can think of it, there's a possibility it's there. Definitely one of my favorite video game shops based on variety. Lots of older and newer consoles, headsets (new and used), controllers (new and used), cameras, iPhone/android phones (lots of older models), and tons of video games, cd's, records, posters, and accessories for video games from throughout the years. The shop is a bit cluttered, but that adds to the charm. I've found over the years that the cluttered shops tend to have more of what you need, more of what you don't need, and things you didn't know existed. I thoroughly enjoyed looking through everything in the shop, as I am a bit of a "collector" of everything. Now on to the part of the Owner.. Reading the reviews ahead of time, I was scared to be met by a middle aged women with the personality of the Wicked Stepmother from Cinderella. When my girlfriend and I walked in, we were met with a "hello! How are you?" by the shop owner, who, after asking, is named Fran. Just like all pawn shops, she buys low and sells high, and I gotta respect the hustle. We had a chat for a while, and I ended up purchasing a Switch Lite from her. Overall, I really enjoyed my experience with the shop and it's owner. Fran is truly a nice lady if you're friendly and respectable towards her. I plan on making a trip to this shop every time I'm in the Lafayette area! My review breakdown: I gave her and her shop 4 stars. I enjoyed the shop and the "clutter" (treasure, in my opinion) and I enjoyed getting past the negative reviews on Fran and her shop. Will be back!

When my son tried to return the phone, the owner refused to take the phone back or to return my son's $100. We tried to work with the owner to explain the problem, but that only resulted in us being asked to leave the store.
