I started using crew cut lawns this year, and I have had no issues with them at all. The customer service is always polite and responsive to my requests. The crews, though they change often, are still very professional, and I have never had any problems. If something changes, such as my mow day or my pet waste day, they call to inform me of the change. I recommend them to all my family and friends. read more

They do amazing work, haven't missed a day work, even I'm the pouring rain and have remedied all the issues that we had with them in the past. I called the company early May for an estimate. The guy came out, gave me a bid to clean my backyard and cut, dethatch and fertilize my front yard. I have two big dogs and told him I needed the dog run cleaned as well. He agreed to the job and gave we signed a contract. I called the office to find out when the job would be done since the holiday was coming up and I was having a party. I called again mid month since I'd not heard from them and they set up an appointment and told them to call before they came because I had to secure my dogs. So far so good. The guys showed up while I was at work the Thursday before the Holiday and I told them I was cross town so they said they'd come back the next day, which they did. I watched as they mowed the front lawn and moved on the backyard. They raked the debris against my house and left. I assumed they would be coming back and they didn't. I called the office late Fri afternoon and the woman told me she didn't know why they left and she would have the manager call me back with an explanation, a call that never came. I cancelled my party since the yard was a mess. I finally got to speak to the manager and he said the crew left because they don't clean dog waste! I asked why I was given a bid for a job they don't do and he got belligerent. He claimed that I should have read the contract better and he expected me to pay for a job not done. We argued for a while and he claimed the men did the front yard so he would only charge me for that. I told him that they didn't do anything but run a lawnmower over an already mowed lawn. He said he would be billing me $95 for that job instead of the $219. I am a disabled veteran, widow of a hero and a senior citizen. They tried to browbeat me into paying for a partial job. Apparently the are an unscrupulous outfit that is willing to trash their reputation for $95. I won't pay them a dime and I wish there was a zero star rating. If I sign a contract to paint your house and only paint the front and try to bill you for what I did do, that's crazy. read more

Very disappointed, I would not use Crew Cut Lawns ever again and will not recommend them to anyone. The guy who came out to give the estimate was very friendly but I feel they are tricky with their wording and we felt completely misled regarding the price we were quoted. We have never hired a lawn service before so I was very specific in asking how much it would cost per month to have our lawn mowed 2 times a month. We were told that would be their biweekly service and it would be $127. They did not say that is $127 per mow, it is actually $254/mo or I would not have signed up for service with them. When I received my bill I was shocked and thought it was in error. When I called their office, I spoke with Christine, she was curt and informed me matter of factly that the cost was per mow and said "you signed the contract, would you like me to mail you a copy?" End of conversation. She mailed a copy and it did say we would be billed each month but $127 every 2 weeks for each mow. It is our mistake for not reading the details before we signed the contract but both my husband and myself understood the guy who gave us the quote as quoting the service at $127/mo. We feel they were deceptive with the use of their words and defining their quote. Our lawn was mowed 4 times and it cost us $508.00! My wife and I tried for weeks and weeks to get Crew Cut Lawns to take care of our yard. They are completely unresponsive, and utterly uninterested in doing business. I would not recommend them at all, as they're totally unreliable. You'd have better luck convincing a moose to mow your yard, seriously. read more

I replied to a flyer left on my door. I talked to the office two times about a quote, stating I only wanted leaf raking and bagging with removal, no lawn Care fertilizer or lime, absolutely no lawn Care! When they got to my house, my wife told them no fertilizer or lime again. We got a bill in the mail that included fertilizer and lime! I called the office and told them that there's an error and we told them three times that we did not want fertilizer or lime or any sort of lawn care service other than pick up the leaves and remove the bags. Their resolve was not to admit their fault, but to give me a 10% discount. I rejected this because it implies that I did something wrong as a customer! So in principle, I'll be paying the entire bill and not using their service again. The leaf raking and bag removal was excellent otherwise. read more

I got a flyer on my door for this company so I called for their spring clean up offer. I am a disabled senior widow unable to do the work myself. I have 2 dogs, one was a big puppy (American Akita) who trashed the yard over winter with things she stole from the house and shredded in the yard. There is also a dog pen that needed attention. The representative showed up, wrote up the contract to mow, fertilize and dethatch the front yard, and clean up and haul away the debris from the backyard. The workers showed up, mowed the front lawn, then went to the backyard where they raked most of the debris against my house and left. No one ever came back to finish the job but I got a bill for $250.00. When I called the office, the man was rude, defensive and loud. He said they don't clean yards with dog waste. I asked why the person who wrote up the job agreed to it. He then tried to modify the contract on the phone for $95.00. I told him the guys just mowed and didn't finish. They tried to intimidate me and I just got a letter from a collection agency looking for over $300.00. Stay away from these thieves and losers. read more

TERRIBLE!!!!!! Last year was great so I thought I'd sign up for another year of lawn service. I scheduled the weekly mows and a crew came out once. I ensured then that I was on the weekly rotation and was guaranteed that I was. Two weeks later and no cut lawn I contacted them and the again guaranteed that I was on the schedule. A week later I called and they guaranteed that they would be out the next day. Almost a week of overgrown lawn later and still no service. I'm done. I will never use Crew Cut Lawns again for my lawn or snow removal. Additionally I could never recommend their service to anyone. Such a blatant disregard for customer service.
